Michael’s Flowers of Lake Ridge

I placed my order with 1800 Flowers back on Feb 9^th for a delivery for Valentines Day. I order ed the arraignment «Reflections of Love» in large so I paid extra for the flowers and the vase itself. I choose that particular item because it had the flowers I wanted for my wife and the vase to have a meaning. Also, because I didn’t want the usual Roses and clear glass set.
I received my order on the day that was schedule which was probably the only thing right this florist did. They sent a cheap vase made out of plastic and a hint of silver. Dont worry pictures are attached. The vase wasnt even sturdy enough to hold the flowers. The flowers were poorly placed and dint present a nice look of a circle as shown in the picture. Also, the flowers were close to dying.
I contacted 1 – 800 flowers which guaranteed a delivery for the following day ²⁄₁₅ for their 100% Smile and gave me a bonus reward. I get a call from the florist in the afternoon (after I waited all morning for my wife’s replacement saying they will not be able to make it due to bad weather (mind you VA only had about an inch of snow and the roads were pretty clear). Just an excuse to post pone the delivery. When speaking to the florist he tried to tell my wife that he was just going to send the flowers at which point my wife gave me the phone. I explained to the florist that I would really appreciate it if they can send me the vase I paid for which was in the order with the flowers. The florist said yes no problem we will send it to you tomorrow.
Comes ²⁄₁₆ I get a delivery of just the flowers. Not sure if the guy I spoke to understood what I told him but I repeated myself several times to ensure he understood that I wanted my vase that I paid for and not some cheap imitation that you get at a dollar store. Might I add the card that was attached to the flowers looked like it was soaked.
This florist doesn’t care about their customers but just looks to make a few extra dollars by cutting corners. My neighborhood Giant sells healthier and better arraignments than this store. Thanks to Michael’s Flowers I will not be shopping at 1 – 800 Flowers anymore and will not recommend anyone to this Florist.

So I placed an order through FTD on Friday that was supposed to be overnighted to Michael’s and they complete the delivery on Valentine’s Day. Today I call and they stated that FTD messed up the order and was having it delivered next Saturday. Obviously I was irritated as I’m in Los Angeles and just want the Lady in my life to be surprised and have a great day. The gentleman on the phone who I believe is the son or grandson of the owner could sense the despair in my voice. He went out of his way to accommodate and make it up to me. He didn’t have to do this as this wasn’t his fault but he went the extra mile and not only put together 3 dozen roses in an incredible arrangement but he had it delivered for me because I could not be there to get it. This is they type of thing you get with family owned businesses that you don’t get from the larger chains. They have forever earned my business and can’t thank them enough because I would have looked like a jerk if I did nothing and they made me look like a hero once they brought them into her work as she was floored. Thank You again for the first class service you have this customer for life!

Michael’s has never let me down. Their exemplary service and excellent quality always come thru for me.

Love this place. Got a great little spot and looks good. Staffs are very friendly. If you want a great arrangement for wedding or just for looks this place will be great for any and any events.

I stopped in this shop with a day and a half notice for my aunts funeral spray. The kind woman who helped me steered me in the right direction and took several of my interpretations and brought them to life. For $ 150 we had a show stopping spray that would have made our loved one proud. Thank you for the beautiful work!

Ugh, I wish I had read the reviews on here before ordering. The arrangement I selected offline looked nothing like what was delivered and was significantly smaller! I paid for the «better» option and it did not match the description. I would be fine it it were just the color that was off, but the actual size and amount of flowers didn’t even come close! Probably won’t order from here again.

I chose this florist because of the positive Unilocal reviews, but I must say I was very underwhelmed.
The good: They have a well-​organized shop with plenty of stuff that you might want to add on to a typical purchase of flowers. I was able to quickly pick up some flowers for my wife and even had the vase placed in a convenient box for transport.
The bad: I’m a big proponent of a positive customer experience, and based off the previous reviews for this business that’s exactly what I was expecting. Unfortunately, I did not experience that during my visit to their store.
I entered the store and immediately walked to the back where the counter was located (I could see two employees talking to each other). I stood at the counter for 20 – 30 seconds before either acknowledged me or even made eye contact. I got the impression from the gentleman who did finally address me that I was more of a nuisance than anything else.
I told him I was looking for some flowers for my wife because it was our anniversary. He directed me to the display case where they had some pre-​made arrangements. I was hoping for a little bit of assistance and maybe a recommendation. If I just wanted to pick up some standard flowers I would have gotten them at the grocery store!
Maybe I caught him on a bad day, but I won’t be returning to Michael’s based on the first impression I got after visiting.
Three out of five for the nice flowers but lack a positive customer service delivery.

