Aire Blow Dry and Color Bar

Best blowout I’ve ever had. I have very fine, thin hair. Maria respected my request for lots of volume and she was able to achieve this without a curling iron (seems like many hairstylists insist on using a curling iron in my hair). My hair is now bouncy and shiny, thanks to Maria’s awesome skills. I’ve been to many of the blow dry chains from which I emerged with so-​so, meh (as in no better than what I could do myself if I really tried), or bad results.

Got just an ok blow out nothing exceptional especially when they charge $ 38 for a blow out which is rather expensive. My salon which is not open on Sunday’s charges 35 and much nicer blow out

Upon seeing all of the great reviews, I decided to come here for a blowout before a wedding. I asked for a regular blowout, nothing fancy. I get blowouts several times a month and I have extremely thick, curly hair. so I am a blowout expert.
Maybe I just had bad luck, because my blowout was very «eh.» It wasn’t the worst blowout I’ve ever had, but I could have gotten the exact same result if I did it myself (and I am not great at blowdrying hair). I knew I was in trouble when I saw her pull out the flat iron. When someone has no idea how to blowdry curly/​thick hair, they always flat iron at the end to try to make up for the fact that they blowdryed themselves into a poofy, frizzy corner.
Maybe I will try this again with a different stylist. she was really nice, but nice doesn’t tame my unruly locks :)

I’m torn between writing a great review and writing a bad one. I went to Aire on a Friday and then again on a Saturday because I had a wedding that had two events. My varied experiences are broken down below.
** 5 STARS** for Nimrah, who did my makeup on Friday for the event! She took her time, made me look beautiful and was pleasant to chat with for the hour. I really felt like I got what I paid for! She is definitely worth booking if you have a special event and want to look glam.
**3 STARS** for Anjelica, who did my hair on Saturday. She did an «OK» job. I wasn’t totally blown away but I didn’t hate it.
**1 STAR** for my hairwasher, who didn’t even realize that I paid for the 24 Karat service, which is supposed to include a 10 minute massage (lasted 1 minute) and a special mask, which I had to remind her to do. DON’T waste your money.
**0 STAR** for the receptionist, Jessica, who was rude when I checked out and made me feel like I was doing HER a favor by coming to Aire. She couldn’t even crack a smile when I entered and just pointed to the make up station when I arrived.
There are plenty of places to get a good blowout in Woodbury. I’m not convinced this place is worth your money. For makeup, I would 100%% go to Nimrah!

Take $ 30 flush it down the toilet and do your own hair. I went on my birthday for a ‘nicer than i could do’ look for the evening. I arrived early for my appointment and had to stand and wait while my hairdresser loudly complained about how busy she was. There are places to sit, but they were taken by some woman’s coat and bag so all the rest of us waiting had to stand. The shampoo was awesome, high quality product used. The woman put a ton of product in my hair and had it blown out in 15 min (supposed to take longer and use a flat iron or curling iron — used neither but i did pay for it) Then I questioned if it would hold and she said, «If i spray it enough it will» After she loudly complained about how hot it was in the salon. Well, she was wrong — it barely held long enough for me to get home! Total disappointment would not recommend !

I have been going weekly for almost a year. The girls that work in woodbury all have a great attitude and have never been anything less than professional. They want you to leave happy with your hair and really take the time to make sure that you are satisfied. I look forward to my weekly pampering at aire and the fact that I rarely have to try and do my own hair.

I had a great experience at AIRE recently. It was my first time going and I was immediately impressed with how friendly the staff is, how clean and pretty the place is, and how great it smells. Christina was my stylist that day and she helped me decide what to do to my hair. I got a 10 minute scalp massage and hair conditioning treatment — I felt like I was in heaven. When I sat down to get my hair done, I was offered a mimosa — what a nice touch ! I can’t wait to go back. I was so happy with the finished product and got a million compliments on my hair throughout the night!
I highly recommend this place!!!

I had the most amazing experience at Aire today! My blowout was amazing, the staff was so sweet during my entire visit — I felt like I was on a mini vacation. If you are looking for a great place to have your hair done weekly, or for your next event, this salon is a must. Tip– treat yourself to the scalp massage. You won’t be sorry!

I just left AIRE and can’t wait to go back again. I had the most wonderful experience. From the extra scalp massage, conditioning treatment to the most gorgeous blow out I’ve ever had. Mel consulted with me before she started my blow out and made sure the final result was exactly what I was looking for. Five stars for AIRE!

