Triton Wash

I’ve been here a handful of times, always for their $ 30 express detail. It is a great deal! I always leave feeling like my car is brand new. They are very attentive to detail, and I’ve never been displeased (and I am very much a perfectionist). The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because sometimes they take a while, but that is usually dependent on the time of day/​weather. I try to go on off hours, but you just never know.
On the upside, they have a lovely outdoor sitting area you can relax in while you’re waiting.
The staff is friendly, and it’s obvious that customer service is a top priority for them.
I recommend this place for a good, affordable cleaning of your vehicle.

I stumbled upon this place and for the price, gave it a whirl. Good news is that it was relatively inexpensive. Bad news is that they didn’t clean half my car. As I said, I hadn’t planned to have the car cleaned, so when I went in, I asked for boxes to put all my stuff in while they cleaned. Car was very dirty and I had a lot of stuff that I was dropping off at various locations. But the fellow told me that they would move everything around and work around it. I waited a very long time — I thought they might be working on my car, but after seeing what they missed, I may have been wrong. I tipped the fellow — rather generously I think — because the car was in bad shape. When I got home, I found that not only had they not moved things around — they never even vacuumed the back of the car. There was debris clearly visible with nothing blocking their way in the crevises and they never vacuumed it. They also never put a cloth to the plastic cover that hides the contents of the back of the car. It had dirt on it. Still had the dirt when I got home. I cleaned it myself. When I picked up a package to bring it in to the house, I found debris on the front seat of the car — they never vacuumed that either. To be fair, there was a lot in the car, but I would rather have taken 5 minutes to empty it than to be left with the impression that someone just didn’t care. I plan to give them a second chance — with the car emptied of items. But I won’t be tipping before checking the next time.

I just came through the car wash, having paid for one of the top packages, and the job they did was not good. What really set me off, though, was that when I tried to ask the attendant wiping down the cars to get the outside mirrors (which he had missed), he waved me out of the lot and went to work on the next car. This after I had just handed him a big tip. Thinking he hadn’t heard me, I called to him again, and he just waved his hand harder for me to leave.
So I did. But 10 min later when I stopped for an errand, I saw that the shoddy mirror job was just a part of it. Spots all over the car, and big streaks of shine where they had not shined the whole wheel (as paid for).
The mirrors I could overlook. But the attitude of the attendant and the crappy overall job was unacceptable. Not worth the $ 20 for the car wash I paid.

Wow! I never realized how much fun washing your car could be.
Before coming to Triton, I had visions of scalding hot summer days, soaping up the family SUV with my kid brother, slaving for peanuts (aka building character), which was made even worse by looks of pity from the neighborhood kids and our mail carrier. So you can see why I was reluctant to spend a morning here of my own free will, but the boyfriend was so adorably insistent on getting my car «ready for the winter» that I couldn’t help but oblige.
I am glad I did, though, because a trip here actually brought up OTHER childhood summertime memories — namely, Super Soaker fights around the block. I know if I had had a super pressure gun on me that I would have wreaked (more) havoc when I was younger! It’s $ 5 for 8 minutes (you can’t pause, though, and it apparently prefers cash, though paying by card is supposedly an option), and you have a plethora of options from which to choose (from pre-​soak to foaming conditioner to rainbows shooting out of your brushes… just joshin’… or am I?). We started with the soap, then hit the high pressure water, and ultimately topped it off with a spot-​free rinse. And it came out sparkling!
There’s also an automated wash option, as well as exterior/​interior detailing, in case you’re not up for self servicing your vehicle. All in all, there’s something for everyone here in terms of sudsing up your wheels and getting it spic’n’span. Try it out – you won’t be disappointed!

1^st time. went to self serve car wash. 10 bucks to wash yourself for 7 minutes, but if you need a couple extra, better bring cash, because cards charge you again for 7 minutes total…20 dollars to wash my own car. I think I will just go to reading and get what I pay for.

Had a good experience with Manager Anthony for taking care of my BLACK car. The place is clean and fully staffed all times. The willingness to help and go extra mile is a big plus. I had the express detail done for $ 30 and $ 25 for small cars. Will be back in a few weeks for synthetic wax once old winter is over with.

DO NOT GO HERE. Been here twice and had a problem both times.
First time I went was in the summer. I took my car through the touchless wash and when I came out the other side I got out to dry off any spots that the dryer may have missed. When I got out, I noticed three giant globs of grease on my car. I went into the office to ask if they had a rag I could use to get it off (I didn’t even complain about it, just asked for a rag) and the owner/​manager came outside with me because he didn’t believe me. This guy argued with me for five minute about how he doesn’t see how it could be from his wash, but in the same breath said he just greased the machine that morning. Guy is shady and thinks he’s a tough guy, and was getting mouthy with me saying he still didn’t think it was his wash. Finally he got someone to clean it off for me without ever even saying sorry.
Not sure why I even went back after that first experience, but after a good amount of snow over the past few weeks, my car was covered in salt and I wanted to get it off. I waited in line for the touchless wash for 20 minutes (not exaggerating). Once I got to the front of the line, the same manager/​owner was there rolling his eyes and making gestures at a woman that didn’t know how to operate the wash system. Once I finally got into the wash, I go to to pull out, and the dryer didn’t take even a drop of water off my car. Nice of him to let a line of cars go through the wash without telling them that the dryer wasn’t working all while he was standing right there. Oh and by the way, it was 20 degrees out that day and my car was covered in soapy ice after. Terrible customer service, shady business ethic. STAY AWAY!

Great and fast service. I went right before lunch. I was really happy with the end result. People were nice there as well since this was my first time coming here. I’d definitely recommend coming here.

This place is awesome!
The staff are all friendly and helpful and they did an amazing job on the inside of my car. You can basically get your car detailed for $ 25! Such a great deal!
I highly recommend this place and will be returning again and again for my car wash needs. It doesn’t matter if you want them to wash your car, you wanna do it, they’ve got any option you want.

I went to Triton yesterday for the first time. I was trying to get my car detailed, and read that this place would do it. I pulled into the lot and all the signs had arrows pointing to lanes for car washes. I didn’t see any signs for detailing. I went into the office and found it to be empty.
So, I got to work myself and cleaned out my car using their self-​serve vacuums. $ 1.50 for 3 – 4 minutes. They had quite a few machines. After I had cleaned out my own car, I left. (Found out later they actually do have detailing, which I would have preferred.)
About 20 minutes later I realized I left my shovel leaning on the side of the curb. I went back for it (as I wouldn’t survive in Southie without it) and it was missing. I went into the office to ask if anyone had seen it. I waited for a few minutes until someone came in. The man who came in asked me if I needed help. As I explained the situation, he had his blackberry glued to his face the entire time. It was obvious he was listening/didn’t care, because I had to repeat myself. He walked outside to ask some of the car wash employees and let the door slam in my face. The man kept typing on his phone throughout my entire 5 minutes with him.
Someone finally found my shovel and was very nice, but jeeze… poor customer service, I’d say.
Who knows? Maybe it’s a great car wash, but I won’t be going back.

I got a coupon for Triton when I first moved up to the area. It was a Coupon for their wash and vacuum that’s usually $ 25 and it was $ 20. So i brought my car in and was amazed at how nice the staff was and how good of a job they do. So since then I’ve been a fan. If you join their club you get $ 2 off of the King Wash so for $ 16 you get a wash with tire shine and your car hand dried. Plus you get a great guarantee 72 hours for a regular wash and 96 hours for a wash package. I won’t use anywhere else.
