I work in Wheaton, and very close to downtown Winfield. I’m not a fan of driving all the way to downtown Wheaton plus having to find parking, so Winfield is a great lunch time spot. Someone recommended their salads here, so I finally made it in, after almost a year. My co worker and I stopped in last week for lunch before the noon hour(11:30-ish). We had no problem finding parking in the back, and plenty of seating, even when we left, this place wasn’t jammed packed for the lunchtime rush. The service was great, our waitress had our water refills constant, and we enjoyed the food too. The food is decent and the prices are reasonable. They also have daily specials. I’m on a low carb diet but I did eyeball a caprese salad and added steak to it, it was a decent size and filling. I was pleased coming here and look forward to visiting again sometime for lunch.

Delicious. Delivered right to hospital. The food was fantastic, even got all the condiments. Even got great bread with it. Steak medallions were cooked perfect and enjoyed every minute of the meal. Will be visiting this restaurant often, now that ive tried em.

This place is OK. Nothing special at all. The reason I’m giving it such a low rating is because they are way over priced. Ordered the tri cheese panini when it was a daily lunch special for 6 bucks instead of the regular 8 bucks. When I decided to add bacon they said they can’t do the special so they charged the regular 8 bucks plus added 2 bucks for bacon. So the grilled cheese was 10 bucks!!! Soup and sandwiches were mediocre at best. Probably won’t come back

Only go there if you want delicious ribs that fall right off the bone! Mashed potatoes were amazing and service was even better! Thank you to our server Tim aka«Dominic». Everything was great and we’re all happy that we made the drive! We shall return again! Thank you!

Caliendo’s is at most an ok spot. I feel bad for people that come here and say, «The food is amazing!» Really? Have you lived in a 5 mile radius your whole life? Let me guess, «Pal Joeys“is your favorite pizza place. lol. The food here is bar food, nothing special. Decent pizza, nothing special. The chips were poor quality, similar to a generic tostitos brand. I’m sure this is a happening place in Winfield, but if you’ve ever been to Chicago, Naperville or St. Charles… you might be disappointed. Small town hangout more for the locals.

Stopped in here while picking food across the street. Friendly staff food looked really good reasonably priced drinks. A lot of Tvs to watch the games. The bartenders are attentive and nice. I came on a Monday night admittingly slow but it’s a Monday in the burbs. I have been here 5 – 6 times always friendly people.

The apple brie bacon burger is out of this world good! FULL of flavor and crispy bun that makes it perfect! Melted in my mouth! Their bread they bring to the table is delish! Their pizza is good! Cheesecake is great!!!

I’ve been a reoccurring customer here for about a year now especially on Saturdays but, my wife and I tried it on Sunday while ordering burgers. I got too say they were delicious and very well seasoned and all there food fresh and what made it better was the great service.

Went here for lunch. Went to the carryout side because I saw their sign that said«Pizza Slices». Once I got inside and took a look at their menu I wanted to try everything! I ended up going with«The Godfather», a warm pressed sandwich with layers of capicola, salami and mortadella with provolone on focaccia bread. It was soooo good! It was more than I expected. The meat was piled on, the cheese was gooey and the bread was warm and soft. It came with a hefty side of homemade potato chips. For a quick lunch. It was more than enough and definitely satisfying. I’ll definitely be back!

First time last night for dinner, ordered nachos with shrimp it was good but I think chicken would have been better, pizza had too much sauce, Italian beef was really good this would have been a great dinner if the waiter was a bit more attentive and threw in a smile here and there.

Almost flawless My husband and I stopped in Saturday night for the St. Patty’s day special(Corned Beef and Cabbage) and to check out the place for a future gathering of friends and family. We were not disappointed! The server was pleasant and for the most part always around and refilling our soft drink and coffee. He kept tabs on our appetizer time and checked in with us. My only two critiques of the server was that he did not ask if we needed anything when the food was delivered and a few times my coffee cup was empty for a period of time before I flagged him down for a refill. He was better at refilling my husbands water and soft drink. The Corned Beef and Cabbage was a massive platter. The corned beef was delicious. You didn’t need a knife to cut it. The potatoes, carrots and cabbage were good. The side salad before the meal would have been better if it were served on a rimmed place or less lettuce. My salad was falling off the plate. Additionally, the salad would be better if the lettuce were romain or mixed/I had the blue cheese dressing, however it’s taste was lost on the iceburg lettuce. My husband ordered a pizza and it was delicious. Another server even whispered in my husbands ear that all pizza’s were ½ half off on Sunday evening. Go to Know. We were offered dessert, but we were plenty full. Thanks, we’ll be back!

I would never eat their food or pizza. They use to have very good pizza but not now. Whatever happened that customers are always right? Unless you only want cheese, don’t order from them. Horrible service and food.

Caliendo’s is a nice little restaurant in tiny downtown Winfield. I’ve been here twice recently — it’s close enough to DuPage Animal Control that it’s easy for volunteer meetups. Both times I’ve ordered only appetizers, but the service is AWESOME and the food I have tried is really delicious. This past time I got the spinach and artichoke dip and the homemade chips with bleu cheese dressing. The artichoke dip was standard but very delicious, and the toasts that accompanied it were perfect. The homemade chips with bleu cheese were OUT. STA. NDING. Everyone at my table wanted a sampling when they arrived and we all obsessed over how delicious they were. Just typing this now, I want them again. And they were like $ 6 for an ENORMOUS portion. So worth it. I like their patio as well — roomy and fenced in, allowing you to be removed from the foot traffic of the sidewalk and actually enjoy your conversation/dinner mates. I’ll be back soon to enjoy those delicious chips.

All I can give this place is 3 stars. It’s OKAY, but truly doesn’t live up to the hype it seems to get from others. — Pizza is just OKAY. Sorry, it is not that great. Try Garibaldi’s in Hoffmann Estates for that. — Various other food items I have had = JUSTOKAY. — Burgers — JUSTOKAY. Fries were decent as I remember. — Nachos — literally small Tostito chips out of the bag and basic Gehl’s cheese sauce(which is near tasteless). You could make better at home with the cheap ingredients from your grocery store. Across the street at John’s restaurant, they have about the best nachos I have had. Complete night and day from what you get here. Haven’t been here in awhile and I am in no rush to go back. The place is just OKAY — it is really just another run-of-the-mill sports type restaurant and bar. Years ago, it used to be kiddie-corner across the street and was known as the Winfield House, which had a much different atmosphere than a trendy sports-bar. Winfield House closed/moved and became Caliendo’s around 2004-ish. I highly recommend John’s Restaurant across the street if you truly want some great food.

Caliendo’s was a hit in my book! We were in the area on a Friday for lunch and wanted a quick bite. We don’t spend much time in Winfield, but this is right on the beaten path and it was next to a bakery we wanted to try, so it was an easy choice to make. The service was really good. We had attention from the owner more than once during the visit. We had no trouble getting our glasses refilled promptly and the food was served hot. The calamari was nice. I enjoyed that it was freshly battered and the accompanying marinara sauce was tasty. Mom and I split an Italian beef sandwich and fries and a chicken Parmesan sandwich. They even split it for us, so that was a plus. The food was really good. Fresh cut fries. We wanted to try a few things so this was a good way to go about doing so. The restaurant was clean. The food was good. The service was pleasant. We will absolutely be back again!

Legit beef sandwich with the exception it comes with provolone on focaccia bread! Good a amount of fries all for $ 5(lunch special 1 – 4 pm). Knocks the doors off subway that’s for sure. ;) A bunch of good olé boys sitting around drinking tall boy Pbr’s talking about pawn stars on the tv. Like I said. Legit.
