UPDATE:
In response to my frustration over a longstanding appointment being cancelled, Dr. Dori responded personally. That was unexpected and was a very nice touch. While I still have to wait almost 2 more weeks to get my daughter in, I’m heartened by Dr. Dori’s personal attention. I have changed by 1-​star (bad) to 3-​stars (neutral) and will probably delete this review altogether (or change it to a better rating) if all goes well.
ORIGINAL POST:
Booked a dental appointment for my daughter over 1 month ago. I was without my mobile most of yesterday, and sitting in an airplane the rest of the day (with no wifi). Apparently these jokers tried to call to confirm the appointment one day in advance but I literally couldn’t answer or respond. This morning I saw their email asking for confirmation. I immediately confirmed, but they replied that they cancelled the appointment (and guess what… no openings for at least another month).
Tip to Dentist: If you are going to set an appointment a month in advance and then CANCEL IT IF I DON’T CONFIRM THE DAY BEFORE, why don’t you TELL ME THAT! What a joke. Such a simple thing to do, to say «you must confirm the day before or we’ll tell you to go F-​yourself and cancel your appointment.»
Other top to Dentist: If you «accept new patients», then you should be able to accommodate new patients. Either you don’t have enough dentists, or you are just greedily trying to fill your books with patients regardless of what’s best for the patient.
Since this was my first impression with these people, I’m now convinced I don’t want their grubby fingers in my kid’s mouth. I’ll find a more reasonable dental office.

I have had an initial consultation and a basic cleaning so far, with more procedures to come. I like good customer service with all the pleasantries, but I love technical expertise. So far the office staff has been impeccable, providing information and bills in the best possible manner, and making sure I had the necessary info for upcoming dates. Dr. Alon (the male half of the Drs. Dori) not only takes the time to provide accurate, detailed information about every step, up to this point, his, and the hygienist, have shown great skill and technical ability while maintaining a down-​to-​earth personal interaction. I will update as other procedures happen, but the entire staff is amazingly friendly and nice, and has demonstrated top-​notch skills. My business is theirs to lose at this point. They have earned every star I’ve given
Update #2– had a root canal by the other Dr. Dori (Melissa) who was very personable, professional and almost as detailed in her description of the work as Dr. Alon Dori. I had some complications which were handled immediately and with deft skill. This was my first root canal ever, I needed no painkillers after the initial local anesthetic wore off, and have been very happy with the results ever since! I had heard so many horror stories of root canals, and I have not experienced that at Dori Dental Arts, and hope to never experience that! I’m going back for my final procedure soon, and as much as is needed for my mouth health. They continue to earn every bit of my business. A side note, you can watch movies while they work. I don’t just mean the Netflix they have, it’s so easy to handle, you can just sit and watch. Very comfortable and relaxing. Lexee and Veronica in the office are both friendly, professional and truly caring about helping the patient. A great place to go for dental work.
Update #3– had an Onlay procedure, which was very easy. Once again Dr. Alon Dori adroitly and expertly guided me through the process first so I was prepared, and then very quickly did a fantastic job. One more procedure to go…

I recently had my first and second visit to Dori Dental, and they were the most positive experiences I’ve ever had with a dentist.
They are located in a gorgeous building and the office is very classy. You check in on a laptop (yay for saving paper) and are quickly ushered back because they only book one patient at a time. The office has the latest in all the dental technology and you can watch Netflix while getting your work done. Also, everyone you encounter is super friendly.
Dr. Dori is so personable and really wants his patients to understand what he’s doing. He even made a movie explaining how to read X-​rays. He has a great chair-​side manner and really makes you feel comfortable. I really like how he doesn’t push for you to get more work than you need. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth afterwards gave me the most thorough, yet gentle cleaning I’ve ever had. Later in the week I went back to get a filling. It took less than 20 minutes from start to finish and I didn’t feel a thing.
I can finally say I look forward to going to the dentist.

What a wonderful office and staff! I have always hated going to the dentist, but ever since I began coming to Dori Dental Arts it has been a MUCH better experience. They really take the time to explain things, listen to concerns, and help you feel as comfortable as possible. They also don’t do excess, unnecessary, procedures that other offices will perform just to make extra money. I am so grateful to the whole team! Thank you very much!

Well I’ll start by saying that while I’m a Unilocaler I’ve never Unilocaled anything for healthcare. So I was pretty skeptical. But I’m super pleased with my overall experience at Dori.
State of the art facility with beautiful new equipment. They integrate multi-​media through your experience.
This morning I had my cleaning and got to watch Netflix during the entire thing. Felt like I was at a retreat. My hygienist was hilarious and recommending shows. Importantly she was really gentle on my teeth and I walked away in a great mood. When has visiting the dentist ever been this grand?!

