I get my bikini waxes done here and I am always happy with the positive customer service experiences as well as the cleanliness of the spa. Not to mention this place is the least painful waxing experience. Magic! shout out to Chelsey for a great wax and was fun to chat with.

Great experience overall. This location is open pretty late, and I was able to come in for a waxing appointment at 8 o’clock at night. The receptionist was attentive to my arrival, and gave a warm welcome, as well as an offer of water.
My esthetician, Chelsey, did a fabulous job with my waxing service; she was both incredibly professional and social, on top of being expedient.
I was in and out in less than an hour, and the staff didn’t relay any impression of trying to rush me out the door, despite me being the last customer.

Had a great experience for my first facial from Jaclyn, she taught me a lot about my skin and was so sweet, I definitely want to see her again!
My manicure on the other hand was just ok… Nothing special.

Rebecca does a fabulous job! I see her regularly for waxing. She’s very nice and always does a great job. She’s quick, (I hate it when a bikini wax takes very long) and she is always on time, very pleasant to talk to. She is very knowledgeable about products, and she’s never pushy. I have been a client for over two years and I will continue to recommend her!
Front staff is always polite and the entire place is CLEAN! Huge plus for me, I work in the industry and know what to look for.

I got here for the peptide facial. I do like the facials for the most part, except the last time I was in the technician spent most of the time trying to sell me their products or other facials. It was not relaxing at all. Normally they do a sell at the end to see if you need products etc. which is understandable, but not through the whole session. It’s supposed to be relaxing isn’t it?

I adore Woodinville InSpa! I live on the Eastside and so have been to both the Bellevue and the Woodinville locations– but now always go to the Woodinville which is actually a bit further for me to travel, but well worth the extra distance. I’ve experienced several different services from waxing, mani/​pedis and facials– and I have never been disappointed!
Special shout out and recognition to Patti who greets me at the front desk with professionalism, stellar customer service and a friendly smile and greeting! Having that type of greeting and experience right when I walk into the Spa immediately de-​stresses me and sets the tone for the service I am getting. She’s a Keeper!

Decided to get my legs, bikini and brows waxed and thought I’d try inSpa since it was nearby and their prices were pretty reasonable. Christine drew the short straw and got me and I am forever grateful. She is absolutely fantastic at waxing even though she is a liar and should be a dominatrix with the amount of pain she inflicts. She’ll tell me it’s not going to hurt all that much and just as I let my guard down, RRRIIIIIIPPPP!!! Oh the pain… If she weren’t so darn adorable, I’d probably kick her in the face but she’s just way too sweet and cute to wish her any harm. It’s hard to believe I pay for this kind of pain but I am sooooo glad I found her to do it. She really knows her stuff and works with you to get whatever you want done.

InSpa contacted me to make up for my previous visit. I opted for a 60-​minute massage. I loved my massage therapist Megan so much that I asked to extend this to 90 minutes.
The room temperature was perfect. Bed was heated. The head rest was on the big side but workable. The noise level was good: you could not hear any conversations and traffic from the area outside. Even during the music pause, you could not hear anything.
Now let’s get down to the important stuff: I could tell that Megan was experienced after the first 10 minutes. Deep tissue massage I asked for and I got that! I suspect that she used to own a fitness center helps! She is a walking ad for health and fitness: she is toned and obviously very fit. Some therapists will massage generally and that is all they do. I prefer someone who truly knows her muscle groups and is more focused. Megan really took the time to understand my problem areas and addressed them all.
Other therapists might also spend more time using compression techniques. Megan took the time to find a balance between compression and massage stretching.
Final clincher is that she showed me exercises I could do at home.
$ 109 for 90 minutes is well worth the investment with Megan.
I will be back!

I have been going to InSpa for massage, wax and pedicure for years. This place is always friendly and clean. I love their sanitary practices for nails, with new packets of utensils opened every time.

