Love this place. Fav restaurant. Staff great and the food is superb. Coke always fresh and fizzy as well, which is very important ;) omg the chips and salsa is divine and we always leave satisfied with full tummies. Plus I always admire the ambience and décor… So colorful and warm.

Wasn’t that long of a wait. I ordered the Tex Mex enchiladas 11.49 — They were just okay… It’s spot that’s caught my eyes for months(I think it’s the colors) however I was just okay I won’t be back

Such a waste of a nice facility. I am really not that hard to please, when it comes to Mexican fare. However, this place was sooo disappointing! Food was just bland, & that’s not good, especially when Mexican food is NEVER supposed to be BLAH?! Service was okay & place was clean, but I definately made 2 trips in! 1st&LAST!

The Blue Margarita is one of my favorite places to eat in the downriver area. The food is awesome and the staff is very friendly. The food arrives quickly which I like. Try their chimichangas. They’re the best !!

I’ve been here twice. The first time was many years ago, I don’t remember what food I ordered, I just remember that it was terrible which is why I didn’t go back for a long time. I gave it another chance though, and this time ordered a simple chicken quesadilla — an item I usually enjoy eating from any restaurant, so I figured ordering it at a Mexican, it may even be better. I was so wrong. It was awful. It was the worst chicken quesadilla I have ever had. I didn’t even finish it. I would have much preferred going to Taco Bell and ordering one. I didn’t have a drink, but my friend did and said it was good. Can’t save this rating, though. I will never go back unless I get out-voted in a group of people.

Came to the Blue Margarita with my family, about 12 people, to celebrate Xmas. My cousin was able to call the day before and make a reservation. They had our table ready right on time. On top of that, the dining room was decked out in some amazing Xmas décor. They even had Santa available for pics! Now, I don’t have kids but I imagine it would be easier and a bit more fun for everyone to come here and take phone pics with Santa. Also, it’s free! The food was also delicious. I had the tacos, I subtracted tomatoes and added cilantro and even with such a big group, they still got my order perfect. The salsa here is to die for, our table surely went through at least a gallon of the stuff. I really appreciate the staff and amazing service we got here. Thanks for a great experience.

Great food, great service. Always have a good meal when we go. Staff always seems to be in a good mood. Mexican sandwich is my favorite.

New to this area and were looking for a good Mexican restaurant. First time we went, service was OK, food was OK. Took a guest and our sons back and were treated so poorly by the female server that we won’t go back. She acted as if we were annoying her. Didn’t smile, just wanted her tip and be done. Got two of the same drinks and they didn’t even look close to the same in color alone. The food is average, but since the service is so bad, we won’t go back.

Okay, we go here occasionally. The food is okay and the service is always rushed. You do feel like a number, it is very impersonal. As far a Mexican associated food goes this is one of the better down river Mexican places.

I brought my cousins from California here… I have had great service in the past, but this time was not very good… Food was not as good as it usually is… Manager was not very accommodating as one of the dishes was wrong… No apology, just«this is the way it is…» Deciding whether to ever go back… My whole family says they won’t…I’m on the fence…

If you’re in the downriver area and don’t feel like making the trip to Mexican Town in Detroit I would suggest Blue Margarita. The place is clean inside and the service is decent. The location is great as well. There are tons of shops around like Marshall’s, Home Goods, Ulta, Pet Co, Wal-Mart, Target etc. You are greeted with chips and salsas(hot, mild or both). I’ve had larger portions of chips served, but if you do run out and would like more they are more than happy to provide you with such. The chips are good and the salsa is excellent. As for the entrees I can speak on the Bontana appetizer and the Chimichangas. Both are very good and flavorful. The Chimichangas are made with a flour tortillas instead of corn, which I personally prefer. The portions are generous and the meat is juicy. Nothing tasted dry or stale. I ordered jalapeño’s on the side which just as an FYI were an additional .50 cents. The rice and beans are also tasty. I have had flavor-less rice at some restaurants and this establishment is not one of them. My mother ordered the seafood Enchiladas which she had no problem polishing off. When I am in that area again I would definitely stop in to Blue Margarita if I was craving Mexican cuisine.

