Medium to low quality food, very poor service! charged extra just for tomato which is not happening in Persian restaurants. Nothing positive to mention, will not bother myself to come back again!

Yummy– we’re picky eaters and this place hit the spot! Shiah Kabob sandwich was good– the kabob tender and would have given 5 stars if the sangak bread had been toasted for the sandwich. The staff very helpful and the food good. Asheh Anar was great, maasto moosir very good also. Only surprise was that the charge to refill a glass of tea– don’t know any Persian restaurants that charge for refills, and some offer it complementary.

Stay away ~ Stay away ~ Stay away For the first time we ordered food from here for our weekly poker night and that was a nightmare! The chicken breast had latterly just 5 small pieces and the Cornish was even less. They forgot to give us the salad and the ones we ordered with rice, the rice was overlooked. The one star is for lots of bread they gave us. We called them and complained about the food, guess what the owner said:(we are doing that for several years and we never had complain about our food). The Unilocal rating speaks for itself. We will never order from here for sure.

The food quality is good, they are fast. They are not the best in town, but their price is match with their quality.

This Persian restaurant has excellent food and the best sangak bread in the country. Don’t go to this place for ambiance or amazing service but if you want authentic Persian food at a decent price this is your spot.

Service is none existence and the owner is very very rude. I have never been to a place with such a horrible customer service. Just do yourself a favor and please please go somewhere else, this is not what Persian food and hospitality is suppose to be like :((((( In conclusion: STAYAWAY!!! STAYAWAY!!! STAYAWAY!!!

Two stars only because their soup was good. The rest was HORRIBLE! Stale. The kotlet Sandwhich was as if they cooked it last week, froze it, microwaved it for too long so it was hard, then gave it to me. I will not go back again!

I stopped by last Sunday December 13th to pick up ash reshteh. I did find the staff very warm and welcoming which I did find refreshing and I was rather pleased. I did ask not to add naanah daagh on top which normally is very oily. However, when I got home, I noticed the naanah daagh is mixed into ash reshteh itself which made it extremely oily which I found very disgusting. WHYWOULDANYONEADDOILTOASHRESHTEH??? I hope the owners read this review!

Second time we ate there. The first time was pretty good and we hadchicken breast, however this time we ordered salmon it was not very good and very fishy tasting. We mentioned it to the waitress she did she did not really have much of a response. The chicken was not as good as last time either. Won’t be going back

The food was decent. The zereshk polo(kind of like cranberry rice) was okay. It lacked salt. The chicken kabob tho, was amazing! That is a dish you must try when visiting this restaurant. Servers were nice. But their prices were a bit expensive for the quality of the food. The plate of chicken kabob was about 10 bucks and 3 bucks extra for the rice to be zereshk. And the did not serve water. You had to purchase a water bottle. Overall, I would come back for the chicken kabob only and the sangak bread.

i’ve seen way better persian food in the Vally… I think it’s strange thing that everyone is watching you even thought you haven’t done something wrong! it’s like«Why you’re siting next to us?» a waiter asked us to carry our plates when we said that we want a bigger table don’t expect waiters smiling here,

I was told their sangak bread was better than the bread you would get in local bakeries back in Iran. Now that’s quite a reputation right? And apparently their sangak tasted quite healthy as compared to the sangaks’s that are sold around LA. This is a beautiful shop on Ventura and they have a row of seats for families to sit and eat regular Iranian food. The place was full. And the fact that most families were Iranian is a testimony to the restaurant serving authentic Iranian food. I did not try as I had reservations at another local Iranian. Favorite. But I intend to try their food some time soon. Coming back to sangak: man! These breads are huge, perhaps the biggest I have ever seen. Big food stuff intimidates me. My experience has not been great with huge portion size. But this one is undoubtedly the best sangak. Freshly made out of whole Wheat and yeast and baked right in front of you. The taste is out of the world. We were so hungry that we finished half of the bread on our way back home. Simply out of this world. The bakers are friendly and the service is great. If you are looking at great sangak. This is the place. They also serve an assortment of sweetmeats all Persian and they looked fresh and beautiful. They are on the Main Street and parking is on the road. The place is small but always full. I loved every bite. I hope you guys like it too. I am coming back to try their koobideh and soltani.

My best friend works across the street from this place and when she wanted to have lunch, well here is another review. I came here once again to try to give it another chance. The service was great this time! The waitress was very attentive and kept checking back with us even after the food was brought out. Everyone was welcoming and greeted customers who walked through the door. I guess they’ve been reading their reviews. :) As far as paying for water, since there is no tap water, paying for street parking(no lot) and paying $ 2 extra for rice… it still isn’t the best bargain for your dollar. Factor that in and you will see that a 2 plate lunch with drinks will be $ 34 before tip. That, in my opinion is on the higher side compared to the other Persian restaurants on Ventura. If you do decide to come here, enjoy the freshly made sangak! Now where else can you get that? :)

This review is only for the Sangak bread. Sangak is my favorite Persian bread and this place has the best Sangak bread in Los Angeles and Orange County. Their Sangaks taste wonderful when you eat it fresh; especially when you eat or dip it into the some Persian traditional dishes such as kashk bademjoon and Kale pache. Their Sangaks are pretty large/long size and three or four people can easily share a Sangak bread. I highly recommend their Sangaks. If you haven’t tried it yet, make sure to stop by and get a fresh Sangak bread from Asal Bakery.

The most disgusting Kabab I’ve ever had in my whole life. I was thinking in my mind that Los Angeles must have the best Persian restaurants since it’s the biggest community of Iranians outside Iran, I headed to this place, bought Koobide Kabab. Oh my dear lord, it was the worst persian Kabab. Tough to get into it even with knife. greasy and unappetizing. I was lucky that I didn’t end up in hospital. All I remember after eating that plate, throwing up in gas station’s restroom I don’t write bad reviews often but you MUST Check your god damn food’s quality before sell em.
