The absolute worst!!! I have waited over 3 weeks to receive a reimbursement! No one has there information right. I’ve been told it was paid out and then told that it has been enough business days. Only thing they’ll insure is that your stress levels are through the roof! Absolute trash insurance company

I give this SCAM attempt two thumbs down! I would take pictures of my feet if I wanted to waste my own time taking off my shoes, so do not waste yours. «People helping people» has only one request: asking for $ 150 dollars to hand you some papers and move to the next person to scam.
You are NOT being offered work. Just to spend money for a few books, and asked to leave. If you agree, Say bye to your money!

This company is a scam. I got out of the navy and my first week out, myself and my fellow shipmate were approached about this, so we were very opened minded. Long story short, they took my money because I was so gullible. So he and I were both out 300 dollars because of the original joining cost, and we also paid for the next trip. My friend is still trying to do it, but I quickly realized the scam and dropped it. He’s been in for 3 months and has made maybe 2000 dollars. To put it into perspective, that’s less than minimum wage and he’s lost quite a bit of friends for what he is doing. If you want to lose friends and harass family, go ahead, but you’d be better off selling drugs if you ask me.

This is a Multi-​level marketing scheme that is just trying to get your money by saying that you can make a lot of money. I find it funny how I’ve had random people friend request me on facebook and message me to ask me if I want to join this company. What kind of legit company would go out trying to ask people to join their company on social media. They have also approached me in person, trying to get me to join by saying it’s a financial institution, where you can make a lot of money. Which may sound very appealing to people. But don’t fall for this scam. Just think about it this way, a «good» company would not go out looking for people to employ.

This is an honest review. Before I state anything I do not want to state my name, the guy in the conversation, or the bosses name. I want to keep that private.
The purpose of my review is because I want to talk to those who are in need of money. This company has a group of very friendly people none the doubt, but very sneaky. They came into my job one day offered me a job. Seemed like a great opportunity so I went in.
They showed me how much money I can make, why it’s a great deal, they basically made me believe it was suited best for me. This is their job, to make you feel the best.
I went on Unilocal reading all the review, and honestly it made me realize that it isn’t what it’s all cut to be. Plus, I talked to a close friend in this business and he told me things that sent big red signs. In our first encounter they told me I had three days to get my $ 150.00 refund.
You pay $ 150.00 in order to be part of the company in order to start off.
So, I sent them text messages to get out of the company before my three days were up. I went in person with my boyfriend so he can be a witness of our second conversation. All we got was a regurgitation of what the company does.
Everything I am saying is honest. I made this review to show those struggling with money like me to see that if something seems too good do your research.
DONT give money up if you’re not sure.
It’s okay to say no.
Go in before your three trial is over and don’t let them talk over you. I expected them to already know about my refund, but they acted oblivious and just told me what the business was about for the third time.
This may work for others and unfortunately for me it didn’t.
***I will attach text messages of one of the workers and me so you guys can see how it played out. I’m not blaming it entirely on them because well I should have stranded firm on the refund. It sucks when you are a full time student, full time worker, and little spare time.

I as well was approached and asked if I would like to have financial freedom/​Join PHP. In my opinion stay away from this company is a scam it’s a multilevel marketing company. After listening to everything they had to say, I said I was not interested.
They then turned around and tried to sell me there over priced insurance products. And one last thing to a person on this review The Better business Bureau is Just another business and has no authority to shut any business down.
Save your money people and there is no quick way to get rich. PHP just pray on the American Dream, the only American Dream your helping out is the American Dream of the higher ups in the company.

They also have a location on Sherman Way in Van Nuys A total scam — they approach you at retail location where you work and say don’t I know you? I used to work here years ago! Then ask if you are happy working here, if not I have a job for you ! They give you their number to call, no business card, no company name ! You call and they say come by tomorrow and we will chat. You show up and 20 other people their to chat! You get a bad feeling when you hear a bunch of people in a meeting room having a rah rah rally. Then you google them and see bad bad reviews! Good reviews obviously from current employees trying to suck you in to get their cut from this pyramid scheme!

