History

Established in 2013.

Entrepreneur Marilyn Finnemore envisioned a performing arts center that would foster creativity, community, and a musical culture in beautiful downtown Winchester. In 2004, she purchased the building that is now home to Bright Box, and has been active in revitalizing Old Town Winchester as a member of the Old Town Winchester Development board since that same year.

Bright Box opened in May 2013, coinciding with the completion of Old Town Winchester’s beautification process.
