Specialties
The owners’ vision is to have the tavern rooted deeply in the Winchester community just like its namesake, the original Black Horse Tavern built in 1724. Historically located on the corner of Black Horse Terrace and Main Street, the tavern was demolished in 1892. It was an important meeting spot for soldiers during the Revolution as well as a place for townspeople to gather.
The new Black Horse Tavern pays homage to the original with a comfortable, welcoming décor and a fantastic menu. Consisting of traditional tavern food and specialty dishes, the Black Horse Tavern is a great place to enjoy a sports game at the bar, a special dinner out, or an easy and fun family dining experience.
