I had a confirmed reservation for a mini van. I turn up for the rental and they don’t have one! They wanted me to charge an arm and a leg for an upgrade even though I am an Avis First. On top of all this, they don’t pick up the phone as well. Never going back there again ever!

My husband and I and our 2 year old were on our way to Maine for vacation when my car broke down on July 1, right before the holiday weekend.
My car had been acting kind of sketchy so we’d debated whether or not to take it and I had priced out renting thru Avis Braintree. But, we had the car checked and decided it would be ok. WRONG DECISION.
An hour into our trip my car died with all vacation stuff and baby stuff packed into the car. I left my husband and baby and Über’d to Avis Woburn.
I explained the situation. First they checked the current prices and informed me that since I last got a quote two days previous, the prices tripled due to the holiday.
They then managed to honor my original quote even though I had given them no commitment!
This new price was based on me making the drive to the Woburn location from my home in Holbrook.
3 weeks later when I got my car back and was ready to return the rental, my son had a very high fever and stomach bug. I called Avis Woburn and explained that if I returned the car there it would mean a 3 hour round trip for my baby that I did not want to subject him to sick.
They were able to work out a Braintree location return for me at no extra charge.
I was so impressed and they made several difficult situations much easier for me!

Totally avoid this place if you can!!!
People are not friendly and if they say they will refund you everything they then kept a large amount of money of yours. Totally a band of thieves. AVOID

We rent cars regularly from Avis in Brooklyn. We got a car that had an issue and brought it in to get checked out. The Agency Operator at this location Hamid Habibi totally got us out of a jam. Super quick turn around and we were back out in car and the problem was fixed.