Unbelievable. I have been coming to this InSpa for several years, seeing several nail artists (as there is a very high turnover) and the last dozen or so times I saw one named Tien. She did great work and nail art and always received a gush of praise from me as well as several new clients that I recommended to go see her. When I made an appointment a couple of months ago with Tien, I received 4 (FOUR) cancellations and rescheduling from InSpa, with different excuses like «she called in sick» «she needs a lunch break», etc. Finally they booked me with someone else, who did a fine job, but not as good as Tien. My next appointment was for today. Once again, I got 2 cancellation phone calls, and had to reschedule, but then I received a confirmation e-​mail yesterday, so I went to the spa today. When I got there, they told me that they rescheduled me with someone else, because Tien «did not feel comfortable having me as a client». WTF??? When I asked for a reason, they couldn’t give me one. I have given this technician nothing but praise, we always had great chats. So they can now refuse clients? Really? Not only will I never set foot (no pun intended) in this place again, but will let the people I recommended to her know of her repulsive behaviour.

Both my friend and I were just here for our 30 min massage and both of us only got 25 min massages. These massages are expensive so it’s not right to cut people short even though its only 5 min. We asked the tech to add a bit more force but not sure if they have no energy by the end of the day or something but we didnt feel like it was a deep tissue massage at alI. I will not go back to this location.

Someone finally got in touch with us about a month later, and my sisters and I were able to go in to get the services we initially had a bad experience with. This time, we had a very pleasant experience, and our nails looked pretty good (not great– there were some smudges and chips). I probably won’t come to this location again after all of that hassle, but I appreciate the company making it up to us, so I’m updating my review from one star to two stars.

Had gift cards to spend… Loved the calm of the spa with only 4 chairs, as I go to relax. I didn’t converse with nail tech, but should have paid more attention to what she was doing.
Pedi was just OK for the price. No pre-​soak of the first foot; just a dip in the tub. Barely scrubbed the bottoms of my feet.
Manicure was an upgrade — so over paid for this. My own nails were considerably long. I asked her shorten a little and leave squared. The sides of the nails on one hand were filed off and tips rounded. Other hand was left squared. Both were filed WAY down. And the entire time I was there she kept looking around at other techs. Timeline for mani — base coat hand 1, base coat hand 2, started right back on hand 1 with color… through the top coat. No down time! Then put her ‘task light’ on my nails to dry for less than 5 minutes. What the !!! Oh, my nails started chipping that night — from the cuticle and tips. AHRG!!!

Update to my previous review from 6÷20÷14. After posting my review I received a call from Inspa to try to remedy the situation. They were friendly and helpful about addressing my concerns and offered me a gift card for future services. I was also happy to know that it was good at any location. When it came in the mail i was pleasantly surprised that it was for double my original purchase, so I felt that they really respected my concerns and made a great effort ensure that I was content with any future experience.

I’ve been to this Inspa 5 – 10 times in the past few years. Inspa is like the Denny’s of the spa world: you don’t go for the service or the atmosphere, you go because there’s always an opening and there’s one in every city. It’s convenient, but overpriced for what you get. Let’s start from the beginning of your typical Inspa experience:
Front desk: If you’re lucky, whatever teenaged girl working the front desk will quickly put their phone away (you can see them texting through the big glass windows, as you walk up to the spa) as soon as you enter, or stop gossiping long enough to welcome you. It’s fake, but not because these girls are unpleasant; you can just tell they don’t want to be there, so they force a smile and say their lines. After checking in, you sit in the wicker chairs they must have stolen from my grandma’s porch, back in 1976. At least they have magazines. If you’re lucky enough, you might catch a glimpse of the manager up front. You will recognize her by the perma-​scowl on her face. True story: I once watched in horror, while she yelled at an employee for allowing a customer to return something. I kept hearing her say: «but it’s not our fault». I guess they do not believe in customer service.
Service: Your technician comes out to greet you and takes you into the back. Where you end up depends on your service, but having had nail, massage, and waxing services, I will say that the set up of the whole spa is… awkward. If you’re in for a massage, you better hope it’s a slow day for the nail technicians; you can hear everything they’re saying, which might not gel well if you’re looking for a relaxing massage. The esthetician rooms are cozy, but small, and the nail stations are composed of computer chairs and stained, roll out tubs (although there was talk of upgrading to actual pedicure stations, but I haven’t been back since so I don’t know).
Technicians: I’ve seen a few different technicians for my services, and they’ve all been professional, but nobody stood out enough to get me to book with them again. Mostly everyone was friendly, but I just wasn’t wow’d by my results. There are a few favorites who seem to book up the most, but again, it just depends on what you’re looking to get out of your experience and who works well with your personality. I’ve never been unhappy with my end result, in fact, the technicians really are the saving grace for Inspa.
Pricing: I priced it at $$$ for a reason, it’s expensive. $ 18+ for an eyebrow wax, $ 80+ for a facial (btw the facials are worthless, don’t get one! $ 80 could go so much further at any other spa!). $ 40 for a pedicure! And it’s your basic pedicure, no hot stone massage, no paraffin treatments, no masque’s, nothing. If you ask them why their pedicures are so expensive, they will tell you it’s because they sterilize everything so you won’t get fungus. A quick Unilocal search will bring up so many other nail salons where customers also don’t get fungus, AND you can easily get a mani and pedi for $ 40.
Overall, I would only recommend Inspa if you need last minute waxing before an event or vacation, or if you find a technician that you really enjoy. Otherwise, I think there are so many better options out there. You can’t throw a stone in Seattle without hitting an independently run spa. Avoid the corporate spas (seriously, you’re paying ridiculous prices because the fat cats at corporate need to pad their pockets, it has nothing to do with nail fungus).

