Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

The CB here in Wilson is great ! The food is good & the portion sizes are generous. We are never disappointed! The server Royce is very attentive & does a great job :)

Recently ate at Cracker Barrel in Wilson, NC. Worst service ever. Restaurant wasn’t busy, but had to wait for drink refills several times. Our waitress was Amanda and she had three stars but she acted like a new worker. Even the table in front of us was complaining.

Typical Cracker Barrel, but the food was below their usual standards and our server, Kristy M, appeared to be less than pleased to see us. She almost smiled when I asked for the check. No offer of drink refills or checking on our food, etc. Chicken and dumplings tasted very bland and the carrots lacked any flavor or sheen. Bread seemed stale. My sons pancakes were ok.
I’d skip this CB and wait for the next one. One thing that you appreciate about the chai is the consistency and this one clearly lacked all of its attributes.

We had breakfast at this location. The service is always reliable, the food is consistent along with friendly staff. You can’t beat the prices, we had a stack of bbkueberr pancakes, regular ppamcake and eggs with bacon and sausage and coffee for the table and everything was $ 24.
Gotta love the food, breakfast or dinner.

We haven’t been to a Cracker Barrel for many years, so getting lunch at this one today was a leap of faith for us. Service was a bit slow, but our meals were adequately prepared and a tolerable value for the price we paid. Improvements in freshness and portion size could definitely be made. Overall, we might try another Cracker Barrel again sometime. Not exactly a glowing recommendation, I know, but all I can manage after today’s lackluster experience.

I have to say, I’ve always love this place and food has been amazing but today the service was also on point. Literally, as food was served, the manager walked by and asked how experience was; server came by multiple times; food came on time. You don’t get price like this place with superb customer service anywhere else. Highly recommend this place.

Delish. The waitress was polite. Food was good. Coffee wasn’t as good as others. Expected has brown to be bigger portion since it was when I ordered eggs, but was at a different Cracker Barrel.

…one might ask — why the fuck am I going to Cracker Barrel? — well Gomer, surprise surprise! the food and service are excellent = the staff are always nice even with a large crowd — of course the décor is interesting and nostalgic — their fireplace in the winter season makes for a great atmosphere — highly recommended.

Food is always great. Tracy our server was exceptional. Great customer service, witty and polite. I would go back just to see her!!!

I love Cracker Barrel! From the rocking chairs out front, to the peg game on the table. Doesn’t matter which one I go to, I fall in love all over again. Every. Single. Time. And this one was no different.
We stopped here for breakfast on our way back up the road to Maryland. The waitress was amazing and so incredibly sweet!
I ordered my usual Momma’s French Toast breakfast. That’s my favorite! I recommend!

Poor service waited for hours asked for ketchup 3 times never got it and I received a very small quantity of food you can get more on the McDonald’s dollar menu.

I’m usually not a chain restaurant kind of person but this southern food staple is good. At this particular location the service was amazing!

We stopped here on the way to the beach mainly to look for travel car games for our 4 year old. We found a couple of «maze» books, but that was about it. We also ate lunch here. I’ve been here for breakfast before, but never for lunch. I got a veggie plate: mac and cheese, slaw, mashed potatoes without gravy, and fried okra. The mac and cheese was the best part. Mine also came with a biscuit, which was good. I emailed CB a while back to see what I could eat there that was vegetarian, and I *think* I got the right stuff (didn’t have my list with me). Not sure if the okra or biscuit was on the list. My husband got the same as me, except he got a house salad. This comes with bacon on it, as we later found out. The server exchanged it for him with no problems. The food was ok. This place is good in a pinch.

There are so many choices, breakfast and dinner. Everything’s delicious. I have yet to have a bad or average CB experience.
The southern comfort service can’t be beat and the store front always have cool things to check out.

We come here quite often because they have a low carb menu and the quality of the food is consistently high. I have never had to send anything back because it wasn’t right. The menu is nothing far out, just good home style fare with sensible portions for the most part. The breakfast menu can get a little heavy if you try and eat all the biscuits and gravy that comes with everything, so some control by the diner is required. While I’m talking about breakfast, the only item on the menu I’m not wild about is the sawmill gravy. It has a very smokey flavor. I would prefer a good homemade sausage gravy. Everything on the low carb menu is great and I would suggest these items to anyone who is looking for healthy, sensibly sized portions. On the regular menu, I think my favorite is the meat loaf, just like mother used to make. The lobby is a gift shop with lots of cool, reasonably priced items, including a wide variety of nostalgia items dating back to the 50’s, including Blackjack and Teaberry gum. By all means, keep the wife moving swiftly through this area, or you will leave with more than you had when you came in. Definitely a good place to stop for a meal when on a trip!
