Best Western Plus New Englander

Friendly staff, good breakfast that goes until 10am for those who like to sleep in. They also have coffee, decaf, and hot chocolate with brownies and candy during the day. Clean, spacious rooms. AC was already set to a comfy temp when I got there. Good blinds to keep the room dark in the morning.
My only complaint is the exercise room is a little lacking. No free weights and a very old treadmill.

I had to come back home (Woburn) due to the sudden & untimely passing of my Mother. She & my Dad have lived in Woburn for 61 years.
My wife, 9 yer old boy & I stayed at this place. My mom passed the day we arrived (nov. 14^th). When we finally checked in it was fairly late in the eve. The desk lady (Pa Pa) was very nice & got us into our room promptly.
The next night was when our additional nightmare would start. My 9 yer old noticed & advised me that he ceiling of the bathroom was leaking. It was coming from the bath tub or toilet from the room above us (we were on the first floor). I walked to the desk & advised them of the problem. They had the maintenance man check it. He said we’d have to vacate. I went back to the desk & was advised that they were booked & they couldn’t give us another room. Eventually after my loud rants & my wife getting involved they sent us across the street to another hotel for the night. This is all around midnight. Prior to them conceding the desk person (an older lady with a walker) asked was it real bad … Can’t you stay there? Really? I asked her if she’d stay in a room with toilet or bath water leaking into her room.
When we returned he next day they had a room on the second floor. It was obvious it was a room on the renovation list but I was more concerned with my mothers funeral arrangements than a top notch room. This time we conceded. It was at this time that another desk person (a lady in her 40’s with longer brownish hair) said hat they would make it right by comping us for 2 nights. When we checked in I paid for the weeks invoice with CASH. I was assured that I’d get my $$ when we checked out. During the week I reminded the desk staff that Sat. morning we’d be leaving around 7 am to catch a flight back to Atlanta. Every night each person I spoke to me assured me that this was not a problem & they’d have my cash. Guess what … Check out time came & a young gentleman informed me that they didn’t have my cash (a little over $ 300.00). Eventually they credited my wife’s debit card for the amount. It’s now been 12 days since we left. They have yet to actually process the credit & we still do not have our money.
If I could give the place a negative rating on the Unilocal scale I would.
On top of having to deal with the loss of my mother I had to deal with the poor customer service afforded me & my family from this operation.
Save yourself some grief — don’t stay here!

The pillows are sofa pillows (small half sizes) and not standard bed sized pillows. The appliances were all unplugged. The clock was not turned back from daylight savings time. The sink would not drain. The vent fan in the bathroom did not work. BUT, the staff was friendly.

Had issues with room key card not working for hours, ended up locked out till 2am. originally gave this 1 star. However there solution was comping the entire stay and 40k points (2 additional free nights). There solution made things right and therefore I do recommend this hotel solely because they do right by there customers.

Have to give kudos when needed. The stay did not go super smooth, our room ended up having some major issues, I originally put up a rough review. However after the headache and little inconvenience the hotel ended up comping the room. So at the end of the day, at least they focus on taking care of their clients. Customer service was executed.

I originally gave this hotel 4 stars, but that was before I took a shower (or surprise bath) while staying ! The tub had peeling paint, and it took a while for the water to drain. Other than that, this was a nice hotel. See original review below:
I booked this hotel spur of the moment because I just wanted some peace and quite– but didn’t want to travel too far.
Upon arrival– I was greeted by the front desk receptionist and was able to check in about 30 minutes early, which was nice. She won extra brownie points by giving me complimentary apple cider donuts! Yum!
The hotel is clean and it is connected to Waxy O’Conner’s Irish Pub and Restaurant. I stopped by for some lunch and the food was delicious! So happy that I was able to walk over without driving around to find something since I was starving !
My room was very clean, the bed was big, and the bathroom was clean. It came with a micro-​fridge combo which was great when I wanted to heat up and store my left overs. The quiet atmosphere and desk was nice because I was able to get some work done.
Although my view wasn’t that great, I really liked the big windows !
They have a free continental breakfast, indoor pool, and a VERY small fitness section.

Woburn seems far out of Boston, but it was 20 minutes door to door from the airport — incredibly convenient when some «airport» hotels I’ve stayed in took 15 minutes. It’s in a great area with lots of food you can walk to. There’s plenty of parking, speedy wifi, and the lobby is open and inviting. The rooms have clearly been refurbed recently, too. It’s a great place to stay in a city where affordable hotels are hard to find.

My husband and I spent two nights, with a group of about 20+. Despite reservations at the restaurant, we were not seated together and one waitress was not enough… service was very slow and staggered. After the first night, I reported that our shower didn’t drain properly — consistently at our ankles. Never got fixed. They assured us that the shuttle to the commuter rail operated until 9pm, but when I called at 6pm (Saturday night) the woman told me
That she was the only person in the building, so no return shuttle. When I asked about reimbursement for a cab, she told me she didn’t have funds for that. It’s a 3.7 mile trip up interstate 93, so walking back to the hotel was not an option.

The staff took good care of us. We checked in pretty late at night so they got us all set really quickly and efficiently. The room was comfortable. Breakfast included is always a huge plus and helped us keep our travel expenses low. I used the workout room in the morning and it great. Next time I’ll check out the pool! I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Boston.

