We are a bed and breakfast inn with 5 rooms, all providing modern amenities in a Victorian setting. All of our rooms have ensuite bathrooms and all have cable televisions, free WiFi, coffee machines, come with a fabulous three course breakfast each morning, and wine upon arrival, and have access to our 24 hour guest service area with coffee, tea and snacks. We have a suite with a king size bed, television sitting room, whirlpool tub and separate shower; a room with a king size bed and spa shower; a room with a queen size bed and tub/​shower combination; a downstairs, wheelchair accessible suite with a double bed, a television sitting room and a spa shower and clawfoot tub; and a room with two single antique sleigh beds. Our downstairs room is pet friendly.

We also have all ABC licenses and have a large dining room for functions with seating for 10 to 50: weddings, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, holiday celebrations. And we do outside catering for functions from 10 to 150.

History

Established in 1989.

The Inn was built in 1790 and has had various owners over its nearly 250 years. It became a bed and breakfast in 1989. I bought the Inn in 2006.

Business Owner

I bought the Inn in 2006 and have enjoyed welcoming guests over the past 8 years. I do all the cooking and menu planning and most of the cleaning. I am joined in running the business by Jock Scarsborough, who is the general manager, bartender, and gardener.
