I went in for a puppy shot this morning. Called ahead of time regarding «office visit fee» and Kim told me there won’t be any office visit fee for the routine shot if my puppy has been seen by the vet within 6 months. (Which was the case. My puppy has been seen by the vet at this hospital 2 months ago for her first wellness exam after I got her). They charged me for puppy exam fee anyways. When I asked her about it after I got the bill, she said its every time to make sure the puppy is ok. I didn’t express any concerns about my puppy and that was not what I was told during our phone conversation. Also, I went in for one routine shot and they performed and charged me for deworming. Fecal test. Office visit. Etc. after all, I walked out with a bill that was over $ 100.
Also, I gave the hospital medical record of my puppy 3 times. (Her first visit. When I boarded her. And Even gave them the phone number of the hospital she previously was seen by so they can obtain the record that way. But they asked for it again today anyways! I don’t know how they organize their patient’s chart but it is very unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend this hospital for their unprofessionalism and their staffs not knowing what is going on with their establishment.

I have been using this vet since moving to Winston 4 years ago for my two dogs. One thing that always bothered me was that they took the dog away from the exam room for shots or checkups instead of the vet coming in the room. I could deal with that but today I called for my dog to get a rabies shot and they now charge an additional $ 45 exam fee even though my dog is perfectly healthy. There are many vets that offer vaccines without a physical exam so I am leaving this vet. They will lose more than they gain through this change.

This used to be a great vet! Since being bought out by VCA it is no longer about your pet but upselling and pushing care plans and insurance. My annual pet bill was over 600.00! My dog is a four pound chorkie that is only a year old. I could not afford to shell out 600.000 right then and there. So, I was told to take this Care Club plan. I was told it would transfer and you could get out of it at any time. There are no other vets within a 100 mile radius from my home that uses this Care Club. When I asked to be removed I was told I would have to pay over 300.00 to get out of it. I was put on the cat side of the vet and people came in and out of the room while I waited for anyone to come in for 20 minutes. The staff were coming in and out of the room to get the phamplets for the Care Club Plan.
I would be happy to stay but I never get to see the one vet I know. All the staff has changed and everyone has the same practiced answers. Staff are not as friendly as the old staff. The vet I got asked me to show her my dogs teeth because she bit her. Really??? how do they give dogs pills? I would never leave my dog there over night.
I was rushed and pushed into a decision. I asked to read about it but was given nothing with fine print about the buy out fee. Now I am stuck, discouraged and dissapointed. Please dont make the same mistake I did. I am searching for a new place to take my baby dog.

The vets are all very friendly and helpful, and seem t care very much. I appreciate that if I just need a routine shot I am not charged for a full office visit. I never have a problem getting an appointment. The place is always clean. I would recommend this vet to anyone with pets!

I was a bit disappointed by the lack of a diagnosis from my trip to the veterinarian here. My cat has a hard lump on her left hip that persisted for months and we came here for a differential diagnosis. The vet didn’t even give us a hypothesis and only suggested that an x-​ray could be done :-(. We would have appreciated a differential diagnosis and feel left in the dark about our cat.
Another facet of our visit that we didn’t like was that our cat was brought out of the exam room for the vet to examine her. We’re used to being walked through the exam findings and being left in the dark was a bit different for us.

These guys are awesome. We rescued a cat from a parking lot about two years ago and started bringing her here. From the beginning our Vet was awesome. She had to take leave for her pregnancy and we were a little worried about who would fill in and the other Vet we met with was great as well. They get you in and out and take great care of her. The prices seem reasonable to average but I do not know a lot about vet pricing. Overall the staff is nice and we are very pleased with our visits here.
