In my opinion, this is the best place to work out in the Woodbridge area. I’ve been a member here for years, and I’ve looked at other options a few times. If you’re looking for a reliable, clean, not too crowded location, you just cannot beat DCRC. I’ll just say I have no interest in chatting with people at the gym. I don’t require a lot of machines. I don’t need personal training. And I don’t have a lot of demands of the locker room. I just want a place where I can work out, not have to wait for machines and not feel skeeved out by other people in the gym. I’ve done some classes here. Both Spin and TRX are great. But mainly I use the weight room which is modest in size, but has the free weight equipment I need. There are certain times of the day that may be busier than others, but I have never been in there and been completely unable to get my workout in fairly easily. The clientele is for the most part very nice and friendly. A lot of older patrons and moms which may be the reason there is a distinct lack of annoying, young meat heads. Also the place looks very old school and outdated compared to L.A. Fitness up the street. The monthly price is reasonable and contracts are only for a year. My only SMALL complaint is with the hours on the weekend. Opening earlier than 8AM on Saturdays would be great for people with families(most of us are on the go with kids stuff by 8AM!). I’ve occasionally been frustrated by their decision to completely close for the day on snow days too. Sometimes it is warranted, but more often than not, a two hour delay to open would be better.

This Review is strictly based upon aerobic activities offered by the club. I’m frequent visitor of a Zumba class offered at DCRC six days a week and an amazing female instructor Sabah. There’re two types of Zumba here – Regular class and Zumba Kick; the latter being my favorite as it incorporates Dancing to the rhythms of the world and kick boxing. Speaking about Sabah, she is truly passionate and creative about her job; no class is the same, so don’t worry about getting bored with your workout routine! She fuses the tunes and moves from all over the world, from Latin American(salsa, merengue, bachata) to Arabic(belly dancing) to Indian and African elements to create a really unforgettable and entertaining workout. Because of such enormous popularity, classes fill up really quickly so try to arrive at least 10 min prior. With Sabah get ready to work your butt off and lose some weight, that’s what’s ultimately happened with me! P. S.4 stars because the club’s facility is dated, needs some renovation
