Specialties

Socializing, painting, singing, acting, learning a-b-c’s and 1−2 – 3’s, learning the sounds letters make, math, discussions, themes, writing, snack time, and reading books are some of the things a child at French Valley K-Prep experience. CALL OUR # 951−926−6114 (not the number listed above, which is Yelp’s tracking number). We’re licensed (Lic. # 333 840 885) as a family childcare home. We teach preschool & Pre-K and care for the children (ages 3 – 5) during specific sessions; We’re part-time, not full-time. We cater to stay at home moms. Our website has the most current information regarding cost and class times. We fill up quickly (by the end of one school year for the following school year). Our program is a phonics and theme based program. We talk about and read books on a new theme each week. The first letter of the theme also matches the letter sound (phonic) of the week. We use a lot of hands on tools, we get up and move, sing, act silly, and socialize. The children learn from each other, from the teacher, and from exploring the many fun activities provided for them. We start enrolling for the next school year around the 1st week of March and fill up by June.

History

Established in 2011.

I’m a stay at home mother to three beautiful children. My middle child was the first student in my program. It all started as a free Mommy and Me preschool and grew into a thriving business teaching 24 other preschoolers each year.

Besides my experience raising my three children, I substitute taught for three and a half years, taught 4th grade for two years, ran a Mommy and Me preschool for a year, and started teaching at French Valley K-Prep in August of 2011. I fell in love with teaching preschoolers, so I started French Valley K-Prep. I love this job, the children, and the families!

I have my bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts — performance and I earned my California Elementary Teaching credential. My credential program taught me and allowed me to teach preschool through adult education. It’s expired and I don’t plan on going back to teaching elementary; I love my job teaching preschoolers.

Business Owner

I grew up in San Diego. I met my husband in Australia while doing an exchange program through my University. We’ve been married now for 14 years. My husband is a teacher and helped me get started as a substitute teacher. I subbed for 3 ½ years. I stopped subbing a month before my first child was born and also so I could finish my credential program. I taught fourth grade for two years and was a stay-at home-mom off and on for six years. I have three kids. I adore children. My third child is in her preschool years. Children at this age are so full of curiosity and want to explore. My inner child comes out when I get to play with, observe, and love these children.
