If you’re looking for an efficient, speedy quick plumber around the Metro Boston area, John’s Sewer is the plunge to take. We called them yesterday and they had everything fixed by today. Chris is your go-​to guy. He was professional, experienced, proficient and honest. I told him I was looking for the ‘Waterpik’ brand. He even kept me in the loop, and texted me pictures of the available shower heads at the store for me to pick. I couldn’t be happier with the service he provided today. John’s Sewer took the pain out of our drain!

I called John’s because of a backup on my line to the septic tank. Matt came over within an hour and cleaned out the line and did a camera inspection after that to check for any other problems. Great work, fast repair and all is back to normal. Highly recommend them.

Read the reviews and thought I would give them a try, needed to unclog a main sewer drain at the house. Called in the morning and talked with Brian, and was easily able to get a 10 am appointment. Serviced arrived around 10:30 right after a requested call to my cell to let me know when they would arrive. The serviceman (frank) was very professional and explained the process. 45 minutes later he was done. Very professional, cleaned up after and was very thorough with completing the job right. 195 dollars was reasonable and came with a 90 day guarantee. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone.

Needed drain service on worst time ever! Right after the Superbowl and before the storm came through. It was 12:00 at night when I got hold of the boss, told her of our issue and that my family of six was going to be stuck in house during the storm without functioning bathrooms. She got hold of one of her technicians and before long Alex was there. He fixed the drains and left before the storm hit. Thank you John’s Drains and Alex! You were life savers and my new drain company. (By the way, my old drain company responded to my call of panic an hour after first call it and told me that the trucks were in garage and storm was coming, did not seem to care that my family was going to be stuck in house with no toilets! So much for their ²⁴⁄₇ claim!)

They came out in a snow storm about an hour after we called to have the sewer line snaked. The technician was professional, polite and got the job done quickly. He even had to take off the door to our cellar to get the machine down. Very pleased and would definitely recommend.

I used John’s Sewer this week and am very pleased with the service. They had to come out a second time because there was an impediment to drain cleaning the first time. They were prompt and courteous both times. I called them this morning and they were able to get to me within several hours. Nice guys. I’ll definitely call them next time I’m in need.

I chose this company based on good Unilocal reviews and they lived up to the billing. We had an ancient bathroom pipe that was clogged so that the drain ran slowly enough to cause floods if you didn’t shut it off absolutely completely. Yesterday, the first worker arrived and cleared it partway but explained that clogs were farther along as well, and they would return the next day to deal with them. Two more workers arrived as promised, figured out that the best approach was through the attic (of all places) because of the inaccessibility of the trap under the bathroom floor. They did it! This sink drain has not run freely in years and now it’s great. They were prompt, professional, delivered what they promised, and did not gouge me. Based just on the labor I expected the cost to be higher. Great service. No reason to ever go elsewhere.

Friday the 13^th we had a back in my basement that was horrific, we called Johns and they came out within a hour. They quoted $ 185 to snake out the sewer line and when they got here it was far more complex. They finally finished after 3 hours and when I got the bill it was $ 185.I was shocked it wasn’t more.
Then 33 days later my sewer backed up again and we called Johns and they came out very quickly. They determined that what was beginning flushed (woman products floss wipes) was the cause of the back up. To my surprise they didn’t charge me for the revisit and I had them run a camera threw the drain (super cool btw) to ensure what the problem was. All was clear they charged me for the camera and gave me a DVD to see exactly what was the problem.
These guys are real good at what they do and they won’t take advantage of the situation.

Both of my bathroom sinks were clogged today and after struggling for an hour to unclog them myself I have and decided to call a plumber. I found John’s Sewer on Unilocal after calling another plumber who had sent me an ad to the house. They couldn’t come until the next day, John’s came out within the hour, was professional, fast and the price was very reasonable. I’ll definitely use them again.

I have used them 2x in the past year. They were on time and did the job very quickly. They provide an excellent service and the prices are way cheaper than that nationally known RR Co. Save yourself a few hundred bucks and give them a call to clean your pipes! You will not be disappointed!!!

John’s was our saving grace last night when our main line was clogged and sewage backed up into our shower! Horrible! I called, and they were at our house within 45 minutes, fixed the problem quickly and at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

