Monteiro’s Precise Painting

It is such a pleasure to work with Monteiro. We have now hired him more times than I can count. Scheduling is easy, done by text with his wife, who manages his calendar. Monteiro arrives on time and is prepared. His work is excellent– he makes super clean lines and perfect finishes. He is able to do tricky areas, such as our 14 foot cathedral ceilings, without any complaint. If there ever has been a problem with the arrangement (for example when I bought the wrong type of paint, or when plaster had recently been applied to our walls but not primed), Monteiro remained calm and professional, and made the best of the situation. He has always completed our work on time and kept our home clean. On top of his excellent work, he is a very nice person, to boot.

Think he is great with painting? Try Monteiro with Venetian Plaster, Oh My Goodness! This was his suggestion after he painted the hallway and in 2 years it was an absolute mess, dirty hands, chips, all by us of course. He suggested the venetian plaster and it is gorgeous and I am sure will last a long, long, long time… Who else would suggest something like this, most come in and do their job, this is a sign of a true professional, one who really cares about what would work. He could have repainted it again and again, and made money again and again, but actually offered up this idea, who does that? Oh yeah, did I mention that Rula and Monteiro make the BEST team? They are BOTH so nice, professional, honest and fair. You would be CRAZY to look any further! But please do not tell too many people how fantastic they are, I don’t want them to get too busy and have to wait too long to have them back!!! ;)

I used Montiero again to paint a number of rooms in my new home. We were thrilled with the work he did and his professionalism. He provided the cost and the time estimate for each job and were very happy with both the estimate and time on both rooms. We’ll be hiring him again and again!

Living Social first introduced Monteiro to us via a coupon for 1 room paint job. When Monteiro came for the estimate, he looked at the paint chipping off our walls in the bedroom and bathroom, and said that patching and plastering had to be redone first before the room can be painted. He gave us a cost and time estimate for the job. While the cost of fixing the paint in both rooms was certainly more than we had expected, Monteiro guaranteed that the outcome would be worth every penny. We bit the bullet and went ahead with the job. Monteiro’s wife, Rula, did a fantastic job scheduling the job and accommodating our busy schedule. In the end, both our downstairs guest bedroom and bathroom look beautiful — all the paint chips were gone, no uneven surfaces, everything had a clean and crisp look. We couldn’t be happier with his work.

I am SO happy right now typing this from one of the freshly-​painted rooms that Monteiro painted. He is an absolute professional and I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs to have any exterior/​interior work done. He started and finished on time, cleaned up wonderfully, and the finished product was PERFECT. The lines were cleans, the coats matched, and the previous holes on the walls were gone. I ended up having him also paint the exterior of my house because I was so impressed with his professionalism. I’m not ashamed to admit that when it comes to painting some things are best left to the pros — and Monteiro is just that. Solid work, will definitely use him again for other rooms in my place. Scheduling was easy, his rates were great, and the finished product is excellent. Two thumbs up!

Monteiro didn’t paint behind my bed, painted right over nails in the wall and didn’t ask if I wanted them removed, didn’t remove light fixtures and so left a ring of old paint around them, and also forgot to do a second coat on much of the wall edges, so they don’t match the rest of the wall.
