The mission of The Shyne School is to provide a place for children, their families and teachers to come together and build a sense of community were everyone belongs. For children ages 1 to 8.

History

Established in 1983.

William and Diane Shyne ran a full day preschool in their home in the Cottage Lake Area and bought Avondale Montessori, a morning only preschool. The reason we offer three different daily schedule is from the two programs combining. They changed the name to The Shyne School and started making improvements, and continue to each year.

I have been the director of The Shyne School since August of 2002. Before directing schools I started working as an assistant teacher while attending the U of W. I took on the roll of a Lead Assistant for two years and then was was given my own classroom where I taught for 5 years as a Lead Teacher of a 3.5 to 5 year old Preschool class. I then moved to a new school as a Program Superivsor for 8 years.

During my years of experience with children from 3 months to 12 years of age I have met and worked with wonderful children, parents and teachers. Both my boys attened The Shyne School and had wonderful experiences.