My boyfriend and I didn’t want to drive out far and we had never been here before. Being Mexican I do not like eating Mexican. Nothing ever satisfies my tastebuds for Mexican than when I’m actually in Mexico. I started off with an original margarita. It took like 10 minutes to get it but it was busy so whatevs. Like another reviewer said the margaritas didn’t have too much alcohol in it. I don’t want to be a schtickler but for a place called Blue MARGARITA, I really expected really cool margarita glasses or something. Blah, cheap margarita glasses and white straws. On to the appetizer, my bf started with a shrimp quesadilla. The quesadilla didn’t seem too big but going into it t was very filling for 2 people. The shrimp was marinated deliciously and cooked well! This was the only good tasting item. My boyfriend ordered the hamburger(blah I know!) he wasn’t impressed and didn’t finish the fries there was no pickle either. I know it’s a Mexican restaurant but geez don’t put it on your menu if it’s gonna completely suck. I ordered the enchiladas Suizas which I’ve been craving because I love green sauce. I was terribly disappointed the sauce was watered down and just not the right flavor. The cheese was okay. The beans were standard and not impressed with the rice. We probably will not be coming back here again. I’m not sure how people come here over and over again. Then again there is not much to choose from in this area. Do yourself a favor and head over to El Dorado on Telegraph Rd nearby. Also, I wanted to add that it is $ 1.00 for a mustard/ketchup cup of JALAPENOS. What the ?!

It reminds me a lot of Chi Chis, but better. Great atmosphere, very colorful place and if u have a birthday? I recommend u to ask for their celebration they give u. My kids loved it with the maracas and Mexican hat. The sombrero hat they actually give u to keep as seen in the pictures. The food was as expected for a Mexican restaurant. I had the tamales and they were great. Lil pricey, it seems that your paying for the atmosphere but the staff can be happier. They were just ok.

First time eating at this restaurant. We ordered the specialty Lime margaritas(1800 anejo) frozen. It was NOT a margarita. No lime flavor. It was sweet and tasted more like a piña colada. Waitress said it the tequila. We sent it back and got the classic house lime margarita. Again, nothing like a lime margarita. It tasted good for a piña colada or some other fruit flavored daquari and not a lot of alcohol either. We ordered mixed fajitas, plenty of food, the chicken and steak were seasoned and had a good flavor. When asked if we wanted cheese on fajitas, I said no, because it was muenster cheese? Menus were sticky. The waitress was nice and friendly. Only real complaint was our drinks.

Loved every minute of our visit. The food, staff, everything was fantastic. I was looking for some hotter salsa, they did not have any so the waitress made me some special salsa. Yes it was HOTTT! Kids enjoyed the décor and the Ambiance was very cool. Very family friendly. Great for groups and small personal dinning.

After looking at the menu and seeing that Blue Margarita is part of the Los Galanes family of restaurants, I was very excited. Then my excitement turned into disappointment. When our food came out, it smelled burnt. Overall, the food was below okay. The food was cold and small. The biggest gripe I had was that the waitress was sick. She sounded stuffy and you could tell she was blowing her nose a lot. I don’t go to Trenton often and when I do return, I won’t be going back to Blue Margarita.

I don’t write reviews often… but this horrific meal compelled me to speak up. We had dined at Blue Margarita a year ago and had an amazing experience. We decided to stop again yesterday and thought we had the wrong restaurant. Maybe they are under new management… whatever. Simply put this was the worst meal… Mexican or otherwise that I can remember. The furnishings seems worn and dated… and our order was simple; three«original tacos» and a Chimichanga. The waitress although helpful could not explain how there tacos were made. They came deep fried and each one had about two tablespoons of grease running out of each. Also the salsa was very bland; my Chimichanga tasted«burnt» and the beans and rice were cold and looked like they were pre-made. Whatever happened we were so unimpressed we left the food uneaten, paid the bill… left a tip and ran for the door. I hope that management reads this because they were a great restaurant at one time!

I have always had good meals and good service here. The flaming cheese is one of my favorite dishes and they have good guacamole. I’ve had a few different things on the menu but especially enjoyed the chicken tacos. They have good margaritas that sate decently priced. They have really good takeout. They have a window setup for you to walk in and pickup the take out. I have used this on multiple occasions and its been great every time.

I visited Blue Margarita for lunch today and have to say that for the price you pay the food is really good! Sure, they use ice berg lettuce and go a little light on meat, but my entire lunch plate cost $ 5.99 and included two mini chicken tostadas with beans, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream, all with beans and rice on the side. I paid a little extra for avocado and it was worth it. Based on my expectations after looking at the price, this food was a good value.
