Revolution Gliding Tours

My husband got the art tour as a gift. I was so glad he did. Joey is the best teacher and guide. I was nervous at first since I have never ridden a Segway, but he showed me how to use it and was fun. He was patient and helpful. The tour was interesting. I learned a lot about the arts in Winston. Joey is a thoughtful guide and had a bottle of water waiting for us and offered sunscreen. When we were finished we enjoyed drinks and truffles at Twin City Hive. It was a nice way to end the tour. I would recommend the tour to visitors and locals. As a local I was able to learn new things about my city because Joey is so passionate about Winston Salem.

We had the best day exploring old and downtown Winston Salem on this tour. Joey is an expert Segway instructor and guide, keeping our entire group entertained. The coffee and truffles were a really nice touch at the end of the tour, too. We would absolutely take any tour Joey offers in future. Definite must whether you’re a local looking for something fun to do to learn about the city or a visitor near the Winston Salem area.

My wife and I took our college aged kids (home for spring break) and it was an awesome time. We learned, we saw, we heard, we smelled, we felt, we played (the learning was on all levels). Great day all around. Our guide made us feel comfortable with the instructions … he didn’t make it too simple that we would feel like idiots if we had a difficult time … it was very easy to learn and enjoy. He made us think we were advanced learners (even if we had the same ability as every other rider before us). I enjoyed learning some more facts about Winston-​Salem that I didn’t know before and found some new spots for dinner. I have a new appreciation for one of the cities where I grew up. I had spent so many years driving THROUGH places to get where I was going and then coming back. I missed all the little things. This helped me slow down and take it all back in.

This was a fantastic thing to do on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Joey was our tour guide and had lots of good info on Downtown… both things coming, going, or changing. The tour went through Old Salem for a short bit, then on to downtown. Never was there a time I felt bored. After we got into downtown the Segway became a lot more fun and he certainly gave us some play-​time on them. I would recommend this to anyone. Winston Salem Resident or not. I have lived here most of my life and still learned quite a bit!

Fantastic Segway tour and one of the best sightseeing and historical tours of downtown. Beautiful tour by Old Salem and Salem College, and a surprise gelato treat over at Caffe Prada! I had a blast & can’t wait to do it again! Once I became comfortable with riding a Segway, I didn’t want to get off!