Make u pay a fee to join. Then make you trick your friends and family to join. Someone is going to defend it saying it not a scam because the products the sell are real. Yeah I can pay $ 150 for some books and monthly fees for some motivational speeches, your just a fool if you do though.
The better business bureau is not a government agency, it’s just a review organization much like Unilocal.Unilocal can’t shut down local burger joint because their food is gross, BBB can’t shut down PHP because the plans they well are full of fees and are just money pits.
Throw words out like tax free, investment, financial stability to people that have no prior knowledge on the topic hoping to get you to buy in.
Whoever is drinking the koolaid is is going to defend PHP on my review, hit me up I’ll be glad to put my finance degree to work and point out where the plan they made u get is failing you.

Hello PHP Unity, I dont know who you are, and I dont know what you do. What I do know is that, a few weeks ago, I got a call from someone named «David» who said that my best friend had given him my number and referred me for a job to this company (which I believe to be truth)… After I explained that I was not interested (since my work preference is with children), and he asked A LOT of personal questions: «School? major? what do you want to do with your life? etc…» he asked If i knew anyone who would be interested. (no correction– he IMPLIED i MUST know someone!!). well I’m not one to give anyone’s number out, so I said no.
ANYWAYS, fast forward to today (about a 5 – 6 weeks later). David called me AGAIN! (Apparently forgot he had already called me in the past.) he used the my friend’s name yet again. even included his son (to make sure i knew who he was talking about). but THIS time when he asked if I could refer anyone, i said: «No, I dont give away anyone’s information without asking first.» before i could even FINISH my sentence HE CLICKED ON ME! when i tried to call back, the number was busy. i tried a few times and i finally got the receptionist. THIS IS NOT THE WAY ANYONE SHOULD TREAT ANYONE. ESPECIALLY CUSTOMER SERVICE. Is this what your company is known for? I wish you luck, because you’re going to need it. I sure hope you know exactly who is working for you, because this David guy, sure doesn’t belong ANYWHERE near ‘clients’/customers…

this company and agents dont help people, the defraud people, they’re agent Kesha (kiki) allen, hire a band for their start up entrepreneur kick off, promise to pay us then at the end said checks were being made, and it was all a lie, they never paid. worse company ever!!!

These people DO NOT have your best interest in mind! they play a good game making you think they do but they don’t. by the time they got through with me I owed $ 3000 in taxes. I specifically asked BEFORE if this investment was going to make me claim my rollover as income and they assured me that it would not, I told him I did not want to do it if I had to claim it as income I specifically remember that he said no. Now I am fighting with the IRS and he, I won’t mention his name although I should, claims that he’s not a tax professional. He sure made it sound like he was when he was trying to sell me into this policy. It is a scam to fatten their pockets that’s it. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!

I lost 2 friends after their mother tried to sell me insurance /​annuities through PHP. She got angry after I told her to be careful because she may be getting ripped off. I don’t know what she told my friends, but I’ve been given the cold shoulder by her sons ever since.
This is a classic example of multi level marketing — aka pyramid scheme. The tell tale sign is the recruiting.
If you’re recruiting people to sell the same thing that you are, guess what… You’re significantly reducing your own sales and profit.
Real sales people are of course extremely protective of their territories and clients.
MLM organization’s profits come from fees paid by new recruits, not from selling products.
I believe they sell legitimate insurance and annuities, but I refuse to do business with such a blatantly deceitful organization.

I didn’t know what to expect when I first heard of People Helping People and was pleased to have a great experience.
I recently met with Erika Sanchez, a resourceful and helpful person in the organization. She was very knowledgable and patient with me, which I am grateful for as I have a very limited knowledge when it comes to finances. She reviewed my finances and helped me come up with a reasonable get out of debt plan. She reviewed different strategies to pay back my college loans and credit card debt. I didn’t think there was a way out as to me my debt is exorbinant, but after speaking with Erika I’m confident that I will be able to achieve that goal. The best part about this experience is I felt comfortable with Erika and that she genuinely cares about my well being.
Thank you Erika for teaching me. I look forward to working with you more in the future.

