History

Established in 2011.

I’m Ben, and I began to love photography during a time in my life spent living and working in several different parts of the world. These environments, full of life and color, inspired me to learn how to capture beauty on film.

Eventually this passion grew into a business, and Treece Photography was born. I’ve found that photography combines the best of my talents: an engineer’s knack for all things technical, plus an artist’s eye for capturing the spirit and beauty of my subject.

The most satisfying part of what I do is immortalizing a moment for my customer to treasure for a lifetime. Whether it’s the look in a groom’s eye when he first sees his bride, the proud smile of accomplishment on a high school senior’s face, or a newborn’s very first photo, I am totally committed to capturing the milestones in your life.

Business Owner

I’m Ben, and I began to love photography during a time in my life spent living and working in several different parts of the world. These environments, full of life and color, inspired me to learn how to capture beauty on film.

I grew up in east Tennessee in Kingsport, TN. I moved to North Carolina when I went to school at N.C. State and earned a B.S. in Textile Engineering. I then spend 6 years on staff working with college kids with an organization called Cru, formally known as Campus Crusade for Christ. I then spent the next several years of my life building my photography business along with working a local food truck called Poor Piggy’s BBQ. I’m currently enrolled at UNCW working on a masters degree to teach middle school grades math and science. I married the love of my life, Meredith, in 2013 and couldn’t image doing all the things I do without the love and support she gives!
