I ordered a hot fudge sundae with black raspberry ice cream and marshmallow. The ice cream portion was generous, too generous in fact. It left no space for the toppings. I ended up with a scant crosshatching of drizzled hot fudge and marshmallow, completely out of proportion to the mountain of ice cream. As a result, no more than the first few mouthfuls could be considered a sundae, the rest was just ice cream and too much of it. The staff was friendly and service was timely. The flavor and consistency of the ice cream was also good. But if I had wanted just a bowl of ice cream, that’s what I would have ordered. Back to finding someplace else local for my sundae fix.

I’m not sure why people are complaining about waiting on line for ice cream during the summer. That’s just what happened because its hot and everyone wants ice cream during the summer. I have not found the staff to be anything but nice and generous in their portions. Truthfully come there with a smile be nice to them and I guarantee they will be nice to you. Their ice cream is awesome great location huge parking lot. what more could you want?

Great ice cream– very rude staff. Haven’t been back after an awful encounter with a young employee. Many other ice cream shops in town to choose from.

icecream is delicious and portions are generous!!! a kiddie size is easily comparable to most other locations medium. service is TERRIBLE. i feel myself getting angry waiting in line. key word«waiting». there are usually 6 young girls working and only 1 serving. the line could be 10 people long and no one steps up to help serve patrons. The attitude and professionalism is disgusting. they are staffed by high school girls who complain about patrons instead of working. selection: one day you go and they have 10 items available and the next they no longer have sprinkles or Frappes. it is totally hit or miss. i have seen multiple people leave before getting icecream because of the slow service and lack of icecream an ice cream shop should have: icecream

Breakers is an all time favorite! The girls who work there are exemplary employees that anyone would be lucky to have! I am a regular and truly admire how great and accommodating they are. However it seems that there is never a lot of ice cream which is not the girls fault and they have always apologized for. Who runs an ice cream place and doesn’t order ice cream and then leaves poor teenage girls to defend themselves to the customers?! However the ice cream is great and I will continue to go there always!!! Keep it up breakers girls! You make Woburn proud!

Excellent homemade ice cream with giant portions! Outdoor seating with window service. They had a very limited selection of flavored, probably because the season is just getting started with warmer weather. Definitely will go back. Really interesting flavors!

Ice cream, portion and price is good unless you go in the winter then the flavors are very limited. We stood at the counter for 10 minutes while the 2 girls stood there gossiping and texting. When we sat down to eat our ice cream we had to leave 5 minutes later because I didn’t want my son to hear the swears the girls were saying every 30 seconds. Better to go in the summertime!

An old local favorite– can’t beat the taste or the price, and the portions are HUGE. Save yourself a couple cents and get a kiddie; you’ll get the same amount as a small. Unfortunately, they’re always understaffed. Therefore, there is always a long line. Oh and they only accept cash…

Breakers has been the go-to place for ice cream in the Woburn area for many years now. They have a wide selection of flavors. It’s ‘homemade’ in so much as they offer Richardson’s ice cream(so not made on site). The good: you get an enormous amount of ice cream for a bargain(the kiddie size equates to a small elsewhere). They also have great shakes. The bad: their ability to stock has been downright dismal the last year or so. 50% of the time that I’ve gone, they are out of the more popular flavors. And the last few times I’ve stopped in during the off-season it’s gotten far worse: they have had a large list of all the flavors they are out of(at least a 1/3, if not half). It’s disappointing and downright inexcusable that they can’t keep adequate stock for so long. If you want to ensure you get what you want, you’re probably better off taking a quick drive up to an actual Richardson’s location.

GREAT ice cream. But unfortunately we’ve gone the past 2 days and ended up leaving without ice cream because the line was so long and only one girl at the window. The day before we went but everything was gone. Again, great ice cream but they clearly don’t know how to run a business.

Be prepared to spend a few minutes perusing the menu board. There are a lot of ice cream and yogurt choices. This is an old-fashioned and value-oriented shop. This is down home ice cream at a good price.

Solid spot for some ice cream, and compared to some of the prices out there this place is a charity. Not a bad scene, unless you have a deathly fear suburban youth– in that case this place is not for you. Theys got benches, theys got picnic tables, theys even got billiards inside. Here’s a hint: get a kiddie cone/cup, it’s bigger than a Ben & Jerry’s 2 scoop and costs under $ 3.50. It’s legit.
