History

Established in 2013.

After years of searching through thrift stores and women’s consignment shops for high end men’s fashion, we decided to take the frustration out of the process by offering men the option to turn their great designer clothing and accessories into cash. We’ve all gotten a gift that really wasn’t for us or purchased a great pair of shoes only to find they really weren’t as comfortable as they looked. Some Men Like It Haute offers you an option for getting a return on your fashion and accessory investment by showcasing your items in a beautiful storefront on Wilton Drive in the heart of Wilton Manors.

This was probably my favorite consignment shop in South Florida. Especially since I’ve never seen an entire consignment shop of men’s clothing before.
Huge positives: The taste level was right on target, which considering what I found at the women’s stores, is saying quite a bit. The honey tried on a few items, and ended up buying a brand new pair of Ralph Lauren shorts for something like $ 25. He wore them at least 3 times before we left Florida.
I also loved the size range. A good mix of small with some XXL’s thrown in for the big guys. They even had a ton of accessories, which I loved, but isn’t so much the hun’s cup of tea, so we stuck with the shorts and the friendly service and headed out.
I’d love to come back, this was my kinda store!

This shop is one of the best finds in the Fort Lauderdale area. Not only is there a broad spectrum of really hip clothing but there are also such unique one-​of-​a kind items (both clothes AND cool accessories) … I was amazed at the reasonable prices as well. Thank you Pete and Doug for a great shopping experience — you were both so helpful and friendly.

I have visited this store several times since it’s opening two years ago. The merchandise is constantly changing and being kept fresh as well as the displays and the great front window which faces Wilton Drive.
I’ve picked up some great deals including a $ 230 (new price) pair of Clarks shoes for a mere $ 32. They were in brand-​new condition. I’ve also picked up some designer T-​shirts, dress shirts, and several pairs of slacks all in excellent condition. There is an extensive collection of cufflinks, quality designer socks and even some jewelry. In addition to purchasing items, I have also consign several pieces of clothing with them. True to their policy they notified me immediately upon its sale and sent a check for my portion without any delay.
I can’t say enough about the staff. The staff is just outstanding. The Manager, Peter, is friendly, professional and is very well-​versed in men’s fashion. If something doesn’t look good when you try it on they let you know. There not just looking to make a sale, they truly care if it looks good on you.
I highly recommend this store to any man no matter what the age. There’s a wide variety of high quality clothing at reasonable prices for both young and older men.

When it comes to buying some good looking second hand clothing, used gay threads are generally better looking and more stylish than first hand new out of the box straight threads. This is not to knock straights. After all, gays owe it all to the straights for having gay babies. But when it comes to fashion and style, it’s generally acknowledged to be an area in which gays excel. Like really girls, who do think it was that designed your wedding gown? But good clothing is good clothing and can make any man, gay or straight, look his best.
Some Like It Haute not only has a catchy name to it but also some really eye catching items of what are first line, no tattered disheveled looking rags allowed, clothing either for sale belonging to the establishment or that have been consigned to them to sell; either new or lightly used. Its really a great concept and best of all dedicated to first of the line fine clothing which will save endless hours searching through those piles and racks at an Out of the Closet, Poverello or taking a chance with the likes of shopping on eBay in hopes of finding a clothing treasure.
Then, of course, best of all are the prices! Here you can get the best in designer clothing and look your best without severely reducing the thickness of your wallet and if you already happen to have some really great designer type item in your closet that you have outgrown or haven’t worn in years, you can even thicken your wallet by consigning it.