I had a great stay, I would highly recommend! This staff is friendly and informative. Plenty of amenities, work out room, free breakfast, and a pool!
Rooms were clean and spacious, and plenty of areas to work if you need a different setting.
There is a restaurant connected right to the hotel as well! Quick cab ride into Boston!

I had a great stay. The beds were so comfortable and provided me with the one thing that’s been lacking in my life… sleep. There was also a workout room and an indoor pool. It looked great, but I was all about the sleep. The free breakfast was also a plus. Friendly staff and very clean.

Had a great stay at Best Western. This place has an INDOOR POOL, exercise room, even a work station! Did I mention free breakfast. Rooms were great and staff was super friendly. Would recommend!

I always stay here when I travel to Boston for work. Sure, it is a little outside of the city, but after a day of work I just want to park my car and get work done.
This hotel is inexpensive, and has everything I need for my work trips.
The staff is friendly, and there is a restaurant/​bar on site. They also allow pets which is great. I have never had any serious issues here.
The only word of warning I would give is there have been buses of teenagers there on three different occasions I stayed. Thankfully they were not on my floor, but I could see how that would make the stay miserable if you were on that floor.
Like I said, I have never had any issues, and always had great experiences staying here for work.

So far so good. A friend put me up here for the night. I was alone and enjoyed the king sized bed.
The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of extras as far as toiletries. .and of course the whirlpool bathtub was a nice addition.
Tv has plenty of channels and comes in nicely… quiet so far and the bed is comfortable.
I heard breakfast was good… I will wait and see if I wake up in time for it :)

This is not a high end hotel, but for the price, service, conditions it gets the 5 stars.
Check in was fast and easy with the front desk clerk. the lobby was clean and maintained. Our room was #415. The elevator worked, the WiFi worked and the room was clean. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Water pressure was a little low but I get it, conservation.
Breakfast — Nothing brings out starving people like a free breakfast. The food area at 8am was crowded and food was being scooped as fast as 30 – 40 people can get it. It was being replenished while I was there.
The lobby has round the clock coffee and decaf along with hot water for the tea drinkers. The fitness center is small as are most these days but it does have a weight machine. I forgot my suit so I did not use the pool.
This hotel is close to the highway and easy to get to. Sound was not a problem from either road noise or other guests. We did eat at the attached restaurant «Waxy O’Connors» and that was a good experience also.

Meh… I have been traveling for work a LOT lately so I feel I can review a hotel with a certain confidence and this one is truly Meh-​worthy.
The lobby is nicely decorated and the desk folks were nice though I heard them say «I don’t know» which is a sign of weak customer service in my opinion. The pool looked ok though I was never back eaely enough to use it (closes at 10pm)
My room smelled pretty bad when I finally made it to the 5^th floor after an elevator ride that had me reading its inspection certificate to see if it expired back in aught 01′. The room was clean just smelled really off. The beds were surprisingly ok. The AC worked. The shower sucks though.
For the cost I feel ok giving 3 stars… though it could have been better. I wouldnt run screaming if I had no where else to stay the next time I’m here but I wouldn’t book here unless I HAD to.

Stay away. This hotel is trouble. Terrible management and if there is a problem they just do not care. Bathrooms stink and the breakfast «buffet» is low quality. Security door to parking lot on opposite side from check in desk was also broken when I stayed. Non-​smoking room smelled of cigarettes. Wi-​Fi also did not work. It’s cheaper than others because you get what you pay for if that. Don’t be fooled by any advertising or promises. I would give it no stars if I could.

I booked a room here with the help of William Shatner. I was taking a last minute weekend trip to Boston, and I got an amazing deal on this place. It is about a 10 – 15 minute drive from Boston, which turned out to be very convenient.
I was a little apprehensive on the quality of this place given the price I paid, but I definitely got more than my money’s worth.
The rooms are great if you just need to shower and sleep. Large flat-​screen in the room if you want to curl up in bed and watch TV.
Free breakfast is a major plus especially when the food is delicious. Again, I paid so little for a room here that I took full advantage of every breakfast and was always satisfied.
There is an indoor pool that I probably would have taken advantage of if I was sensible enough to bring swimming trunks with me to Boston in mid-​January.
My only complaint is that the WiFi connection from my room was horribly slow. I tried to use my computer, but found the LTE on my phone was much faster. Seriously, the WiFi was trash, but I relied on it so little that it was not really a problem for me.
I had a great stay here, and for the price, I would most definitely stay here again were I to take another trip to Boston.

This hotel is in disrepair. It has a terrible odor and possible mildew/​mold issue. I would not stay here again until it underwent a full renovation. The shower handle was broken, the sink had poor water pressure, and the exercise room was poor. The property has no curb appeal and is still under construction. While the staff was friendly and the breakfast and location highly desirable, the facility is not worth those two pluses. The hotel seemed empty at check-​in though I still had to wait one hour, until 3pm to check in. The conference room had poor lighting and climate control ups and downs. I felt uncomfortable in my room and questioned the overall cleanliness. The lobby restroom was disgusting. Overall, this facility gives Best Western a bad name. Stay elsewhere, closer to the Woburn or Burlington malls.

I have stayed there many times, it is not a fancy place but the rooms are clean and very functional. The meetings rooms are large enough for our purposes and the rugs are clean and the room is well airconditioned when needed.