I had two bad experiences in a row here. The first time was being burned by wax, in an area you don’t want burned. I had to ask to have the charge reversed for the waxing and was issued a lukewarm apology. Being very uncomfortable for 4 days from a bikini wax burn really deserved more than ‘I’m sorry.’
The second was a massage with a rude attendant that cut the time short by 10 minutes. Massage isnt cheap and it’s nice to get all the time you pay for.

I went in for a shellac manicure. The woman who did my nails was incredibly rude. She would take my hand and turn it (my hand being completely limp so she could do whatever she wanted). When she would direct my hand incorrectly, and I would accidently touch something, she would slap my hand and scold me. She also started the nail polish too far up on my nail, making it look like I had a week of grow out on my nail at the end of the manicure. I will not be returning.
EDIT: 1÷21÷2013 After this negative experience, I was contacted by InSpa’s customer relations. They offered me a refund for my experience via a gift card. I used the gift card at their U-​Village location for two regular manicures. I am pleased to report that both my friend and I were very pleased with the services. I am also happy that I was contacted by customer relations, I feel like this my previous negative experience into an overall positive experience. Therefore I have changed my review from 1 to 3 stars.

Ashley was amazing. I got one of the best massages I have ever had last night. If you are looking for an amazing deep tissue massage, she is it. I will be back!

I had an urge for a massage on a Monday evening so I called up inSpa after finding it on google. Here are my story:
I called to enquire about a massage on a Monday evening. The front desk staff was very polite and friendly sounding, they were able to get me in that same evening. Fantastic.
Innitial impression upon arrival:
The place is very clean and very well lit but lacked decoration and music. It seemed more like a doctor’s office than a spa in my opinion. There was a lack of varity of magazines to read while you wait; there was only one and it was a very girly magazine. It seemed like they didn’t try that hard to cater to the men that came to the spa.
Dealing with the front desk:
The receptionist was very friendly and polite. She explained that they take payment before the service and have a no tipping policy. It was very nice knowing exactly what you’re going to end up paying and not having the stress of deciding the tip.
The massage room:
Like the lobby it was very clean but had more of a doctor’s office feel than I’d have liked; there wasn’t much decoration at all. The music however was nice as was the heated massage table /​bed.
The massage:
I had Kendra work on me and she was fantastic! She asked multiple times if the pressure was alright and was just generally awesome. After the massage was over she was waiting in the lobby for me with a glass of water.
Over all:
I really enjoyed my experience, I’ll definitely be back there.

If you can find a tech you like this place is great. The front desk staff is super helpful, the rewards program is awesome. I did have on unfortunate visit — details unnecessary — and the store manager at the Woodinville is NOT helpful (rude, in fact). Once escalated the corporate office settled the issue satisfactorily. I would NOT recommend pedicures here, the pedi stations are VERY portable with uncomfortable chairs — and no temp control on the water. The pedi’s themselves look fine –but there are so many other options for a big comfortable massage chair at similar prices. Love the no-​tipping policy as well. Although they allow walk-​ins they do a pretty steady business, I highly recommend making an appointment.
Update:
I will not be renewing my rewards program, since they implemented tipping. A gift card here used to be a great gift idea, since all other places the recipient winds up owing $$ for a tip. Not any more… while the salon is convenient to where I live, that reason alone will not keep me coming back here.