I found this blow out service through Unilocal as I was coming out to Long Island for a wedding. As the mother of the groom I came here for 2 consecutive days, one for rehearsal dinner and wedding blow out on wedding day.
As far as blowout, it is mediocre and I’ve had better blowouts as the stylists here rely too heavily on curling irons instead of the blow dryer. I don’t think they’ve been trained enough.
In addition, I also had a makeup session which was disappointing. You are better off to go make an appointment at MAC and buy $ 50 worth of cosmetics and get a professional makeover than paying $ 70 for a very amateurish job. She did not put concealer or primer on my face until I requested and then she said the moisturizer served as the primer. But every makeup artist worth her salt knows that concealer is the most important step and if I was paying for a professional job, I would certainly want that and a primer to hide imperfections. Do not use their makeup artist, it’s a complete waste of money.

I love so many things about Aire.
1) Everyone that works here is NICE!
2) The prices are more than fair for the quality service you get

This is a great place to get a blowout with quality products and outstanding talent!

I am writing this on behalf of my wife who goes here once a week for a blow out before our «date night». She comes out of this place looking glamorous, gorgeous and confident. She loves that the blow out lasts 2 – 3 days and keeps all its «bounce» she says. I like it because it makes her happy. Happy wife, happy life.

I love this idea. It’s so simple, yet a much needed service.
My appointment was booked for early Saturday morning as I had a special event to attend that afternoon. The day before, I received a text confirming my appointment… impressive! Upon arrival, I was politely greeted, jacket hung up, and immediately offered a beverage. The décor is modern and extraordinarily calming. My stylist introduced herself, we discussed my objectives, and I was even provided a digital lookbook on their iPad… again, impressive! What was really great, was that after the blow out… my stylist then took her iron out to create sexy barrel curls (all part of the blow out, it’s not extra!!!).
I felt really pampered and it was one less thing I had to worry about that day. They had me in and out in less than an hour! Definitely will return again.

I was beyond excited to find Aire Blow dry bar. I first found them at Walt Whitman and the girls there were not very friendly. I asked if they had any last minute openings for the next morning and she said nope with attitude. I went home and googled them just too check the store out anyway. And to my surprise they had another location!!! Which was closer to my house!!!
I made an appointment online which was super easy! And the fact that they open so early was a blessing! I hade a baptism to attend that afternoon! I had Ronnie who is the girl you need to see! She was fast and my hair looked amazing! Oh and the curls stayed for another 2 days!!!
The place is really clean! Comfy chairs and very nice staff!
Only down side was I also booked my Mom online right after me, and there was a small glitch in the system, it added her as a new client but didn’t schedule her appointment. But without a blink of an eye Ronnie took care of her right after me! And her hair was also amazing!
I now live in Cali otherwise I would buy the bundle they offer, hopefully my mom does it! I will be coming back every time I visit home!

There’s been tons of times I’ve gotten great haircuts and color at very expensive salons– but they often have a difficult time getting my very long, dry, curly hair to look smooth and straight with blowouts or getting my curled styles to not look stiff and child like– so needless to say, I am always worried about forking over my money when I get my hair styled at a salon. After a long day of shopping and running errands, I realized I was running out of time to get ready for my HS reunion so I popped into Aire and Nicole said that she would be able to get me in right away. I figured that their prices are so reasonable, that it was worth the shot to try them out. Richie was such a doll and a total magician with my crazy hair. He used a straightening iron to curl my hair and I have never seen my hair have such beautiful curls while also being smooth– THIS.NEVER.HAPPENS! My style lasted for 3 days and I had to force myself to wash it on the 4^th day! I’m getting married in September and my bridesmaids and my mom and MIL will be getting their hair and makeup done at Aire! Can’t wait!

Stylists are extremely nice, but the blowout was terrible. I had to go home and redo my hair before attending my event. I will not waste my money on a service here again.

I found two problems when I went here for a blow out… firstly, they don’t have rubber molding around the sink where you put your neck when you have your hair washed and the constant pounding when my hair was washed left me with a bruise at the nap of neck the following day AND, they don’t provide capes so my sweater was drenched. Two details that are important when you’re just getting your hair washed and then blown out… we’re not even talking about cutting the hair.