First filling in my Life that didn’t hurt — BEST Dental Experience EVER! Wish I could also give 10 STARS! Here is how I got here…
My other dentist (out of network) said I needed another cap and I was still paying off the other 2 caps. I knew it was time to get IN network so I got the list from Anthem and started calling until I found Dori Dental Arts who seemed to have a LOT of great Unilocal reviews.
Going to Dori the 1^st time I felt like a kid at Xmas; everything was so shiny, clean, fancy and hi-​tech. Even the New Patient form was self-​serve on an iPad (results of which later pop up in the exam room so the doc can see the A’s to your Q’s and truly and thoroughly go over your medical history with you… wow right). The dr then took about 1 hr with me. He really took his time, I never felt rushed and then gave me the good news that I only needed a filling. YAH! How often does THAT happen?!
I was thoroughly impressed but waited till my 2^nd exp, after my filling, to write this review:
POSTITIVES:
Dori (your handsome dentist… sorry ladies he is taken) is the total package: he’s attentive, caring, he takes his time to listen to your concerns and to thoroughly examine and figure out what’s going on, he’s skilled and is just a genuinely nice guy who is actually GOOD at what he does and obviously loves his job!
The best part for me is that this is actually the FIRST FILLING EVER THAT DID NOT HURT! I am allergic to lidocaine so other dentist’s non-​l anesthetics would usually ware off in 15 minutes so they’d keep injecting me without much help but NOT THIS TIME… YAH!
Pristine Office in a GREAT location — the office is so clean and modern and the dental chair was super comfy. I have neck issues and I was really comfortable. It feels like you’re at a prestigious Beverly Hills location and that feels great! It just does
They also seem to have hi tech equipment. During the filling I was hearing them use equip that I haven’t heard other dentists use and do extra steps to ensure the filling was secure and clean.
ALL the staff are sweet and friendly from your first phone call, to front desk to dental assistants.
Parking — Garage parking with 1 hour validation. Dori will take his time with you so expect to spend $ 3 on the parking. Street parking with meters is also available.
Negative: I wish I had found them 15 years ago but better late than never!

I feel the need to update my review since I have had the pleasure of having Dr Dori as my dentist for the last few months. I have had to see him multiple times to help me correct poor dental work I had received from another dentist. Dr Dori has been so wonderful and his work is top notch! He is seriously the most amazing dentist ever! I even ended up bringing 3 of my children here and they all love him as well. I will never go any where else. If your looking for the best and most honest dentist this would be the office to come to.

The best Dentist I’ve ever seen. All the staff are very nice. Glad to be here. Dr. Dori is very patient and he listens and explain everything very simple so you will understand and you know what is happening in your mouth. If you are looking for a number one dentist he is the one.

Well, this is officially my FIRST review and I cannot think of a better time/​opportunity to write it! I am SO gratetful to all the Unilocalers before me who gave Dr. Dori and his office five stars. It is because of them, that I (after 15 years of not seeing a dentist) and only out of absolute vain necessity went to see Dr. Dori! (Having had perfect teeth all my life, I truly panicked when I noticed that my two front teeth had lost enamel, and one of them was turning yellow! Yuck! I am an actress, so um yeah, not the haps!
Where do I start? First of all, let me say, I am a severe germa-​phobe, so cleanliness is a MUST. Well, l I could not ask for more at this office, super clean, with a beautiful ambiance (yes, I said ambiance) and not to mention «touch free» cabinets, this place gets a 10 on cleanliness!
Then there is Dr. Dori himself! Wow, I truly wish I could give him 10 stars, he is the nicest medical professional I have ever met, and his in depth knowledge, patience and information for your best case scenerio is bar none! I had a very IN-​expensive procedure done, and he gave me the time and attention you would expect after paying thousands of dollars, and this was before and AFTER my procedure! He is absolutely the best, and his office staff are as wonderfully sweet and kind as he is!
As I mentioned earlier, I had a vanity procedure done, and I have to say, the office can be beautiful, the Dr. can be nice, but what would all that matter if his work was subpar? To be honest, none of it! Well, here is where I cannot say enough, Dr. Dori is an artistic master! I truly could not be happier with the outcome. I was terrified that I was going to walk away somewhat unhappy, and my incredibly critical husband was there, and even he had to say that Dr. Dori’s work was nothing short of perfect! I can not stop smiling, so happy to have my beautiful teeth back, and they look faaaaantastic!
I am so grateful to God to have found such a gem in Dr. Dori, his office and his work!

