3 months later I am waiting for the replacement door as they ordered the wrong size… twice… now its three times.
Come to find out they installed the door incorrectly. So now I have mold that has done $ 4000 worth of damage to my house
I got for compensation was $ 150 in gift cards.
Not once during this entire two-​year process did a manager ever call and apologize for such a hideous service and product

They are AWFUL!!! Do not use them. Windows were broke, did not fit in the window, customer service is AWFUL!!!

I shopped around first (1,000 per Window) then it was a No Brainer

Used this company in 2 of my homes. Had a slight problem the last time I used them…2 windows were not measured correct and did not fit. Had to wait weeks for replacements for the replacements, but we settled on a reduced price as compensation. One of the windows developed a broken seal and they replaced it under warranty without hesitation.
I think their price and quality are good though they ask for too much down, not in line with what other window companies require. I had a sales guy from their company come out about 2 months ago to look at replacing additional windows but there were concerns and their guy in charge of installs was supposed to contact me but I never heard from him. Overall a good outfit which I would recommend, but as with most companies, there is room for improvement.

Got the 10 windows for $ 2895.00 special. The installers Norman & Brian are a team. I highly recommend them. The windows are a great value for the money. I got exactly what I ordered no surprises. Windows work great they caulk the inside & outside. We’re looking forward to a warmer house this winter.

I would call this a very late and new review since I had they done two separate jobs. One is a year ago and the other is done yesterday.
Let me write something for the first job first. I have 3 oversized old picture windows in my living room. They are all single pane. One was slightly damaged 3 years ago. But the brutal winter in New England just keeps abuse that window. Finally the slightly it gave up, a crack grows all the way cross the whole window and looks like it could fall any time. I taped it up but it is so ugly, it ruins my whole view. I waited for the spring to come. I got quotes from all name brand companies. Since the unique size of the window I got an unreal number to replace one window from those guys. With all those unacceptable numbers in hand I called window world Boston from a friend’s recommendation. I thought I have nothing to lose. The price from the sale guy shocked, I only need to pay half of the price of one window for all 3 windows. 5 weeks later, I welcomed my installation crew. It is a father and son partnership, both named Rich. They are very considerable. I have a tree in front of the picture windows, which is kind of in the way. They offered to cut the tree down for free. I happily accepted the offer and thought they just gonna cut the tree and leave it for me to clean. But amazingly after the tree was removed, they cleaned the whole site like nothing happened. I have to say I really enjoyed their service. On time, professional, clean and get the job done perfectly. It has been a little more than a year since the installation. I have watched the window inside out, since I like to sit in front of the window with a cup of hot coffee and enjoy the view. Didn’t see any sign of imperfection. I have to say I owe they for this review for a year. They did help me to bring the highlight of my house back.
Here comes the second part of the review for the job done yesterday. First of all, because I loved the first job they did for me, when my wife and I decided to replace the 40 year old windows at the second floor, I chose window world again. For comparison I got some prices for this job from other places. Of course I picked they again. No brainer, right. This time the delivery is even faster since all my windows are standard size. 3 and half weeks after I signed the contract, the windows are in. I talked to the manager to request Rich and Rich since I trusted them for the last Job. ‘No problem’ I was told. The original date is on last Friday. The Rich family showed on time. But there is one issue. Weather doesn’t cooperate. Forecast says rain on and off, maybe clear out in the afternoon. Rich called me for a meeting. They told me giving the weather condition, the installation can not be done flawless and it will be messy. I hesitate a little. Then Rich offered me an alternative. Since Saturday is a much better day for this job. They would like to come out again instead of doing it on Friday. I have to say that is a very good idea for me. But I do feel very bad for them since it takes the weekend away from them. There is not too much I would need to repeat about the installation, since everything is as expected. They came on time, get the job done perfectly, keep everything clean. They even helped me moved one heavy furniture, which I failed to move the day before with my wife.
Based on my experience, I would recommend windows world to anyone I know. Will also tell everyone to ask Rich and Rich for installation.
I will come back and tell you how are the windows next year, but I doubt there will thing I need to worry.

My experience with window world was and has been amazing. From the customer service down the line to the sales team and right into the instalation crew. I had 7 windows installed yesterday by a Father and son team by the name of Rich and Rich. They were friendly professional and courteous. They arrived early they did their work clean, efficiently, and quick. I would highly recommend them and their company to any family and friends i have. Thank you for such an amazing job Rich and Rich.

This is an amazing company.

I hired them for a whole house vinyl siding job after a conversation with the salesman, the workers bust their asses to rush through the job, but give very little attention to detail, don’t ask questions and are very sloppy. Chicken bones from lunches, nails everywhere (and we have dogs), urine spots in the snow behind the work van from workers which we had to see every time we went out to the car… Just not worth the 30k I spent.

We took a risk hiring them after getting other estimates which were too high. I talked with them about their low reviews. They did a smooth and quick job replacing our windows. They did order the wrong size patio sliding door, but came back with the right size within a week. So far we are happy with our fifteen new windows as well as the patio doors. We ordered two new front doors from Lowes before working with Windows World, and we are still waiting for them via Lowes! (One is installed improperly and the other door isn’t installed yet). Compare Lowes to this company — we got fifteen replacement windows and a converted patio door from 3 old windows within 5 weeks!

