The Larry Williams Band is a 9 piece band performing music from 8 decades for multiple generations. We customize our performances for special events, weddings, private parties, corporate events and night clubs. Larry’s musicians are all highly skilled professionals who combine their formal musical training with street knowledge producing a high energy band capable of keeping you on the dance floor all night! Additionally, Larry takes the time to know his clients and their musical needs. The band rehearses regularly and prepares for each special performance by constantly updating its repertoire.

From the early arrival and set-​up, to the final note and load out, The Larry Williams Band sets the bar of professionalism quite high. Taking directly from the blueprint of The Tony Boffa Band, Larry continues onward with Tony’s tradition of providing live musical entertainment for multiple generations of audiences along with service second to none!

History

Established in 2012.

Larry Williams has been performing with The Tony Boffa Band for over 15 years. As Tony transitions away from leading his 9 piece band, he has been supporting Larry as he develops his new band to provide the same high standard of performance that Tony’s clients have come to expect. The Larry Williams Band has performed for many high profile fundraisers. Within the past year band has performed for The Ronald McDonald House, Eastern Maine Medical Center’s Beach Ball, Maine Coast Memorial’s Chef’s Gala and North Yarmouth Academy’s Soirée. This in addition to performing at fine night clubs, dance halls and public concerts.

Business Owner

Larry Williams has been performing jazz and pop music for over 30 years. In addition to leading his own band, He appears regularly with The Tony Boffa Band (until the end of 2013) and The Portland Jazz Orchestra.

Larry received both is Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music from The University Of Southern Maine. He has performed and recorded with many local and nationally recognized artists. Larry also teaches music full time in Poland, Maine.
