I had a number of things to buy but when I asked where a piece of hardware was the associate I spoke to, Aaron, told me he couldn’t help me right now and I would have to ask someone else. And then he walked off and kept looking over his shoulder to see if I was still standing there. For a 50 – 60 year old guy, you would think he would have better customer skills. It doesn’t help when the associate reeks like cigarette smoke either. Really professional…

John in the paint department was so helpful in helping us with the materials we needed for the project our preschool students are doing. If ever you need paint and or paint supplies don’t hesitate to get what you need at Home Depot in Windsor. Thanks again John, your help was very much appreciated.

Came here to pick out a few succulents. There was a great variety of options and not to mention the customer service was awesome. We then waited in line longer than expected to find out that the bar code on our succulents was inactive. We waited for a good 10 minutes so the clerk gave us a customer service discount! As we walked out they were serving popcorn which hit the spot. Overall amazing experience even though we waited longer than expected.

Pretty good Home Depot :-) friendly people, decent selection. Not sure what else to say. But it seems well run.

Bought a grill from this home depot and used one of their trucks to bring it home.
When I got home and started to assemble I found it was missing a part. Frustrated, I called the store and spoke with Travis.
Travis found the part in another unit and had someone drive it over to my house.
Can’t ask for better service.

One of my favorite shops in the area. The staff here is super friendly and if you ever need to return anything, they are pretty cool about it. I really enjoy my local HD and when I travel to other HD outside of my area, I am so glad this is the one I can call «my HD».

5 stars for the employee Mike in the garden department. He is EXTREMELY knowledgeable. He is very personable. He makes sure you have every one of your questions answered until he moves on to the next customer.
Store in general has a good layout. The other employees are helpful.

I was helped by Lisa in the tool rental department. She was the best! I needed help with getting everything I needed to insulate my walls at home. She helped me get everything I needed, not only that she fixed a mistake someone else made on my order. This was all done before I could call her to fix it. This honestly was the best experience I have at going to Home Depot!

This is the best operated Home Depot store I have ever shopped in. The employees have been fantastic. We recently purchased a home in Windsor, and initially were visiting the Home Depot in Santa Rosa as well as Lowes in Rohnert Park. There is absolutely NO comparing these stores. Windsor Home Depot is doing something right. I have been in multiple times, purchased thousands of dollars worth of items, and have yet to encounter an employee that didn’t seem to care about helping. VERY impressive — especially in today’s retail world. We had an issue with a refrigerator purchase there, but they took care of it. Going there again this evening to spend more money..

Great experience every time I shop here! It seems like everyone who works here loves their job! This past weekend they were BBQing hot dogs for customers and had so many activities going on for the kids… just an example of great customer service and making shopping fun!
Their facitlity is also very nice and easy to navigate. This is my go to for home improvement needs!

My spouse and I purchased a GE Café French Door Refrigerator. We went in, knowing what we wanted, made our purchase, and scheduled our delivery — no problems. Delivered was scheduled for the following week, and the refrigerator was delivered on Wednesday without a glitch. So far, so good!
The following day, I get a text while at work from my spouse that 2 of the 3 buttons for water and cubed ice were broken. A service call was made, but Home Depot doesn’t make repairs, they outsource their service calls to Asien’s Appliance in Santa Rosa. So, I get home later that evening and notice a funny sound coming from the refrigerator, the fan is making noise and it’s not a sound that can be fixed simply by leveling the refrigerator. Another service call is made and we’re told to wait for a call from Asien’s.
Saturday comes around, no call from Asien’s Appliance for either service call. We visit the Home Depot Customer Service department to explain our problem. At this point, I just want a return and refund, but we’re met with a lot of resistance. They ask if they can 1) Make a repair, 2) Exchange for new unit, or 3) Exchange for a different unit. I explain that we haven’t heard back from Asien’s Appliance. I then proceed to pull out my iPhone and play a video clip of the loud fan noise coming from the unit. After half an hour, they agree to the refund, and said that we will get a call from the manager to arrange for a return and refund.
Monday comes around, no word from either Asien’s Appliance or Home Depot. At this point, I’m pissed, because the noise is loud, some parts don’t work, and we just paid $ 3,000 for a piece of junk. I wait until 11 am, and return to the Home Depot Customer Service department. I start from square one and explain what I’m going through. The service rep said, «No problem. Just return the refrigerator, and we’ll issue you a refund.» Really? The unit weighs 388 pounds and I have no way of safely transporting the darn thing. Once again, I pull out my iPhone and play my video. I finally said that I wasn’t going to leave without a clear answer about fixing this problem. After a half-​dozen calls, I was told that I would be called by the end of the day. Fine.
As I was driving home, I get a call from my spouse telling me to get home ASAP. Home Depot would be there in the next 30 minutes to pick up the refrigerator. Sure enough, they showed up as promised. So, while Home Depot did pick up the unit and issued a refund, it took a lot of persistence and effort on my part. The only reason I’m giving this review 2 stars is because the guys picking up the refrigerator were really nice, and they sincerely wanted to fix the situation.
Last but not least, two weeks after the refrigerator was picked up, we finally get a call from Asien’s Appliance asking to schedule a repair. Our experience was a total fail. I would also avoid Asien’s Appliance, just based on the fact that it took them so long to initiate communication for a service repair that was supposed to be covered under warranty.