I knew nothing about money and finances and through an educated approach I learned so much. This firm is top notch and they helped me put something in place for myself. They showed me how under insured I was. This is a top notch company with top notch educators!

I had a friend who was a victim of this company, essentially an MLM (multi level marketing) this is not just an MLM but a living, breathing, cult like machine that is setup to take money from people seeking reputable jobs. This pyramid scheme is one of a kind, also known as an endless chain and is in violation of California civil code § 1689.2 and penal code § 327 because this is a classic and typical pyramid scheme. This company offers a quick way to «strike it rich» through their fraudulent business. You invest a certain amount of cash and get others (friends, relatives) to do the same. Your recruits get more people to join, and it continues like a chain letter. The problem is it can’t really be «endless» because at some point you won’t be able to find anyone else to join. The chain ends. The money stops coming in, the only one making monies are the investors and upper management. from my understanding this company uses undue influence which is another violation and see California civil code § 1575 (2) and also under California civil code § § 1619 – 1633 you should be able to recover or terminate the contract, because this company will probably have committed fraudulent inducement, though I cannot speak on anyone’s particular situation.
Not really sure how to reply on Unilocal!I spoke with a representative of PHP, and the PHP representative believes I am confused of the «other» PHP. There is no other PHP, there maybe a PHP in a separate location, but surely it is all the same. My contention is that it is a pyramid scheme all the same and I unfortunately cannot state otherwise.

My mom had a heart attack at 48 years old, she didn’t have life insurance. After the heart attack we weren’t sure that she would be able to. Matt and Alfredo out in Ventura were able to find her some life insurance only 13 months after her heart attack. Now my mom has life insurance. Thanks guy!

I was approached by one of the PHP recruiters at jamba juice in Northridge.
The girl asked if I wanted a part time job. I told her no,., but she started asking more questions about me and I told her whats the name of your company… People helping people… I asked what they did and she said that they were I financial planners…
then I asked her, hey if im going to be selling things like that don’t I need a series 7 license? of course noT… I could pay $ 250 and get all the training I need. I asked why they don’t pay for training and she said it was a way for me to start my own business…
then I told her I do have my own business, and would the job with PHP include me recruiting, she said if I wanted to be successful…
so she mainly told me it was a pyramid scheme…

A pyramid scheme (or Ponzi Scheme) is where an income is generated during the process of recruiting others into the business. Sometimes the pyramid is hidden within a product or service of a questionable value that is often of no use to the general public. In this case you are actually buying the right to recruit others into the scheme. While not all MLM products are scams, very few are profitable for any but the first few insiders to join a Multi-​Level Marketing Organization.
There should be never be any cost required to participate in recruiting new people. Affiliates should be paid only on product movement and NEVER on recruiting efforts.

