We had a great experience and a delicious meal. 3 adults, a 2 year old, and a 4 month old and we were all made to feel welcome and special. Our waitress was fast, funny, and friendly. The owner was very present making sure everyone’s need were met. We will be sure to return.

I have been back a few times since my first review, and I am just totally addicted. The staff is always really great, the food comes up really fast, and it’s always really delicious.

Newcomb farms is A ok in my book. The omelettes are pretty good(I like the hashlette and the steak) the pancakes are pretty good, especially if you like them fluffy, I haven’t had the lunch yet but the home fries are great! Scrambled eggs are always nice and fluffy and the eggs Benedict are my absolute favorite from this place. Downside is they get pretty busy and sometimes there’s only one server which always sucks.

This restaurant is great! Since my first visit, I have been coming back frequently to try out some of their other menu items. Don’t be surprised if you arrive and see a long line up at the door. It’s a popular place for weekend brunch! If you love a savory meal, their skillets, omelettes and home fries are extremely tasty. For a sweet meal, their banana bread French toast is highly recommended. This place scores a solid 5 on food and price alone. Comfort, décor, and overall experience though could be improved. Coming here on a busy day could eat up a good chunk of your morning/early afternoon. The restaurant and seating is not at all fancy with pretty tight seating. Depending on what you are looking for, this may or may not be the brunch spot for you :).

When I visited Newcomb Farms on a Sunday morning, I was frustrated by the poor service. Our waitress stopped at other tables to check on customers but did not come to our table. We wanted to have our drinks refilled but she never came over to check on how we were doing. Being the only table in our area with people of color at it, I feel that this was a factor in our poor service.

Really bad ventilation and no lighting. Our food came out really late… People who came after us got their food before us. Simple breakfast and it takes 20+ mins for eggs bacon and toast? Idk. Hyped up.

I’ve heard a few people say that this was the best place to grab breakfast in Quincy so when I moved to a new place across the street I was pretty pumped to try it! I was highly disappointed when I brought my brother here because we are both big fans of Wheelhouse. Our waitress was super slow in a very empty place, but whatever… I can deal with that so long as the food is delicious… Well I ordered the a pretty standard breakfast that is my go to. Poached eggs, hash, homefries & rye toast The eggs were way over done. The hash was straight out of a Hormel can The«Griddled potatoes» were just frozen potatoes that were deep fried NOT griddled The toast gets that 1 star I live so close and would love this to be a great place! But it’s not. I’ll just have to walk down the street for my breakfast. PS If you have vertigo don’t go there. The whole restaurant is angled will throw you off.(I felt like I was at the mystery hole in West Virginia(google it)

I don’t get it… I had read and heard lots of good things about Newcomb before coming and was looking forward to expanding my breakfast joint go-to list. I didn’t… On the day we came we had actually lucked out and landed a table pretty quickly on a busy Sunday morning. That’s where our luck began and ended. Our(very nice, but harried) waitress took a very long time to acknowledge us and then to bring us coffee. After deciding what we wanted — we again waited for our waitress(she took so long, we’d finished our coffee). Once our food arrived — we were not impressed either. My omelette was bland and tasteless(needed seasoning big time) and my bf’s over medium eggs were runny and undercooked. We had to ask twice to have our coffee refilled(a huge thumbs down when going out for breakfast). I understand that breakfast places get busy and hectic, but service on this day, while friendly, was severely lacking as was the food. I wouldn’t return.

I love the bustling feel of a busy family restaurant, but the food was disappointing. Huge menu of everything you can want. I ordered the New England breakfast– 4 sausages, two eggs and French toast. I was really craving French toast and wanted to go to L street diner in Southie for their amazing French toast but was too hungry so decided to try this place instead. I was disappointed in the flavor — the eggs were soggy. And the French toast had zero flavor. I was hungry so I forced fed myself but I didn’t find the food that tasty. That being said, the whole thing was $ 7. Cheap and fast if you need a quick meal.

the food here has always been tasty. Most often you can get a table within 5 mins of entering which is a plus. Would have rated higher, but the plates/silverware and the kitchen leave some to be desired in the cleanliness category.

If I have to compare and contrast between the Milton and Quincy location, I can tell you there’s a reason why the Milton location has long lines on weekends. That said, this place is just a no-frills kind of place. The«eat and get out» kind of places. I went early morning from my usual morning walk before work. I had the hot chocolate to warm me up and the corned beef hash skillet to fill my stomach. The corned beef hash was good but it was a little bit on the saltier side for me. My eggs were scrambled and I had the English muffin to go alongside the homefries. The English muffin was nice and fluffy so I made a corned beef hash, homefries and scrambled egg sandwich with ketchup and it was delicious. I finished the meal in one sitting. The breakfast filled me up and it was really hearty. I skipped lunch because of this but it was worth if breakfast is the most important part of the day. I’ll be coming here again for breakfast after my morning walk and will try some other things on the menu. I just wish the waitress didn’t give me the bill while I was still eating. Hence the«eat and get out» thing.

