Dr. Shokri specializes in general, cosmetic, reconstructive and orthodontic dentistry. Among other procedures she emphasizes on porcelain veneers and crowns, cosmetic bondings, teeth whitening, TMJ, implants, soft tissue laser treatment and all aspects of orthodontics for children and adults, including but not limited to braces and Invisalign.

History

Established in 2010.

Dr. Mojgan Shokri started her dental career of over 20 years with a BS degree of biomedical engineering, with honors, from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Shokri completed a master degree in Pharmaceutics, from the University of Chicago, IL. She continued her education at the Northwestern University Dental School, graduating with her doctorate degree, again with honors. Simply achieving the necessary academic milestones wasn’t enough for Dr. Shokri. She received additional education in the specialized fields of orthodontics, implant surgery, sleep apnea, pinhole surgical technique, and laser dentistry.

At the University of Illinois at Chicago, Dr. Shokri earned her BS in Biomedical Engineering and graduated with honors. It was there, too, she received her Master in Pharmaceutics after she published several papers documenting her research on the long term effects of cancer medications.

Dr. Shokri got her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at Northwestern University Dental School, again graduating with honors. She received the Dean’s Invitation for an honorary membership in the advanced general dentistry internship program. Later, she completed a three year residency in advanced orthodontics. She has also furthered her expertise in the fields of Implant Surgery, Laser dentistry, Sleep Apnea and Pinhole Surgical Technique. Dr. Shokri is also the recipient of the Quintessence Award in recognition of academic excellence by Quintessence Publishing Company.

Dr Shokri and her team are the best. They go above and beyond to make you happy with your smile. The office is nice with state-​of-​the-​art equipment. Dr Shokri is always up on the latest technology and services. She’s kind, caring, and very skilled. Dr Shokri has been my dentist for about 8 years and I couldn’t be happier. Sami always takes great care of me too. They are the dynamic duo. They make you feel like family.

Thanks to Unilocal I found Dr Shokri! She is probably by far the smartest and most thorough dentist I’ve ever visited. The clinic is very clean with equipments that are advanced but not over the top. The environment is welcoming instead of «trendy». And her sound advises really help me making the best decisions. Unlike other dentists who usually want to replace old fillings & remove wisdom teeth, she told me some of them are not necessary & why. She also has deep knowledge about «biting» and how that might affect the overall oral health, which I’ve never heard from any other doctors before. I highly recommend this place.

I must say that 5 starts are not enough for this office. I went for a consultation and all my questions were answer although I have to see a periodontist for my case I must say that the consultation and the doctor experience was beyond amazing I would definitely recommend this office to anyone !!!

TMJ Expert! It is difficult to find an expert in the Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (or TMJ) field, let alone one that is experienced. Dr. Shokri has the knowledge to understand the connection between the pain in my jaw and the migraines that had become a way of life. Furthermore, she possesses the compassion to explain these to me and clarify how they are related to other symptoms I endure. She developed a dental plan that will address all of my issues and still work within my insurance limitations.
Treating my jaw pain with Botox was unexpected, but surprisingly helpful! Within hours, the pain in my jaw was relieved by 50% — after 20+ years of agony. A week later, I was able to adjust my jaw into a more comfortable position and it continues to relax daily. Without the stress and constant grinding of my teeth, my mouth feels better and I am able to wear my appliance consistently, which is now able to serve its purpose to the fullest extent.
Thanks to Dr. Shokri and her expertise, I am more comfortable than I’ve been in years. More importantly, I have hope that my TMD will improve!

LOVE Mega Bite Dental. Going to the dentist has always made me anxious, however Dr. Shokri and her team put me totally at ease=) They also work with my insurance so I pay as little out of pocket as possible. I would definitely recommend Mega Bite Dental!

