History

Established in 2011.

Jabberwock Reptiles was founded in 2011 by Stephen Ayer to bring quality cold blooded pets and pet knowledge to the Boston area. With help from family and friends, Stephen opened Jabberwock Reptiles in October 2011 and it has grown steadily since then. Today Jabberwock Reptiles employees a small staff and serves hundreds of regular customers.

Business Owner

Stephen received a Doctorate in Biology from the University of Rochester in 1992. Always a lover of nature he began keeping a breeding gecko species, particularly leopard geckos. This passion grew into a desire to share the wonderful hobby of herpataculture with others. Finding a need for a reptile-​specialty pet store in the immediate Boston area, he along with his wife and children, founded Jabberwock Reptiles in 2011.