The only reason I’m not giving this place 5 stars is because I’ve only been here twice and only tried the crunchy french toast and steak tips. Buuuuut, assuming everything else is as delicious as these 2 dishes then this place deserves 5 stars. Simple place, great food, do yourself a favor and make a trip out here.

This is your mom and pop breakfast joint! Amazing prices and good home cooked breakfast food! The potatoes are soooooo good! I also love the pancakes! Only bummer is how packed it can be! My husband really loves the New England omelet!

My wife and I have been to the Milton location several times. Today we were in Quincy and decided to try out this location. The two star rating is only for the quality and taste of the food. My wife ordered a hashlette — omelette with side of toast and homefries. She explains that she can’t eat flour, which is in the toast and the homefries are cooked in. Can she substitute some fruit? Sure, you can have a dish of strawberries and blueberries in syrup and banana slices, says Juile A., our waitress. The food comes, including the fruit, we eat it, delicious great. Then we get the bill– there’s an extra charge for $ 1.39 for blueberries and another $ 1.39 for strawberries. Juile A. didn’t mention this extra charge when she said we could get the fruit. Why not just get the fries and toast and then pay for the fruit as an extra so me, husband, can eat the fries and toast? Why not just be curteous, as my wife has an allergy, and do a substitution? It was pretty simple to throw fruit-in-syrup in a dish. We didn’t ask to have a special out-of-the-box meal prepared for us. There was no sign of a manager, so we simply paid our bill with a basic 20% tip and left — we won’t be back to this location. If the management is reading this and wishes to contact me, please do.

This is a tasty breakfast/brunch place in Quincy. It’s small — so call ahead if you have a larger party and need tables put together. Parking can be tough — so carpool if you can. The food is worth it! The«?» is basically a potato skin with eggs, cheese, and bacon on top. Delicious! If you’re looking for healthy options, they have them too — but where’s the fun in that?

I didn’t know what was the hype was about so I decided to go here and give it a try. I came here a couple of times and found the food mediocre. I had the veggie skillet and although the eggs, veggies, and potatoes were not bad, the cheese on top killed it. In the way, I should have asked for no cheese but I didn’t expect them to dump a giant spoonful of nacho-like cheese right on top. I had to eat the ones that were not drenched in cheese, which was rare in this case. The bf ordered steak tips/teriyaki with his eggs and although he’s not usually that picky with food, he didn’t even like it at all and I have to agree. The beef tasted beyond expired and the sauce seems like it was made with beef-flavored tap water. Disgusting and unacceptable. The food was not that cheap too so it was not worth eating here. Over-rated in my opinion. Maybe the other Newcomb Farm in Milton is better, but this was not good at all.

I ordered a steak Benedict(medium) but it came out well done. But I liked it anyways it wasn’t too dry either. I liked the eggs too, the yoke wasn’t too liquidly. The fries are delicious! The restaurant looks old and gets cold in there. The staff was nice and they also do free refills on coffee!

This place is super gross. They use crappy ingredients and eggs from a carton. EW. I did not like one thing about this place. It looks like nana’s house inside, and the one time I went there, nana was trying to run the show by seating everyone. Do not know why there are so many good reviews. YUCK is all I have to say.

You step in the front door and smell home. Maybe it’s your next door neighbor’s grandma’s home in Maine but you have smelled this yumminess before and you can’t wait to be reunited. Cinnamon, butter, coffee, syrup, bacon. …mmmmm It looks like a large parlor with a hutch full of coffee supplies and a tiny kitchen carved out of a faux brick bar. Coffee? Awesome… cups a lil too petite for my liking but Julie keeps em full. She’s tending to the entire dining room by herself and everyone is happy. I decided to step outside my «box» and order something different. Half Order of «The? Breakfast». One deep fried potato skin stuffed with a couple scrambled eggs, cheese, and bacon served with a grilled English Muffin. Which wasn’t quite as exciting as I’d hoped it to be.. but I got my breakfast basics in for $ 5.50…winning! The real treat was the banana bread French Toast. Oh Man… oh man. If you’re dying for French Toast.. don’t get it. But, if you’re in need of a Maine Nana’s hug on a plate — do it! Definitely worth the leap. I’ll be back for more..
