We had lunch here and later stopped in for their huckleberry milkshake. The food was good, the staff friendly and prices reasonable for the area. It appeared to be a place where locals patronize for the socialization as well as the food.

The Mercantile Grill serves fatty, greasy burgers that are overpriced for what they are, especially considering the grimy ambiance. The place feels like an old-​time saloon, which is great – but don’t price your items like it’s a upscale gastropub.
Perhaps the worst thing about this place is the extremely inattentive and unfriendly bartender. She was snooty and unhelpful upon our first order and then disappeared for a long time so we weren’t able to re-​order.
We’ll most likely be looking for a new place to stop when we come over the pass into Wyoming. Sorry, Mercantile!

My new favorite place to bike to in Wilson!!! So much fun ! Friendly people, great authentic western atmosphere with the best ice cream and service!!! You feel like a local when you go in!
