Dr. Kern’s sessions are specially tailored to meet both of our unique individual traits as well as the challenges we face as a couple. His advice has added many a great benefit to our relationship and we always look forward to our time with him. Highly recommend!

I started seeing Don three years ago when I noticed repetitive behaviors that I wanted to change. He has been very helpful in not only providing advice, but also suggesting books to read to assist with the therapy sessions. I always feel like he is concerned about what is best for me. I’m very happy with the progress I have made in my sessions with Don.

My ex-​spouse and I (married at the time) saw Donald Kern for 5 months. We had weekly sessions for 50 minutes each.
I found Mr. Kern’s council to be unhelpful, at least in terms of helping to save my relationship or help prevent divorce. Overall Mr. Kern was vague in his council and he avoided issues. (He was very exact when it came to co-​pays though.) Mr. Kern looked for excuses to redefine or ignore verbal and emotional abuse. I think Mr. Kern was more interested in ensuring the sessions continued rather than devising a strategy for us his clients to follow which would identify the cause of the relationship problem and deal with the problem and then repair the relationship.
I regret not ending the professional relationship w/​Mr. Kern sooner than I did. Perhaps if I had, I could have sought the help of another marriage and family counselor and my spouse and I would still be married today.
