Second time in a week! Today for lunch I had the prime rib sandwich with mushrooms and cheese. Holy crap this was amazing! Quiet in the afternoon and beautiful bay scenery. Love it here. The servers are attentive and super friendly. Going to be a regular!

Just had Mother’s Day dinner. We made reservations for 5:15. Didn’t sit until 6:30. Everything was priced over $ 20 but they had run out of many sides. After we had already gotten our main dish, my grandma was waiting for her side. The waitress came over and said they had given away my grandmas side. What?! So they made her order something different. The wine we ordered was vinegar tasting and the bartender argued about it tasting bad. Another bartender was kind and opened a new bottle of the same wine and it tasted better. We were still charged for the wine. Lastly, dessert came and there were two choices. We all ordered desserts and then the waitress came back saying they were all out of one after we had already ordered. The food was ok and the waitress was very nice but if a restaurant can’t manage a larger crowd, don’t allow for that many reservations. We finally got out of there by 8:15.

A great place on the Bay. Twin tornadoes are my favorite food. Great parties in Summer. We often come there by boat or paddle on our kayaks from Sodus Bay yacht club… haven’t been disappointed!

This review is from August 27th. I was so disappointed tonight. I went to Connelly’s with my family to have chicken wings. We were not seated so we sat ourselves. We asked about the chicken wings and the waitress abruptly said that we had to sit at the bar. There was obviously nothing available in the bar area. So then because that was no longer an option we ordered other more pricey meals. Over an hour wait and then very mediocre quality for the price. I will not go there again especially when there are much better restaurants in the area.

The nice ladies at Thorpe Vineyard suggested that we come here for lunch. We had the sea crab soup, made with imitation crab meat, but still good, fried clam strips, and burgers. The food is not fancy, nor is the restaurant, but we really enjoyed our meal. Our waitress was very nice and we had a nice view of the bay.

Horrible service, we had the misfortune of entering this establishment yesterday. They had a waiting list(understandable) and we put our party of 2 on it land informed the host we would wait at the bar. A half hour Later we noticed people being seated and we inquired another hostess pointed at the list and showed us how she had seated people below us on the list already and that she was really busy. At this point she shows us to the small table that had been emptyh for quite some time, where we sat, and sat until we asked a girl how one would go about getting food here. A very bitter waitress shows up and takes our order, I would guess another 40 minutes go by we get food that was not bad not good middle of the road. The waitress avoided all eye contact with us not replenishing drinks ignoring us we left still thirsty. From the door we felt unwelcome.

Every time I come here it’s a trip back in time to when my granddad used to take the family here. We’d take the boat over, he’d walk in and they’d know him by name. It’s gotten the same way with my dad now(except there’s no boat anymore). I Love the Steamed Clams here, the broiled seafood platter as well. The place has always been busy every time I’ve been here, from weekend outdoor entertainment to Friday night dinner and anywhere in between. Yes, there is also boat parking.

If you ever find yourself in Wolcott, NY and near Lake Ontario you must stop into Connelly’s. It was an «old supper club» type atmosphere on the inside. We sat«on the porch» and had great views of the lake — or at least two of us did. One of the lunch specials was perch(either fried or broiled) with tater tots or french fries… yes, I said tater tots and they were FANTASTIC! The fish was really good too. Living in Boston now I miss freshwater fish and this really hit the spot and reminded me of being back home in MN. Someone else got the nachos(topped with homemade chili — yum) and another in our party had the monte cristo which also looked fabulous! Everything here is pretty much homemade, the service is great and the prices were on the spot! The outdoor bar area and water access make me want to be in town on a weekend… it looks like fun! If I ever find myself in Wolcott for business or pleasure I’ll go back to Connelly’s Cove!
