Unfortunately, Ray’s has gone out of business. This was a great shop, with great product and service — just didn’t make it as a high-​end seller of a perceived «luxury» product in a small town during a recession…

I didn’t know that beef without hormones, free-​range and organic tasted different than other beef. Ray converted me. I can no longer stand the taste or texture of low-​quality meat. I know everything I bring home from Ray’s will wow my guests. Plus, they are so kind about finding me weird cuts. If I watch a cooking show and want to cook pressed pork belly, all I have to do is call. They trimmed me out a beautiful crown roast for Christmas last year. They are always polite and helpful. I love having a wonderful local butcher.
