Save the Animals Today is a Non Profit horse and farm animal rescue.

History

Established in 2007.

In 2007, 23 horses were abandoned and surrendered to the State of California. The state does not adopt out horses like it does dogs and cats and the horses were going to be euthanized. No one wanted that to happen so Pattie Roberts took them in. In 2011 Save the Animals Today applied to become a 501©3 non profit horse rescue. We now are home to over 40 abandoned and unwanted horses and other farm animals. We are totally supported by donations, sponsors and volunteers.

Being a horse rescue was never in my business plan! After years with the local radio station KFROG and then forming my own advertising agency to assist local non profits team up with for profit business’ ZAP I became a non profit horse rescue! I was awarded the Murrieta Chamber 2011 Citizen of the Year and have been nominated for the 2012 Non Profit of the Year. Here at Save the Animals Today we say: Saving animals life’s changes people’s lives!
