First time and last time. No access to water at all like they make it out to be. Had to drive to river and had to drive to lake. Cabins. The location appears to be on a trailer park next to a dry creek. Had a family member stay across cabins from us. Their college like refrigerator kept leaking into the living room. Not to mention the toilet did to. Rather pay more for better cabins and location or not go at all.

The place is gross. Directions to it are poor. You are greeted by a long line of overfilled garbage cans with accompanying smells and flies. There is little to no space between RV spaces. The place is strewn with dilapidated cabins. Our space was on the side of a hill. The«official» dump station was on the wrong side of the trailer. I guess they expect you to dump on the way in. Bugs were PLENTIFUL. I was told they do NOTHING to prevent them from vacationing along with the paying guests. Btw, they say ON the Guadeloupe. There was a dry creek bed they claim was it. Well, with 3 days of rain, there was still no water in it. Don’t waste your time off at this place!

This place is pretty typical for what you’d expect at the price you’re paying. They’re very accomodating though. We ended up getting 5 cabins and they grouped us all together. Some cabins slept 4(double bed with a pull out couch) and another cabin slept 8(1 double bed, 2 pull out couches, and a couple twin mattresses in the attic). All rooms come with a stove, refrigerator, sink, table, & bathroom. They do provide some plates, cups, pots/pans, and utensils. Be prepared to bring towels, sheets, blankets, pillows, and sandals for the shower(yuck). And obviously all toiletries. Each cabin had a place to grill. There’s a playground area nearby for the kiddos. Laundry services on site. It is NOT located on the lake, so don’t be confused. Just a short drive away though. Bring something to keep the flies away.

Accommodations suited our short camping trip needs. We rented 4 smaller cabins and 1 larger one. Smaller cabins had a queen size bed and a pull out couch. No bedding but each had 4 pillows. Large cabin had 1 room with queen bed, 2 pullouts, and 3 twins beds up in the attic looking place. Large cabin had stove and large fridge, smaller cabins had mircrowave and mini fridge. Rooms were nice and cool upon arrival. Got chilly at night with no blankets. Bathrooms were small and a little sketchy but you are camping, what do you expect. There is a small playground and bouncy house for the kids. Firewood for sale on site. Also, a laundry room. Yes, lots of bugs but it’s camping. Not at all bad for the price.

This place deserves«0» stars. We recently rented the Lodge at this campground. The Lodge is a 2-bedroom with a bath and a half that sleeps 12. The owner and/or manager, Rick, was very difficult to work with while booking this house. He was difficult to get a hold of and when we began to try and negotiate for a better rate than what he stated, he became very rude and would not return my phone calls. We were able to negotiate a better rate, but once we arrived and saw the house, it should have been free. The house is old and rundown, inside and out. The kitchen has outdated appliances as well at plywood in lieu of cabinets. Linens and towels are not provided. The bathrooms are small and there is only one shower. Beyond all the cosmetic issues, the biggest complaint was ROACHES! And not just one –LOTS! As in, one ran across my dinner plate. We were there for a family function and all the food had to be put away because they were so bad. They were in every room. I went and told the lady on duty and she said, «we are in Texas and we have roaches. Put some hot sauce and water in a spray bottle and spray all the counters.» Obviously, I do not travel with these items, nor do I feel it was my responsibility. They DONOT exterminate! The place is not kept up with. It was disgusting! Do not stay here. Get on a vacation rental site and rent a house elsewhere. There are many other choices in the area. In addition, he advertises being on the river, what he doesn’t tell you is he is on the part of the river that is all dried up.