What an amazing experience! After my order fell through at the last minute with another local florist, I quickly called Michael’s from I95 on my way to a funeral at 11 a.m. They were extremely helpful and were able to put together a beautiful bouquet all within 30 mins of my call. I arrived at the church and my flowers were already sitting there — more beautiful than I could have asked. Thank you so much for going above and beyond. Highly recommended.

Excellent experience! I live in San Diego and called yesterday for a delivery today. They delivered a beautiful bouquet even nicer than what I saw online, with reasonable pricing, and they even have a military discount! Will definitely use again!

Always walk in to get flowers here love their arrangements. Even when i buy just one flower they make it look awesome. Bought this vase and 2 flowers recently and Christian made it look beautiful while giving me great customer service. My husband gets me arrangements frim here for special occasions n never been disappointed.

There is no email address on their website, so I guess I’ll need to post here. I live in California and need a trustworthy florist in the area for my Mom’s flowers. Unfortunately, Michael’s does not appear to be that business. I purchased a premium version of a design, but what was delivered was barely the basic level. I posted a picture, and I do hope I hear from them. Order #121 ⁴²⁸⁄₁

Follow-​up. I was able to email the store a picture showing the disparity between what was ordered and what was created. They claimed not to see very much difference in size — ridiculous! — tho they did admit that the color was not consistent (due to substitutions, which I understand). To their credit, they offered a to replace the flowers, which I declined.

Michael’s is my «go-​to» florist for buying flowers locally, but not after what I experienced with them this Valentine’s Day. I had ordered flowers for my fiancé and asked that they be delivered Valentine’s morning (while I was out), so I could surprise him. I was told at the time that they could not guarantee delivery at a specific time on Valentine’s Day, but they would try to since I was a repeat customer. I told them what I wanted, paid for the flowers and noticed that my card was charged.
Valentine’s Day — No flowers arrived in the morning, no flowers arrived in the afternoon, no flowers in the evening — Nothing!
Thanks goodness I had an additional gift and cards to give my sweetheart, or Michael’s would have ruined Valentine’s Day for me.
The following business day, I walked into the store and asked why the flowers were not delivered. I was told by the counterperson that it was because there was an error in the system with my credit card and that they called and left a voicemail (not true). I was also told to check my credit card activity and that it should show as a pending charge (not true, because I had already checked and charge posted), which I indicated to the counterperson in the store.
I told the counterperson that all I wanted at this point, since it was totally pointless to send Valentine’s Day flowers 2 days afterwards, was to just credit back the charge to my card. The counterperson told me that they would inform the store manager that the charge needs to be credited back and they would call me.
2 days later, no call and no credit back to my card. Finally, I had to call my credit card company and explain to them what happened and disputed the charge.
Sorry Michael’s that you had to loose a long time customer over your incompetence.

I received «just because» roses. They are open, fresh and very fragrant! Pretty greenery fills in complimenting — not over-​powering the roses. A lovely arrangement.

I decided to purchase flowers for my wife after a rough week. I fired up Unilocal and search for the highest ranked florists within my commute route. This is how I came across this florist.
After a smalll detour, I end up in their establishment. Nice decorum and ambiance. I rang the bell on the service desk as I heard some ramblings in the back room. One of the staff members welcomed mem I gave him some parameters and he quickly gave me ideas on what I could purchase. We reached an agreement and he headed out back to work. After some time, aanother young man came out and updated me in the progress and asked me additional questions about my purchase and its transportation. Some time after, he comes out with the arrangement, a custom box for transport, and a couple of card holders.
The staff was curteous and well mannered. They were on task and did not waste time on random banter, unless you engage them in it. The shop is clean, well organized, and appeared to be well stocked with their perennials (tulips for spring). The first impression is the one that counts and they are awesome.
Support this business. They deserve it. And thank you for a pleasant shopping experience.
They are now my go to place for flowers.

Wonderful customer service, tasteful designs and a great selection of fresh flowers and gifts. They’ve always gone the extra mile whenever I’ve called in from CA, and my Mom (who’s local) won’t use anyone else. Highly recommend!

My husband went to Michaels to pick up a bouquet of flowers for our anniversary. He had them make it up so he could take it home that day. He specifically told them my favorite color was purple. When I arrived home and found the most beautiful bouquet of purple flowers and greenery. There were also beautiful lilies, carnations, and a few roses. It was absolutely stunning and I couldn’t be happier. The flowers are fresh, long lasting, and smell beautiful. This is definitely my favorite place to both get flowers and give them.

Their flowers are beautiful and the customer service spectacular. My husband has gotten me some amazing arrangements and they are unique and last a long time. Highly recommend!