John’s Sewer & Cleaning installed a sump pump with electrical box back in May 2011. I paid $ 2,950. They use a short clamp to connect two 3′ PVC pipes together and it came loose 3 times. The second time this had happened Sean D (plumber) told me he would change the clamp to a better one because the one installed was too short to hold together the pipes. He left the job and when I went to see what he had done i notice he had left the same one. I called him and he told me that he did not have the other clamp and Home Depot was closed. But he said he made it really tight and it should not give me any problems also he said to call and they will fix it for free since it had happened twice and he did not have the other clamp. Well my warranty is over and it happened again.
Previous time alarm would go off when the clamp came loose but not this time, I don’t know how long it has being leaking or loose completely like i found it. When I spoke to them i found out that Sean D is no longer a subcontractor for them. When I told them that Sean D had not change the clamp previously and had told me that they will fix it for free they did not believe me and started yelling at me assuming that I was lying. Manager told me there is only one type of clamp, that Sean D did not say that (pretty much calling me a liar) … Well, they sent a plumber and the plumber did change the clamp because the one that was there was, was not the right one or not a good one for the job. Then I called back the person who assumed i was lying (manager) and asked him if he was licensed plumber and he said no. I told him please let me give you an advice «Please never yell at a customer, especially when you are not a licensed plumber and don’t even know about clamps or have the proper information to assume things.» He yelled again with anger and said ‘are you only calling me to tell me I was wrong?” and I said yes but also to ask you NOT to yell at your costumers and you are doing it again. He continue yelling at me being really unprofessional. He said and I suppose to call you for advise every time now?.. are you my advise man for the rest of my life???” and I couldn’t ask him anything else. He wanted to hang up on me and I said you cannot hang up on me I am a costumer and I still have another question. I wanted to know why the alarm didn’t go off like it previously did when the clamp came loose. When he finally let me ask he said is not my problem your out of warranty.(I just wanted to know the mechanics of how this works) but I guess its not there problem anymore. THen I said you are so rude with clients and he said what do you want me to do to shut you up and he asked me «do you want $ 100 or $ 200 dollars?» and I said no is not about the money and Im not asking for money. I just want to be treated with respect and you are not helping at all. And I did not accept any money. Well I called the office and spoke to a nice lady (the operator) and I asked her if I could speak to the managers higher up and she said yes that they would call me the next business day. 20 minutes later I got a call from Johns sewer and it was a lady’s sweet voice again I thought it was the operator calling me by accident since she said they were going to call me the next day. Well I said nicely oh its me Douglas we have just spoke it must be a mistake (thinking it was the same lady returning someone else’s call) Well it was a different lady and she went off at me yelling saying oh because i’m a woman i’m suppose to be a phone operator and she continue going off at me not wanting to hear anything from me and I said why are you putting down phone operators like they are lower than you. I apologize immensely for «me» thinking it was the other lady. I said I made a mistake thinking that you were the same lady but I never put down woman’s role down and you are putting the phone operator role down. But she continue yelling at me for like 3 minutes about woman’s rights and said she did not want to hear anything from me. All this because I made a mistake thinking she was the phone operator. I asked her to talk to my wife since she didn’t want to talk to me and she hung up the phone on my wife… (If you read this just to let you know before my mom died she was a business owner for many years and never I put her down for being a woman. I do respect and applaud woman’s achievement) John’s sewer is a great company I bet and I recommend them but for me I will never use them just because they assumed I was a lier and yelled at me for no reason. Maybe they were just all having a bad day like the 2^nd lady said «what else do you expect from us, it is a sunday and the vice president spoke to you» Thank you Vice President for calling me on a Sunday but please don’t yell at anyone. I bet you don’t appreciate getting yelled at either. And I apologize if I had upset tone but you did treat me like a lier when I was not one.

Called John’s Sewer when another sewer company failed to help me. The women on the phone listened to me and tried to trouble shoot the problem with me. She was able to get answers for me while I was still on the phone. They came out to service immediately. The tech, John, was very professional and nice. He explained things and took care of my problem.

I had an excellent experience with this company. They arrived within an hour and a half and the technician I dealt with (Josh) fixed the problem for a lot less than I expected. We’re very happy with this plumbing company!

I had John’s come out when our downstairs bathroom through a sh*t fit and overflowed all over the floor. We had a clog in the main drain to the septic tank and we needed help fast. Everything was backing up into the downstairs bathroom so we couldn’t use water at all. Sean from John’s came out within 1 ½ hours of my initial call to the office (which was handled promptly and by a live, actual employee and not a call center).
Sean was great. I showed him the sh*t show in the bathroom and he immediately got to work digging up the septic tank. He opened it up, diagnosed the issue as a massive grease clog and he snaked the line from the outside so that no (further) mess was made inside my house.
I had visions of septic tank replacement, yard excavation and thousands of dollars down the drain (literally). But within 3hrs of my initial call, the water in my house was draining normally again and all for under 200 bucks and a small hole dug in my back yard.
I would absolutely recommend John’s when you’re ankles deep.

So. my wife is on her way out the door when I hear her screaming «THERE’S SH*T EVERYWHERE!!!». Ok, I thought, the kids didn’t clean up their toys again. No. There was sh*t everywhere because the main sewer line backed up. I called this service, they quoted me $ 180 and the tech will be at my house in 90 minutes. Two and half hours later (close enough), he came and routed my drain (took 1 hour). Technician was conscientious about doing a good job and I am happy with the service. Actual bill was $ 185 (also close enough) with a «fuel surcharge». A very reasonable drain snaking service, which is what I wanted.

We had John’s come out to fix our toilets… they came quickly, assessed our problem & determined that someone else in the building had turned off the building’s sump pump, causing everything to overflow.
We’ll use them again, for sure!

We had John’s come out to clean out our roof drain of our three family building. The guy who came out didn’t seem to be very happy about climbing up on our roof, but he did anyways. He was up on the roof for a while and then came to report his findings.
He assured us that the drain was fine. His report stated that there was nothing blocking the drain and that it was draining properly.
Then one day, during heavy rain our home was flooded. Thinking that the drain was fine, we enlisted a roofer to get up on the roof to diagnose the problems. When he got up on the roof, there was an estimated 1200 gallons of water on the roof due to a backed up drain.
Another drain company (not naming as to not appear biased) came out and found the clog in 15 minutes. He couldn’t clear it as it was quite large, but we were able to get a plumber out to replace the pipe.
