Rite Window

I recently had Rite Widow install 8 replacement windows in my home. Not only are they great Windows but I can’t say enough good about the crew that did the instillation, Jack, Tom, Pete, and Larry who came back because of a minor issue. They were extremely friendly and professional believe me I have dealt with a lot of contractors in my life and the guys were the best.
My wife and I are extremely happy with both the quality of the windows and the install.
They paid attention to the details.
I’m so pleased that if the company wanted to use my home for promotional reasons I would do that for them.

I received a call from one if the owners after he read my review. He apologized for the late start of the crew, and the caulking issues that the pictures showed. He said he wanted to make things right and he did.
Wanted to send a crew by to caulk the work right. The windows installed are great, they made the house quieter. I’m happy with the company. I should have just called before I wrote the bad review, that’s on me not them.

I researched a number of window companies, and based on the reviews /​cost /​value, I went with Rite Window. The office staff and my salesman Wayne were easy to deal with. The installers were good, but I encountered a problem with a sash that didn’t close properly. John in their office took care of it promptly. This was my first experience with windows, and they made it pretty easy. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

After reading my negative one star review, the co-​owner phoned me today to apologize. I was told a call back message had indeed been left on my phone. Though I never got it, I don’t dispute this. I discussed my water leak situation and was given very helpful advice. I was also told if the action I am taking with a local construction company does not provide the expected results, to contact them again and they would send someone right over at no charge to asses my situation. An offer was also made to further make it up to me but I explained I was satisfied with the phone call, though if I ever do use their services I wouldn’t be opposed to a special discount :). I expressed my frustration over companies who offer free quotes, provide a dedicated contact page on their web site, and then promptly ignore customers who contact them. We even discussed their «silly» radio adverts (chicken parm, alien probing, etc.).
I cannot speak for the product they sell, but I will say it takes class, professionalism, and dedication to track down an unhappy prospective customer and offer a personal apology, something none of the other companies who also ignored me have done.
And to those consumers who take the time to read and/​or post reviews on Unilocal and other sites and don’t think they really matter that much, I beg to differ.

I just saw a commercial for replacement windows (not Rite Window) and thought of the replacement windows I had installed by Rite Window approximately 5 years ago. The windows look good and work as intended. I don’t remember the name of the sales agent or the installers. They were professional quick and reasonably priced. Wilmington MA.

Just replaced all the windows in our house. Scheduled an appointment, the rep (Keith) was on time (early actually), knowledgable, ran through the sample windows, reviewed the number and size of windows and outlined pricing and options — pretty much all exactly what you should expect. Having looked at a few options already, we opted for the Energy Master III as we felt it was a solid window, with a little more energy savings, at a good value. We also opted for the 0% financing option to do them all at once and speed it out a little. The windows were done almost a week before estimated. The installers (Jeff, Jason and Roberto) did a bang-​up job. We opted to replace all our window stops as they were old and broken (cheap windows, poorly installed the last time they were done) and put in an additional layer of insulation around the head and jamb. They were very neat working and did a great job cleaning up. All-​in-​all, at this point, we are very happy with the sales process, windows and installation and would definitely recommend Rite Windows. Can’t give a 5-​star rating just yet as we need to see how the windows do over a little time. I’ll set a reminder to come back and update this review with performance comments next year. And hopefully up it to a 5.

I scheduled someone to come out to do an estimate and their salesman was excellent and knowledgeable. The windows came in on time and installation went well with only one issue. I noticed one of the screens had a cut, but I told the installers and someone came the next morning to replace the screen. One piece of advice I would give is to PVC the window trim. When my old storm windows were removed it left unpainted wood trim around the window. I paid to have the windows in the front of the house covered with pvc molding, but not the back. The salesman told me I might regret not doing the back too, but I was looking to save a few bucks. You should leave a few extra dollars in your budget and do them all, otherwise you’ll be painting the exterior every five years or so. But overall the process of working with them was straight forward and easy. I feel the windows are a good value and I made a good choice.

We had heat coming inside in the summer and escaping in the winter. Financially, we had to wait to fix the problem. When our neighbor had her windows replaced by Rite Window she was happy with the guarantees and the workmanship. We called them and the salesperson explained everything very well. The installation went fine, but my husband spotted a mark on one of the glass frames and they replaced it without complaint. We were very happy that we did it. We will be using this company to do the remainder of our windows in the near future.

The owner Ted came out today to give a quote on a small bathroom window. His cocky attitude started the minute he walked in the door. The entire time he was here he mentioned that he would be doing the one window as a «courtesy» because his jobs run in the thousands of dollars (in other words, don’t waste my time with one lousy window). He asked us right out if we were going to get it done or not ($ 750 for the one small window!) and when we said no, he told us it didn’t make any difference to him and couldn’t leave the house fast enough. With his obnoxious attitude, even if the price were $ 250, we wouldn’t have him do the job.

The windows are not bad but I would not recommend patio door from them. The measurement was way off therefore the doors were much smaller (about 5 inches) from my original door. Plus a much thicker frame so it makes the area smaller.

We met with 6 companies and chose Rite Window. Their triple-​pane window in combination with a moderate price offered the best value. The installation crew was professional and did a good job cleaning up. The windows themselves are of good quality. The triple-​pane glass has helped make the house quieter and we anticipate they’ll help lower our heating cost this winter.