Scott in the millworks dept. was a great help. He was friendly, patient and very helpful. My only gripe is that the 2 times I was having items picked up in the wil call, they briefly lost track of everything.

Perhaps Unilocal is not the place to air grievances, but I have tried everything else, and have yet to have an issue resolved. An order of hardwood flooring was placed by my parents right around Christmas time (their gift to us!). It was to be delivered Jan 3. Our living room was gutted Christmas eve in prep for this flooring to be installed. After multiple «delays», (which were never explained), the flooring was delivered to the store on Jan 23. I contacted the shipper to be sure. Husband goes down to pick it up, and IT CANNOT BE LOCATED!!! He spends two hours there, and no one can tell him where it is, when they might find it, or what the next step is. I call the next day, and the (initially) friendly «Manager» assures me she will get to the bottom of the situation. multiple hours later, she calls me, very irritated, and says it is not there. She doesn’t know where it is, nor what else she can do. Uh, what!!! So we’ve paid for flooring and installation, and it’s nowhere? And you aren’t going to tell me what to do next? I politely ask for the General Manager’s name and number, his work hours (which she doesn’t know), as well as the receiving manager’s information. At least she knows the guy’s name… If the GM cannot help me, I will have to take it to the regional level? I suppose I could ask for a refund, then wait another month to get it somewhere else? I’ve never been a super happy customer there, unless you need something brainfree like tape or a hammer. My family worked in/​around the construction industry for years while I was growing up – this is no way to encourage customers to come back. Lower prices be damned. Please consider shopping at another competing business for your home improvement needs!

The nursery department is run by teenagers, who don’t know how to find items.
Where is the manager?
Why not get them some training, and have an in-​charge person ALWAYS on the floor in the nursery?

This review, unfortunately, applies to Home Depot corporate, not necessarily this store. However, the merchandise in question was purchased at this store. I have posted my comments on the HD Facebook page but they keep taking down my posts without actually doing anything.
A water heater was purchased here in 2006 and the buyer also purchased an «extended warranty», meaning the unit was under warranty until 2015. In February of this year, I bought the house where the water heater was installed and, two weeks after I took possession of the house, the water heater failed. Since the previous owner had been so meticulous about keeping the documentation I knew exactly what number to call for warranty service. After 2 days of no response from the people who were supposed to come fix the water heater, I replaced the water heater at my expense.
For the last month I have posted the detailed sordid history of this HD scam and have gotten assurances from the HD «customer care» department in Georgia that they were «looking into it» and «someone would call». It has now been 4 weeks since the water heater died. Fortunately, I could afford to go buy a new heater. If I could not afford that, I would have been without hot water all this time, hassling with Home Depot’s repair contractor.
Lesson learned (which I already knew): HD’s «extended warranty» is not worth the paper it’s printed on. Don’t be fooled into wasting your money.

Huge pain in the butt getting all my doors in a timely fashion – still have one on backorder

I know this is just a Home Depot and most people are likely not to review it but I’m up there all the time and I have to say that the staff is as friendly as I’ve encountered in a long time and it’s a dog-​friendly place, always a big deal for me. Took our pup in, went all around and got what we needed and everyone seemed to have a great time. Nice for a big store to be nice and very helpful so consistently.

My boyfriend loves this place, if I buy him a $ 20+ gift card he is so happy. I do not understand guys and their tools but apparently this is the place to shop.
