Let me just start off by saying I love this place. Here’s why: Friendly bartenders, a full menu with delicious food, fish fry Fridays (I don’t get this in MN), home made soups! Try a burger– they are gigantic! And the prices are so low they should be illegal. In fact, the drink prices are really low too, another plus! There are several tvs so you can watch your favorite game. If you’re not into that, you can play pool, darts, or video games, or talk to some of the locals.
Here’s what I don’t love about this place: It’s a 3 ½ hour drive for me! However, it is in a convenient location, right off of Hwy 29 about an hour East of Green Bay, on the way to North Star Casino, and minutes from Ho Chunk Casino in Wittenberg. It’s definitely worth a stop!

Wow!!!
We were looking for a place that had outdoor dining so that our pups (all heading home from up north) could join us outside. It was way too hot to keep them in the car and we were driving for over an hour and awfully hangry. :)
Rachel’s welcomed us all and we had an amazing late lunch at the picnic table. The soup was UNREAL! It was soo good that we didn’t even notice it was almost 90 degrees and it wouldn’t have mattered if we did. My BF got the fried chicken and absolutely loved it. I got the brat pattie with cheese curds. And OMG covers how good everything was.
My only disappointment was that when we wanted to get another bowl of soup to take home they were already out! Apparently all of their soups are homemade and they sell out in under 3 days. YUM!
Ohh and side note, the very friendly bartender is a dead ringer for Joe Jackson (as played by Ray Liotta) in Field of Dreams!
This is definitely our new spot on the drive up and down from the cabin!

Nice folks, good prices, and the BEST fried cheese curds ever! On a side note, there were no cleanliness issues during our visit.
