Legacy Soccer Academy offers unique soccer training programs that build on skills as well as reinforce values and positive character traits to enhance personal growth and team player qualities. Our goal is to form a legacy that will last for generations to come! We offer our program to after schools, home-​schoolers, day care centers & pre-​schools, churches, gymnasiums and parks. History

Established in 2013.

In 1998, owner and founder, Joe Mata began serving as a volunteer competitive soccer coach at his local park in South Florida. From the beginning he found a love and passion for soccer and discovered he had a gift to positively impact and connect with the lives of children and youth. Since then Coach Joe has provided personal, group & team training to his local community. He has also organized soccer camps, clinics, programs & tournaments for his local church & parks. His players & teams have been blessed with numerous awards and accolades but his focus has always been to have fun and try your best. He had a vision and heart desire to one day open a soccer academy and after praying for many years for an open door to pursue his passion full time, he decided to kick off Legacy Soccer Academy.

«I love teaching soccer to children and showing them that sport mirrors life in many ways. Both have out of bounds, rules to follow and ups & downs. My hope is that they do not base their level of success on wins & losses, rather that their success be based on trying their very best and being mindful of the „Golden Rule“ that you should always treat others as you would like others to treat you. My focus for my students is for them to foster a love for the game and understand that their level of excellence is dependent on their level of effort, execution and discipline. After each session I ask them what they learned, did they have fun and are they ready to come back for more!»
