In April of 2002 William Barr and Michael Strmac founded Universal Windows Direct. With only three thousand dollars to their name; the two friends set out on a journey by knocking on doors while locating customers that wanted superior products at a fair price. Today, you could say their work has paid off.

Universal Windows Direct of Central NJ was established in April of 2006 by Doug Connner of Scotch Plains, NJ. It was his mission to open a home improvement company that offers high quality home improvement goods at factory direct prices. What began as two guys in a 350 square foot office quickly grew to become one of the nation’s leading remodeling companies. Today, Universal Windows Direct represents thousands of customers and has a rapidly growing dealer network with locations nationwide all of which are actively involved in the communities they serve.
