I was 18 and had just suffered a traumatic head injury via car accident. The other party (at fault) was driving a company vehicle. I was sent to the hospital for immediate attention and stitches to my forehead. Naïve to the process, I contacted Berglund & Johnson to handle my case. They took multiple photos of the damages and met with me for questioning and interviewing. After WEEKS? of negotiating with the other party, Berglund propositioned me with the 15k liability insurance. They insisted I take the money and that this was the best deal I would probably get. Trusting their motives, I took the 15k, which turned out to be 4k after hospital bills and lawyer fees (which apparently I could have done myself). I didnt know i got SCREWED at the time, but as time went on and I grew older and wiser, I realized this wasnt right. I looked into similar cases involving head injury and reconstructive surgery to the face (which i didnt receive, I live with a permanent scar) and they were receiving upwards of 400k. I never received proper compensation for possibly brain damage and facial scaring but I did receive a Christmas card from the firm every year :) Ignorance is Bliss

was searching for an attorney to help me with an auto accident I was involved in. I was violently hit by a vehicle who ran a stop sign. My car was totaled. Not only did he answer our questions, he prayed with us. Henry Lozada who handled our case was very helpful and patient every step of the way. This law firm is very knowledgeable. Our case settled quickly and there was no need to go to court. I now am recommending Berglund and Johnson. They are good people, considerate and professional.

Thankfully, I’ve never had to actually go through a lawsuit. However, I have been in a couple of car accidents. On one occasion, someone backed right into me in a parking lot. I wasn’t sure how the insurance was going to handle it, so I went to Berglund & Johnson and got some advice on what I should do. They walked me through the process and never pressured me to do anything. They were honest and direct, and I really appreciated that. In the end, the insurance worked out, and I’m inclined to think it helped my case just to be talking with a lawyer.

The worst personal injury law firm for the following reasons that contradict their self promoting. Zero follow up, caught my case administrator in 2 deceptions, had great communication with my attorney’s voice mail, they had my address wrong 4 times, the person that came to gather all my information of the accident never made it to the case administrator. So what’s the point? I actually had to hire an executive car to drive me all the way to Woodland Hills to get some answers from the office manager, case manager, and one of the partners. Well needless to say when I arrived neither Berglund nor Johnson were present for the accountability meeting.
To make a long story endless, my suggestion to anyone in auto accident personal injury do your homework. What does it take to make your case win without going to trial. This law firm was all talk and no $$$$.
If any attorney declares to always be there, run especially if they throw in their own religious beliefs as a «hook and reel» tactic. That should speak for itself. And every doctor that that I encounter do not recommend them. Hhhhmmm !!! You have up to a year to file for personal injury, Take your time to find great representation and not ambulance chasers like the Law of Offices of B.J. no pun intended.

I can’t say enough about Berglund and Johnson. Dan Johnson represented us when my wife was struck by an SUV while astride her motorcycle. I’m truly grateful for having such an experienced and mainstream firm alongside of us as we battled the insurance company, and believe me it was a battle! The outcome was more than we expected and I’m convinced that if not for Dan’s experience, knowledge and tenacity, we would not have prevailed. Furthermore, his diligence and professionalism is second to none. In closing, I highly recommend Berglund and Johnson!!!

I have only worked with a few personal injury attorneys of whom Mr. Berglund presented in the same promising although cordial manner for his services. Overall I am unsatisfied with his legal services and those from his firm.
He tried to make me sign an additional contract, after the case was over, indemnifying him and his firm. He had never informed me of this contract prior, when I retained his service by contract. I refused to sign it. After he took his percent of the award for many months he refused to give me the award despite the fact I had no income, was unable to work due to the accident and had yet to be awarded disability by the Social Security Administration (later was awarded).
It took the intervention of the California State Bar to persuade Mr Berglund to release the award to me.
Oh, and Mr Berglund dosed off during my deposition.
