Specialties
Dr McLeod specializes in working with teens & adults struggling with many challenges including depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, terminal illness, complicated grief, chronic pain, autism spectrum disorders, and other disabilities that interfere with daily living. When she works with couples and families, she focuses on improving relationship communication skills so that family members can solve problems more effectively. With teens and adults struggling with the social and emotional challenges of autism spectrum disorders, Dr. McLeod helps people identify the ways that this particular way of being in the world is both a strength and a challenge, and then identifies specific skills to be learned. In addition to her work directly with clients on the autism spectrum, Dr. McLeod works with parents of children, teens and young adults as they struggle with the unique challenges of parenting a child with developmental disabilities or chronic mental illness.
