I don’t typically comment on rest areas, but I when I do, they are in they middle of no where. Clean, safe, plenty of places to park, walk your pet and picnic.

Clean, family rest room, good viewing areas.
Caretakers on site. Picnic tables & shelters.
Truck & car parking. Truck parking more than adequate. Large truck spaces.

Nice enough rest area in the middle of nowhere, somewhere between Winslow and Flagstaff but really close to the Meteor Crater. Clean bathroom but zero shade. Nice with the rocks (try not to have your kids climbing on them) and easy to get back onto the highway with a really long accelleration ramp.