Dr. Shokri is a magician,
I have had a very difficult time getting to the dentist because of a few horrible experiences but Dr shokra is the tooth whisper. I have had a few appointments with her office and the staff is attentive happy and pleasant. I had to have my wisdom teeth out and I was dreading the visit. When I arrived all my fears we taken away with great music, an expert dentist and great technology. Dr Shokri was able to extract my tooth and I was able to have fettuccine Alfredo the same night lol. Don’t tell my Dr. If you looking for a great dentist that truly cares about her patients I recommend Dr Shokri. I am so glad my girlfriend gave me this recommendation. #megabitedentalrocks

Dr. Shokri and Sammy are the best! Both always welcome me with a smile and genuinely listen and care about not just my dental, but my overall health. Not only do I go to Dr. Shokri but my family does too and has for years now. I love Dr. Shokri! She was recommended to me by a coworker and I now love going to the dentist. I have been so scared of the dentist for many years and Dr. Shokri completely changed the way I feel about going to the dentist now. She has put together a treatment plan for me and each time I go I feel that I am in good hands and completely relaxed. I had cleanings, fillings and an extraction done, all pain less she did a great job. I love her 3d scan anf her beautiful office. I also started to take my 4 year old to her and she is great with kids. She has identified an issue with him that needs to be corrected and we were not aware. I had a great year with Dr. Shokri this year and I look forward to seeing her again soon. My teeth never looked better, my whole family is healthier thanks to her.

Dr. Shokri is by far the best dentist I have ever had. I met her shortly after moving to LA from NY nearly 17 years ago and was worried about finding a good dentist since I had complicated dental issues. My first visit was all it took. She is not only highly skilled, but she also incredibly compassionate and gentle. Her office is equipped with all of the latest in dental technology. I have since then brought my family from NY and Dallas to see her– it’s become a tradition now to combine family visits along with a visit to Dr. Shokri!

i came here as recommended by my Aunt, and i couldn’t be happier. Got a second opinion on tooth pain i was having. Another dentist recommended surgery, but Dr. Shokri got to the root (pun intended) to the problem, and gave me a more conservative fix to the issue. a couple of weeks later and I am pain free!
She is upfront, explains everything and even tries to work with your insurance options. A consummate professional all around! and yes, they validate your parking!

Wonderful dentist! She and her staff are very professional and pleasant. My first visit was the basics: x-​rays & cleaning, but I also had a deep, severe toothache (couldn’t chew or sleep) and I suspected a root canal was needed. She referred me to an endo that same day for testing, and he cleaned and treated a severe infection with antibiotics. It took 2 visits to complete the root canal, then I went back to Dr. Shokri. I was terrified because the tooth is so tender. She was fantastic! Very sensitive to my fears and was very gentle, while she was taking out the temporary filling and putting in the permanent filling. I am no longer in pain! Thank you Dr. Shokri!

Dr. Shokri is an excellent dentist who takes the time to explain everything she is doing and exactly how she is going to get the problem solved. When I went to her for the first time my mouth was a mess, I needed fillings, crowns, root canals and braces. She took the time over the next few years to start getting teeth fixed and moving on to the next problem until all of my teeth were fixed and my smile now looks beautiful. I can’t thank her enough for her patience and ability to get all of my teeth fixed. I highly recommend her for any problem but especially with having crowns done.

My daughter has been doing Ortho-​Tain with Dr Shokri. Wow what a difference! Her teeth are getting straighter but she says what she notices most is her bite. My son is doing invisalign and although his teeth are getting straighter his bite is not getting corrected. What good are straight teeth with a messed up bite? Dr. Shokri and her office are so friendly and professional. Would recommend to anyone.

Dr. Shokri (Mojgan as she says to call her!) is a true professional and a delight. She takes her time and explains everything that’s about to happen (albeit not the most pleasant way to spend an hour!). She successfully removed the last piece of silver filing in my mouth, pain free, and if anyone has silver filings left in your mouth, call her today and get them replaced! Dr. Shokri’s expert advice says the silver usually uncovers cracked teeth and cavities underneath which must be replaced. What’s also really cool is she takes a picture of every tooth in your mouth as before and afters which are really helpful to detect changes moving forward. Her office is top notch and has state of the art equipment. Glad to have found a great dentist so close to home.
