Woburn Foreign Auto Body

I have a 2015 car. Sent over my car in Feb and got it fixed. Now it’s summer time and I found my AC is not working. I went to my car’s dealership and he told me that some parts of AC were taken away during my last repairment. Considering this is the only repairment for my car. I’m pretty sure the guys in Woburn Foreign Auto Body forgot to put the parts back or they just took it on purpose. I will never go back there since they clearly suck at their job.

I took my car here to get fixed on the recommendation of a friend. He had shown me how they email you a picture they take of your car each day, so you can see the progress as it’s being fixed. I liked the idea and I needed to have some repair work done. After having the car towed to Woburn, I got a call from someone there asking if I could come pick up the small outboard motor that I’d just purchased on Craigslist and had left in the trunk of the car (they were fixing the rear tailgate). I had no place else to put the outboard, and with my car now in the shop, no way of getting out to Woburn from Boston. I told the guy that, and then told him that I wouldn’t mind if they wanted to remove the motor from my trunk and put it somewhere during their work. He said ok, and that they would proceed with the repairs. I then told him that they just needed to make absolutely sure that the motor was only ever placed «tiller side up,» and that there is a decal on the side that clearly says «THIS SIDE UP.» Otherwise the oil will flow into the cylinder/​carburetor and cause damage. The guy cut me off, telling me that all his guys own boats, and that they’d know what to do. Fair enough!
Fast forward a few weeks, I get my daily email with a picture of my car. The tailgate was open and the rear bumper had been removed. At first glance it looked just fine, until I noticed my engine sitting there with the wrong side down! I immediately called them and explained the situation, and was put on hold while the guy who answered spoke with someone who had been working on the car. «Oh yeah, he says it’s just fine, not a problem.» I told him that was definitely NOT fine, and that it was now almost certainly flooded with oil and wouldn’t start. «It was only like that for a few minutes, it should be fine.» The owner’s manual said otherwise, so I got a ride there the next day and picked up the engine to bring it to a dealer for service. I told them what had happened, and mechanic there tested it to see if it was ok. Sure enough, the pull cord was jammed and the engine wouldn’t start. Great. I asked them to fix it and send me the bill.
The total to clean and rebuild the engine came to $ 154. I sent the invoice to WFAB, and explained that I expected them to pay for it, as the damage was entirely caused by their carelessness (it started flawlessly prior to being left on the wrong side), and I had EXPLICITLY warned them not put it on the wrong side before they began work on the car. The guy told me that they weren’t paying because they weren’t responsible, and that this is why they wanted me to come pick up the engine in the first place. Bullshit. They called me to say they didn’t want to work on it with the engine there, I told them how to do it without causing any damage, and they agreed to go forward with the work. They could have refused to work on it until I picked up the engine, and that would have been absolutely fine. Instead, they disregarded my clear warning and broke my engine. I realize it’s not a ton of money, but it’s the principle of it. I really expected these guys to make it right, especially considering how clear cut the situation is.
Bottom line: Do not do business with Woburn Foreign Auto Body – they’re dismissive and they don’t pay attention to detail.

Let’s just say this is the worst experience I have ever had… from getting a rental to the day of pick up just horrible all around. But more importantly is customer service or the lack thereof. I have never dealt with such an ignorant person on the phone (by the way his name is Frank). He told me on two separate occasions that my car would definitely be ready by a certain date and it was totally not the case. And when Frank answered my phone calls, the most response I got out of him was «yup yup yup». I actually called him out on it (if he was yes’ing me to death). I will happily say I will never ever be back to Woburn Foreign Auto thanks to Frank!

I don’t believe that I’m writing a review for an auto body shop.
This is a business that I never want to work with, providing a service that I was hoping to never use. Talk about grudge purchase…
That being said, the folks at WFAB are wonderful. Rhonda at the front desk IS customer service. You know how the service manager at your car dealer gets mad when you call or annoyed when you ask a question… not Rhonda. She calls you back, spends time on the phone, explains everything, and appears to be happy to work there. And she emailed me back every time, solving any issues or questions that came up.
Sure, it took 4 weeks to get my Audi fixed. But I expected that. And the work appears to be flawless. Every day they emailed a photo of the car in progress. Sometimes it was sad (no bumper, a naked engine block, and a missing hood), but a few days later I’d see a paint mask… and then a finished car. Lovely.
Even the pick up was enjoyable. The tech that brought me to my (seemingly new looking) car was proud to show it off. At the dealer I’m lucky to get a smile or a handshake.
I truly hope to never talk to Rhonda or her team again. But, if I get into another fender bender, I have no doubt who I’ll call.

I had my car fixed here a few months back. They said it would take 3 days (yes — that was the actual quote on the phone) — it took 3 weeks. The website they give you was never updated properly. I found them extremely rude — esp. the girls that pick up the phone and feel they tried «selling» extra services that I didn’t need. I just had to get another car fixed and knew I wouldn’t come back here. I went to Keane Auto Body in Woburn and it only took a week (for a job that was a lot worse and larger). They said a week and it literally was a week. I would stay away from this place unless you are fine not having a car for almost a month.

