Today, I visited the urgent care center instead of seeing my PCP. Since our country’s healthcare status is pretty abysmal, I brought with me tons of reading material as I expected to camp out for a while… Well!!! I was pleasantly surprised! Yes, there were about 10 or so others in the waiting room, but my total time from signing in to picking up my scripts to arriving home(the next town over) was — — -2 hours! I arrived at 10:30 am & was home in bed at 12:30 pm. The office is clean, well organized and moved in a very efficient manor. The attending MD was fantastic as were the Nurses & the administrative personnel. Just a side note: I did not have a critical medical emergency requiring immediate attention, I merely had a URI with acute sinusitis & I was still attended to quickly. I am a CCRN so I feel more than qualified to give an accurate review of this facility… Thank you for enabling me to write such a positive well deserved review.

Everyone who knows me knows I hate doctors so when I couldn’t hear out of my right ear last week, I refused to go see one. Fast forward a few days and two plane rides later, and I had no choice but to succumb. I had just flown into Boston to see my family for the long weekend and really needed to get my ears flushed. My mom recommended this clinic and I checked out Unilocal and agreed. When I got in, I was helped immediately. I was so surprised because it was right at the time kids get out of school and the flu is currently on a war path through Massachusetts. Everyone from the receptionist to the doctor was extremely helpful and friendly. The copay was $ 30 I believe and my insurance covered it. Since Tufts isn’t accepted in Chicago(only has coverage in New England), I was so relieved to hear that it would be covered here. The doctor checked out my ears and said I they needed to be flushed. When I told him I was kind of excited, he looked at me perplexed(I really was excited to be able to hear again). The nurse came in and flushed them with a turkey baster looking instrument and a hydrogen peroxide solution. She was able to clean them out, but I still can’t really hear out of my right ear. I know it’s clogged from my sinus so I didn’t complain. At least they were able to get my pipes squeaky clean. If I ever come down with something again, I will definitely stop by here if I’m in the area. The service is unparalleled for the Boston area.

Not sure how to rate an urgent care center, but it did it’s job. The wait was long, but there were alot of folk and limited staff.

One of the quickest, and pleasant Urgent Care Centers I have ever been to. I came here after feeling awful for a week and couldn’t get an appointment before next week with my PCP. The convenience of it to my house is great and the fact that the entire complex is both comfortable and inviting made it very much worth my trip. This is part of a larger group of doctors and specialists and only a small piece to this large building but the people who work here are great, the whole area is clean and they offer free coffee to patients and family while you wait. Which would have been consumed if I had been there longer but was seen so quickly I did not get to have any. Which in a place like this is fine with me. I was in triage within minutes of arrival and less than an hour after that I was being examined. All the staff who saw me today were nicer than I had expected and very understanding. I was in and out within 2 hours, was able to get a clear diagnosis and gained knowledge of this wonderful facility that before this I had only drove by and really didn’t quite know what they did or who they were. I would now recommend this to anyone in the area who needs care but can’t get an appointment with their PCP in a reasonable amount of time. They also have great hours!