Best dentist ever. Great staff, great service, high tech gadgets. They even came in early and took care of me during an emergency.

I have to rewrite my original 5star review now 6 months later since I found out that Dr Dori’s work was bad. I paid her $ 1600 for a retreat procedure that is still infected and needs to be redone. Two dentists told me she’s responsible within 6 months to redo or refund However Dr dori doesn’t stand by her work and refused to redo it. It’s impossible to sue or refund your money when this happens because they can afford tons of attorney expenses while ordinary folks can’t.
So don’t waste your money. While her office is very clean and pretty her work is as it turns out is way below standard. Go to someone more experienced who actually gets things done. This one is dishonest and will just grab as much of your money as she can

I wish I could give 10 stars. This was the best trip to the dentist I’ve had since I can remember. I’m not sure what it is, but all the dentist visits I’ve had in about 15 years have been incredibly negative… from condescending and rude dentists, unhelpful supporting staff, long and inconvenient waits, etc etc etc… I was starting to give up on going to the dentist, and almost had! It’s been about four years, and I decided it was time to see a dentist again before things started to go sour with my teeth.
I’m always a bit skeptical with Unilocal,but I am so glad I checked this place out. Everything from start to finish was a positive A++++++ experience. There is Lexi at the front desk, who is kind and professional and was incredibly helpful on the phone. The supporting staff who gave me a tour of the facilities were incredibly friendly. Dr. Dori himself was incredibly kind and patient. It’s him and his wife who run the facility, and although I didn’t meet the wife, I’m sure she is just as amazing as Dr. Dori the husband. He seems genuinely enthusiastic about his dental practice, never once made me feel belittled (which has unfortunately been my experience with dentists), and explained all the processes thoroughly. Both Dr. Dori and the hygeneist were patient and supportive with my nervousness during the cleaning and getting a cavity filled.
All in all, these people are professional, friendly, and know what they are doing. AND their facility is right next to Trader Joes, so you can get some good snacks and groceries afterward. What more could you ask for?

Going to Dori was a fantastic experience. Their pleasant and professional demeanor reduced my natural anxiety of being in the chair for detailed procedures.
Their investments in the latest tech, from the Top of the line Adec chairs, X-​ray imaging, all digital records and dental partners made me feel that this practice is in the current century.
All that being said, they are just great people and I know they have genuine interest in my long term comfort and week being.

Finding a good dentist is like finding a good mechanic. You want one who does excellent work but won’t try to get you to do work you don’t need.
Dori Dental Arts is the place for you! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Dr. Dori is awesome and really explains everything to you and what he’s doing. He’ll also be real and tell you if you need certain work or not, or if you can afford to wait awhile.
Overall, my experience has always been positive and I recommend this place to all my friends who live in the area.

Professional, friendly, and just a pleasant experience all around.
To better prepare me for my very first cleaning, Dr. Dori performed a very thorough inspection of my gums and teeth. He was very informative throughout the entire process, and primarily walked me through all of the things he was looking for, to better assess what I needed in terms of dental care. Luckily I only needed a standard cleaning, but I also asked him to repair a small chip in one of my teeth.
The cleaning itself was very easy, and relatively pain free. He went out of his way to make sure I was always comfortable, and even gave me set of headphones, so I could watch Netflix throughout the entire procedure. All I can say is that whoever came up with this idea is an absolute genius!
As for my chipped tooth. Since the damaged area was fairly small, I didn’t need any anesthetics to numb it, so I was in an out within 30 minutes. Once again everything was absolutely perfect.
So if you’re in the area and seeking a dentist, look this place up immediately, your teeth will thank you for it.