I’ve unfortunately needed to use WFAB twice. Each time, they did an incredible job with my car. They have great customer service (Rhonda is the best!) and send frequent emails with a description and picture of the car during the repair process to keep you in the loop. I just got my car back and while it took a month (I had extensive front end damage), they did a great job with it and I’d rather it get done right the first time around.

I highly recommend this shop. Great work and customer service. Never before have I been sent progress reports and photos of my car from an auto body shop. My 2014 Outback was hit not once, but twice within in a few months, and the car looks brand new again.

WFAB did a great job on my car. I appreciated the email updates and pictures sent periodically. They took care of EVERY detail (my car was damaged from a school bus hit and run) and made the process so easy. I would highly recommend!

Just had my car fixed at Woburn Foreign Auto Body and they did a fantastic job! Really great customer service and attention to detail. I got email updates daily with pictures of the progress on my car, so I knew exactly what was happening. When i got my car back, it looked brand new. Really fast service too, it took less than 2 weeks to fully repair the front of my car. As a bonus, they give you lots of fun free things when you pick up your car! I’ll definitely use Woburn Foreign Auto Body next time my car needs work (which hopefully won’t be soon!)

Woburn Foreign Auto Body did a lovely job repairing and restoring the body work on a much beloved old car. I also went for the detail clean. The car is sixteen years old but when I went to collect it looked like it had just rolled out of the showroom. They even fixed a stuck seat that I had not mentioned as a problem.
Their staff try very hard to keep you abreast of work in progress with multiple photos and daily email reports. They also resolved various issues with phone calls and emails.
A colleague recommended I try them and I am glad I did. Highly recommended.

My husband and I bought our new Camry here in January. I have nothing but good things to say about Mo Naim and the sales team. They were super informative, patient and all around great to deal with. I would give them 5 stars on a separate review.
Just last week we hit a pot hole and brought it in to the service department to get a new tire. We bought the tire warranty when we purchased the car, but there was no record of this in their computer files. Long story short, we got the new tire one week later and it was covered under warranty. The rigamarole we went through in order to get the tire (which we were originally told was not in stock, but actually was) was a big source of frustration to both of us, including many phone calls that weren’t returned and needing to repeat our story from the beginning to each person at every contact point. Most of the employees were very friendly and tried to be helpful: from my observations the poor experience was due to bad management combined with an outdated and inefficient software program.

I’ve used Woburn Foreign Auto Body twice. I have to say the customer service is top notch. I worked with Rhonda both times and she is a superstar. They worked directly with my insurance company so I didn’t have to deal with my car being over $ 3,0000 more in damages than the initial appraisal.
Yes, it takes time. I would rather have it done right than someone slap it together. They send you email updates with photos of the progress. when I got the car back, they had detailed it so it looked brand new. They are also VW Certified.

These folks are AMAZING! They go above, beyond and then some. I had front end damage to my car. The minute my car went in the shop, I started to get daily emails of the status of my car. Not only emails but pictures so I can see the progress. This is my second time coming to this shop. I have had exceptional customer service. Peter my service advisor went above and beyond trying to get my car to me asap. They gave it back to me even better looking than before. Thank you WFAB!

I read the bad reviews but honestly you have to stay involved with the progress, If you have rental car insurance then they take their time. I once had a body shop (Town Auto) do extensive repairs in four days. Woburn Foreign AB fixed my car in two weeks when I thought I had a free rental. Turned out the insurance co decided without informing me that I had to partially pay for the rental which I fought (and eventually won).
If I need a car fixed I always ask how long it will take and let them know if I have alternative transportation. Last week I stopped by Woburn FAB and the guys out back fixed a hood ornament for me in 5 minutes, no charge. How often does that happen?! They do excellent work.

Just got my car back after 1 week short of three months.
That’s THREE MONTHS!
The insurance company paid them all the money up front and WFAB had ZERO incentive to move quickly. While they promised me «regular updates,» I always had to chase them to get the information. They were completely unable to tell me when the car was going to be finished, or deliver it in a reasonable period of time. They had the parts. They had all the cash. They just did not have the customer service or will or interest to do the work in a timely way.
They did a decent job at fixing it. If you have no need for your car for months and months, give ‘em a try. But if you need your car anytime in the next few months, try someone else. Really. You have been warned.

still in progress with dealing with them 2÷13÷08. I dropped my car off 2 weeks ago. I haven’t gotten any updates from them, and they’re supposed to have great customer service. When I went in, the guy kinda blew off my concerns and told me what they were going to do… i was worried more about mechanical damage more than the looks of the car. Its taking forever to fix the car. granted they had to wait to get a supplement from the insurance for the repairs but come on keep me informed the only update i’ve gotten is a phone call from my ins saying the supplement is in… no call from the body ship on what addtional damage they found, whether there’s any mechanical damage or even when the damn car is going to be fixed…3 calls 2 emails later (today) and still no response from them… very frustrating…
update, I got my car back exactly 1 month later, they didn’t even look at why my engine was stalling, and went ahead with $ 700 in repairs I told them weren’t a priority, but they didn’t fix my bumper… so i have a toothless car.
PS the car died, stalled out on the hwy, mechanic (not WFAB) said i’d have to pay a couple grand to take it apart and find out what’s wrong, or pay a couple grand to replace the engine… I now have a redneck lawn decoration…
