Thanks for the great work. Went to get my radio fixed/​boost guage installed they did a great job in a timely manner.

Great response time on Unilocal Messages. Got me in as soon as I walked in. My car has an issue with trying to install an aftermarket head unit but after a short discussion with Nelson, they got started on the job. In and out in less than an hour and ON a holiday! Where else can you get service on a holiday for such a fair price?
Will definitely go back for more work.

I’ve gone to these guys with 3 different cars for 3 different reasons, and each time they surprise me with the fix and solution they come up with. Prices are very reasonable (I’ve went to get quotes from other installers to do the same work).
Works I’ve done with them includes installing and custom fitting an escort radar setup. They custom cut a piece to fit the mute button for my car and make it seems seamless and factory.
I’ve also done a backup camera /​front camera install and again made it look factory!
I definitely recommends these guys and will go back again!

Feel sorry for Andrew D. I had a totally different experience at New York Sound And Security. These guys are efficient in every way, cheap prices and swift service. I brought today an alarm that I had bought elsewhere and they convinced me that it wasn’t a good name brand which I agree because I only paid $ 100 for it, so I decided to invest in something good and thank God, because everything is smooth sailing since I left. I would recommend them anytime and would go back in a heart beat…

These guys are the best! Needed a line level converter for a Bose audio integration. They found a used one in the back and threw it in for free with the other stuff I bought. Excellent customer service. Thank you.

Horrible service they sell you crap that doesn’t last and then even when you bring shit back they give you the run around I would not recommend this place total ripoff SMH

Brought my Audi A6 here for radio installation.
Quoted me $ 120 ok started! 20 mins later — I needed a plug that cost $ 30 bucks — ok went ahead. Tab -$ 150 — I asked to add a small led light I had to the radio — $ 20 (just attach a positive and negative wire) ok tab $ 170 — guy came to the back and said $ 20 doesn’t include installation.
Ok $ 20 because the glue was $ 50 a bottle
(not my problem) ok new tab $ 190
Led never worked !!! The radio has a beeping constant sound. The idiot added a filter — no good. Now the antenna is crackling (noise)
I pulled out the radio from the dash. Discovered the guy who installed didn’t even wire the volume wires or the «illuminate» wires!
I carried it back. Showed the owner or manager.
He didn’t care. He complained how it was an aftermarket radio !
So in the end $ 190 — radio has a constant beep to it, radio doesn’t light up, radio has static, no volume control.
I guess he wanted $ 20 extra for each item above !

Told me bring it by next week, his men will have to find the factory amplifier and hard wire it to his asshole! Then the radio should work fine.

If it was the owner who I spoke to, dude you should sell the business now or file for bankruptcy cause this isn’t the way you handle customers! There’s a line of audio and sound on Atlantic Ave. I choose to go to your place because Of the reviews online and initial confrontation ! But in the end it’s all about a 1,2,3 wire up radio and f*** the customer needs!
Light I paid $ 40 don’t work
Radio I paid $ 150 beeps constantly and static
Will not recommend. Won’t wish you bad cause I’m not racist or a bad person like you

One of the best if not the best sound and alarm shop out here in Queens. Prices are very fair and the welcoming environment alone has made me a proud customer. The employees here are honest people and even during closing hours they took their time to make sure my car was spotless and excellent after the remote start installation. I would like to thank Nelson and his co-​workers on the amazing job they did on my 02 Accord. Gracia Primo!!!

Service was prompt, fast and on point. These guys are knowledgeable in what they do and I recommend their service for all audio and security needs for your vehicle.