Seriously, there really is no better dentist anywhere – no, I really mean anywhere. This place left me with such a positive feeling, I will literally never go anywhere else. Dr. Dori is the real deal.
From the phone call to make an appointment to the time you walk out the door, you are taken care of, catered to, and pampered. Yes, I said PAMPERED – IN A DENTIST’S OFFICE!
You walk in to a fancy, completely spotless, hygienic office complete with art that the dentist himself created. There are mini water bottles, coffee, magazines, and a digital check-​in process. The receptionist at the time of my visit, Veronica, was ridiculously sweet. We chatted, and she made me feel right at home (even though I secretly was wondering if my insurance would catch on to me and try to make me pay out of pocket for this Beverly Hills-​like experience).
Veronica led me back within a few minutes of my check in, gave me a tour of the facility explaining how they sterilize everything and all the cabinetry is touch free – operating on a foot pedal opening system. The bathroom – spotless – with toothbrushes and mouthwash. She showed me where I could hang my belongings in a super clean and well kept room.
And the exam/​cleaning was almost 3 hours. Why? Because the doctor spent TIME with me, talking about teeth and home care and my X-​Rays, and my cleaning was thorough.
The X-​Rays were almost completely painless – only a slight discomfort – not the normal «oh my god I friggin’ hate these X-​Ray» bite wings that I’ve had at every other dentist in the world I’ve been to. I believe it was Milo (name?) who took my X-​Rays. He was funny, sweet, and cared about my comfort level. By the way, they are wirelessly sent to a flatscreen directly in front of you on a rotating arm so you can see them as they take them. I thought we were done, but then the doc came in. He completely examined every tooth with me and explained what to look for as far as abnormalities. He then took his leave and Michelle took over.
Michelle was a doll. She set up Netflix for me and handed me a set of headphones so I could watch a movie or show while she cleaned my teeth. I started watching something, but she and I ended up having some things in common, so we spoke more than I watched the show – I mean as much as I could talk back with a tool in my mouth.
Then, I was handed a warm towelette for my face to end my amazing experience. Seriously? Did they just give me a warm towelette?
I was grinning ear to ear, and not just from my cleaning. This place is top notch.

So I went back to Dr. Dori to have a comprehensive exam and also a cleaning. I cannot echo enough all the good reviews on Unilocal about their office.
Dr. Dori took the extra step of taking some xrays that my previous dentist did not take and did not even charge me for them. He was personable and friendly and spent a lot of time with me to explain each problem area and he answered all my questions. I never felt that he was trying to get rid of me or was annoyed that he had to spend time answering my questions.
The front desk staff looked up what my insurance covered and let me know before hand how much I would be out of pocket so I wasn’t surprised at the end and still had time to cancel.
The hygenist is so genuinely friendly, and not bossy or holier-​than-​thou like many hygenists are. haha I even watched Moonstruck on Netflix while she cleaned my teeth.
Can’t say enough wonderful things about this place.

It had been an embarrassingly long time since my last cleaning. One reason I’d been putting it off is that I expected to move and didn’t want to have to go through the hassle of finding a new dentist in the next area. But it was long overdue, and so I used my health care plan provider finder to look for a dentist. DDA was one of the options, and after seeing the Unilocal reviews I booked an appointment a lot sooner than I expected (next day).
The parking structure behind the office is pretty convenient, and while they validate, my 2.5 hours ran $ 6. The office is in this little office park on Ventura, with large (tinted) windows looking out over the immaculately trimmed fake grass. The office itself is very clean and modern-​looking, with a Keurig (or similar) machine and the usual magazines. I figure the Keurig is either a trap or a great way to get repeat business.
As a new patient, I had to fill in my records, but thankfully they use an electronic system that is very quick, and I was in to see Dr. Alon shortly (one of the technicians gave me a little tour of the office).
He sat down and, after a brief intro and determination of the reason of my visit, proceeded to explain some details about what we were going to be doing and why. First, one of his technicians did my X-​rays, and then Dr. Alon sat down to go over them in great yet not excessive detail. He was very elaborate in what he was looking for and what things meant, and answered all of my questions.
We proceeded to the visual/​poke exam with the usual tools (he explained what some of them were for), gave me an analysis, and then set me up for my cleaning with another of his technicians. They have Netflix, so I got to counterbalance the scraping and poking with some Galaxy Quest, and after a little while I was all set and on my way home to write this.
Overally, great experience. Clean facility, friendly staff from the front desk to the doctor himself (I believe his wife is an endodontist there as well), nice amenities (I could have used a movie during my last root canal), a very technology-​forward atmosphere from the patient information to hi-​res pictures inside my mouth, and Dr. Alon seemed eager to make sure his patients are informed and educated about what they’re getting into.
Even when I move, I’m very likely going to keep coming back to this office. And if I don’t, they said they are able to electronically transfer records, X-​rays pretty easily.
I loved my dentist visit today, which, next to «I take it back; Twilight really is a tour-​de-​force in quality writing and storytelling, and the movies are even better» is a sentence I never thought I would write or say, but here we are.

I came here after looking for a new dentist in the area. I was tired of driving 2 hrs to my old dentist in Costa Mesa. I looked at reviews on Unilocal and Health Grades and OMG, GREAT dentist!
I needed an implant that my old dentist wanted to perform himself. Dr Dori referred me to an oral surgeon, saying he could do it, but wanted me to get the best treatment I could. I had a wonderful experience with the surgeon, as well.
The dental cleanings are SO through! I never had such great cleanings done before! In always felt rushed at my dentist and now I can tell a difference!