This company has Dan Rea, the ultra-​conservative political spokesman from WBZ radio, as it’s celebrity salesman. This tells me all I need to know. I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

I bought a condo in Newburyport where Window World Boston (out of Woburn, MA) had installed the windows. Since I wasn’t aware and, apparently neither were the previous owners, that the warranty needed to be transferred to me within 30 days of closing, the windows are no longer covered under their «lifetime» warranty. So, ok but I have a broken pane of glass and am willing to pay for it to be replaced. So far I can’t get them to fix the window. They don’t call back as promised. I was told that the owner (Eric) would call me. Didn’t call. I called back and left voice mail with the Service Manager (Gayle, I believe), no call back. The service manager immediately puts me in defensive mode whenever I have spoken with her — very grating demeanor. Every time I ask a question she immediately wants me to talk to the owner. The warranty situation feels like a «clever» business practice and they provide very poor support of their product as far as I can tell. The service manager recently asked me to see if I could get the factory to repair the window under a factory warranty knowing full well that they’d ask for the paperwork to prove that I was the original purchaser of the windows or that the warranty had been transferred to me within the 30 days. This seems to be a stalling tactic. Maybe they are trying to wear me down. I’ll post this review to every site where I can do so in hopes that buyers will be cautious when doing business with this company. It will cost me a few hundred dollars to get the window repaired but by posting this, they may lose thousands in business and don’t seem overly concerned about the reputational damage it will cause to the company. Notice on their website they have plenty of testimonials regarding sales and installation but only one video regarding the warranty which I could not get to run. Also, I don’t think any of the testimonials pertain to Window World in Woburn. Some good may also come of this post if someone selling or buying a home, who may have overlooked the window warranty, will remember to transfer the warranty. Buyer of Window World Windows beware. Buyer of a residence with Window World Windows beware.

I have mixed emotions about my experience with Window World of Boston. I am ultimately happy with my windows which I got for a really good price and were installed, as far as I can tell, professionally. However, I don’t think I’d ever recommend them to a friend as I have high expectations for things I spend a lot of money on and these did not meet them.
The salesman was very knowledgeable and professional. He showed up early and walked me through the options. He didn’t try to do a crazy sales pitch. Just told me what I needed, and the best he could offer me. He didn’t try to boost the price like a car salesman would do. Everything is just there. You can go with their options, upgrade or downgrade. The price they offered me was the lowest I could find, and I feel that I could have spent much more elsewhere on the same quality window and install. Their customer service also seems great from my little interaction with them.
The windows themselves are pretty nice, and look much better than my old ones. Energy star qualified as well.
The bad:
First, I had to take a day off from work. I’m sure many places do Saturday installs, and taking a vacation day off for something like this is not ideal. So, I took a whole day off, and Window World said they’d be there between 8 and 10am. 10:30 comes along, and no one has arrived. A service person calls me and says that they got hung up with another install and were going to be late, which made no sense to me because installs are usually hours long and I figured I was the first one scheduled for the day. I was told I’d be called a half hour before they showed up. This didn’t happen, and could have been a problem (but wasn’t) because I had left the house. They eventually showed up at 12:30pm, and the group who came to do my windows said my originally scheduled installer called out sick. So someone was obviously lying here, I am not sure who. Either way, I didn’t appreciate being lied to and I was already pissed off because they were late. In addition, them showing up at 12:30pm meant that I could have worked a half day, so they wasted my time. And you know what they say about time. Time is money. Ultimately, this wasted my money.
Second, the installers that came started pulling in to my driveway with a huge box truck. To give you an idea of the size of my driveway, my girlfriends jetta barely fits through it. It is a shared driveway and I went outside to tell them to park on the street. They told me they couldn’t (what do they do when they work on a house without a driveway?), and insisted on parking in the driveway and blocking a spot. They started pulling in laughing and swearing. Not that I care about swearing, but I was already upset about the previously mentioned issues and the fact that they didn’t listen to what I said at all, so as you can imagine, approximately zero professionalism was shining through. I just let them do their thing, and it ended up not being an issue… but the spot they were blocking was a neighbor who works a night job, so their car could have definitely been pulling in any minute. I ended up liking the installers overall and they were fun to talk to, but the initial impression was not good and the fact they didn’t listen to me about parking (a huge pet peeve of mine) left a bad taste in my mouth.
Third, the installers were talking the whole time about how clean they leave a job site. and while I was sitting there watching them, they did seem to be at least attempting to clean, but I think they were in a rush to leave and weren’t as thorough as they should be. After a lengthy inspection when they left, they were a far fetch from clean. Besides the typical mud and dirt tracked in which you expect with any house work, there were paint shavings from the window trim, finger prints all over the windows themselves (you’d expect them to windex them down after install, no?), some stuff they left behind and various other things. It probably took me an hour to get everything cleaned up the way it should be.
Lastly, they asked to use some of my stuff that they didn’t have themselves. This was probably the least concerning thing to me because, if what they said was true about my installer calling out sick, they would have been unprepared for my job. They had to use my paper towels to clean the trim (which was actually pretty clean) and even had to use one of my drill batteries because theirs were out. Again, this didn’t bother me so much because I understand why they were unprepared, but it’s worth of mention.
Overall, the experience was «ok» but when you’re shoveling out so much $$ for this stuff, you probably want a better experience than what I had. Maybe it was the exception and not the rule.

I had scheduled someone to come out at 12:30 today to give an estimate for a replacement window. No call/​no show, so I called them at 1:05 and they then had the guy call me at 1:15. He said he didn’t have my address (!) and was a half hour away… !
I’ll pass. If they can’t get an estimate set up correctly…
Update: Judging by the awful reviews, it looks like I lucked out that they didn’t show!