I went to the shop on 12÷31÷15 to get my GPS unit and backup camera installed. It took only two hours for the technician to install it for me which I was pleasantly surprised it took this quick. However, after installation I had noticed my left tail-​light signal started acting up, it was flickering rapidly. At first I didn’t think much of it and just assumed he had adjusted the speed of the clicker. When I got home I started googling more and I found out my taillight stopped working completely. Another instance with the technician, I had asked him to hook up the Bluetooth to my iphone, he was not able to so I just told him to forget it and that I will figure it out myself later. The next day when I was driving home, a stranger pointed out that my tail-​light blinker is not working (no wonder no one is letting me switch to left lanes). I took it to my usual auto-​mechanic to inspect it, he found out that the technician did not even bother connecting the cable after installing my backup camera. Luckily, it was not anything major and he was able to connect the cable for me free of charge.
I emailed the owner Nelson about this and he apologized. He was really helpful in helping get this fixed and even offered me troubleshooting on a tiny glitch on my GPS unit. Hence, the minus 1 star, not his fault just due to inexperience/​carelessness of the technician that had installed it for me.
I would suggest if you’re going to this shop for any AV installation for your car, ask for Nelson. I wouldn’t trust any other technician there next time.

The people here are great, worked on my BMW & maxima with radio installation & subwoofer install, as well as put in some speakers, prices are kinda high but well worth it.

Just as it says, «as good as it gets». The place has best prices, the staff works with you to get you exactly what you want and looking for. Took great care of my vehicle, fast, clean job. Felt as if I gained friends. Definitively a go to for all my car needs.

I received excellent service! Everyone was very nice and professional. I have an old car that is in good condition. My daughter is in college and I don’t have a lot of money to spend on a sound-​system. They installed a very good used system on the spot and the estimate was true to form. No $$ surprises which I really appreciate. I trust these guys and will go back in the future. Recommended!

Came for a rear camera which was installed but half of the screen was occupied by my car’s bumper and plate. Took most than a month to replace it because they were always «busy» althought we paid in advance the entire amount. they tried other cameras but the visual was always awful. They are the «experts» so I expected them to know better. Awful customer sevice that made me regret coming here in the first place! The cherry on the cake was the owner saying «you have serious problem» because we didnt like the installation. We never insulted anybody, where is the respect the customers deserve!!!

Listen, I’m just a dumb white boy from Bushwick and I needed a new stereo that I had bought on Amazon installed in my car. I saw that the Unilocal reviews for this place were good, so I called ahead, was assured I didn’t need to make any kind of appointment, and drove down.
Sure enough, they were busy but I was helped almost instantly. Someone walked out to my car with me to look over my set up. It was explained to me I also needed a new tuner for my Sirius XM radio (I never would have known that) and they had one on hand that was a perfectly reasonable price. The whole thing was very affordable and only took about an hour. I just chilled out at the Burger King down the street. Came back, everything was explained to me, paid up and left. But if I ever need car audio help again, I’m coming back here!

Edwin is awesome! They tinted the windows on the BMW and they installed a DIN! Finally got the Beemer upgraded!
Even if you’ve been told that other places cannot or will not do it. These guys will and they will do it the right way. If something comes up they speak to you and give you good options. If they don’t have it on hand they will go get it to complete the project for you!
I will be going back with the charger to put in the alarm!

I did alot of research about the different remote start systems and installation shops. I came to New York Sound & Security bc of the great reviews. They didnt disappoint.
— Nelson took the time to explain to me the pros and cons of the different Viper Remote Start systems out there. With all the info and the deal that Nelson gave me, I went with the Smart Start system.
— I was skeptical about relying on my iPhone and ViperApp bc of the poor reviews. But the app has worked 100% of the time and I can start my car and check on the status from anywhere. I will be back for a roof rack installation on my RDX. Extremely happy w the customer service and remote start!

These guys are great. My husband had them put in a new radio/​GPS/​bluetooth/​dvd in our Acura MDX and it was a custom job but it came out great. They also did our alarm to our mini van and did a great job. Thanks Nelson and friends for the excellent work.

Shop employee Parked my car on the street and it was hit by an unidentifiable car. Installation was mediocre, amp switches not configured correctly and tweeter fell to the floor but the shop fixed it the second time around with hot AND cold glue. ²⁄₅ stars, would not visit again.