PROFESSIONAL BRAIN RAPISTS
People Helping People (hereinafter «PHP») is a Multi Level Marketing/​Pyramid scam that is so craftily masterminded, they almost had me fooled. Here’s my story:
A couple of months ago, a Navy soldier (we’ll call him, «Adrian») approached me on the street, out of the blue, and engaged me in conversation. He was warm, friendly, outgoing, and personable. He struck me as genuine (a hard find in LA — no offense, fellow native Angelinos)
RED FLAG: In Los Angeles, warm, friendly, outgoing, personable people DON’T approach others on the street out of the blue. In the rest of the world this happens, maybe, but NOT Los Angeles. Not to be geeky, but Angelinos are much like the Borg of the Star Trek universe: We keep to ourselves and remain fixated on technology, reacting only to those we consider to be a threat.
Adrian asked me what I did for a living. He told me about his friend’s up and coming business and that they were expanding and looking for people. Didn’t tell me the name of the company or give any details. We traded info. A couple of months go by and he calls me, asking me to come in to meet with someone from the company. I figured there was no harm in investigating it further. He schedules an appointment for me. Didn’t tell me what it was exactly…
Firstly, the day of the mystery event, I get a call hours beforehand, explaining that it was business attire, which was not explained to me before. Luckily I dress business casual for work, but having been the only one at this «event» without a suit jacket and tie, I arrived under dressed. Nobody batted an eye.
RED FLAG: Angelinos are extremely judgmental. I should have gotten half a dozen dirty looks/​confused glares at this point.
Adrian begins introducing me to EVERYONE. They were all exorbitantly friendly… And I mean, SUPER friendly.
RED FLAG: NOBODY is THAT friendly in Los Angeles.
They all had the same conversation with me. In a nutshell, it went like this: «What do you do? Oh cool, I did _​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​ (insert widely different industry of work for each person); I did this to supplement my income; I have no regrets; Even if you don’t want to be an associate here, you’ll learn a lot.»
They then separated the «associates» from the «guests.» There were about 40 associates and 3 other guests. They put us guests in a small room with the «founder,» (We’ll call him Jorge) Jorge gave us an agonizing two hour Power Point presentation full of numbers, fancy graphs, irrelevant and extraneous facts about the economy, half truths, and rhetorical questions aimed to manipulate. All the while, outside in the other room, the associates were whooping, hollering, shouting, and having a grand olé time. It sounded like a Super Bowl Party full of coked out bodybuilders. At no point did Jorge offer an explanation for this wildly disruptive racket in the adjacent room. It was a weapon of mass distraction.
After the presentation each guest was then paired with the person who brought them in (for me, Adrian) and a more experienced associate for a Q&A. (In my case, let’s call him, Brett) What I finally gathered from Brett is that this gig is basically selling life insurance. To do this, you need to attend some classes, go to some training, and … pay $ 290 for a certification fee.
RED FLAG: $ 290 for a certification? No legitimate business would expect you to pay out of pocket for your training. He also kept saying that this was not a job, but an «entrepreneurial opportunity.» This is universal code for bullshit.
More hooting and hollering. I asked Brett, and he just assured me that it was the culture of the business. By this time, I had failed to realize that I had turned my phone off out of respect for the «presentation.» I had previously made plans with my dad. Two and a half hours later and no response from me to his calls, my poor dad probably assumed that I had been kidnapped, drugged, forcibly butt raped, and then had my organs harvested for sale on the black market. Ok, well maybe not all that, but he was worried — enough to actually show up to the address where I told him I would be to see that I was ok. If daddy dearest walked in on you to see if you were ok during a real job interview, you could kiss that job goodbye. Nope, not with an «entrepreneurial opportunity.» Unscheduled daddy visits are perfectly legit!
Finally I get out of the office. Adrian walks me out — along the way, lots of flattery. He then asked if I went to Church. «No,» I replied simply. Incidentally I think organized religion is a crock of shit. I wasn’t getting sucked into that.
In summation, this «company» is VERY skilled at manipulating people psychologically and emotionally by appealing to your ego, fear, and insecurities with the aid of flashy displays, props, and visual aids. Irrespective of these associates’ motives, being naïve gullibility, or a conscious and deliberate attempt to deceive, don’t let them sodomize your mind.

I am compelled to post a review of this business that I was introduced to about three years ago. Its founder Patrick Bet-​David set a high bar when he named his company People Helping People (PHP for short). Your smirk can be excused. I mean, how dare a company that sells life insurance and annuities imply the selfless connection about «helping people» right?
Wrong. That’s a cynical view and all too common nowadays. Yes, these guys recruit sales persons to sell very reputable insurance products. I was «recruited» but I never found it insulting or somehow wrong that I was approached — and no one gave me any grief because I chose not to go into sales. But still, I’ve been impressed with their honest attempt to try and do more. I’m not an employee or associate of the company, but I count myself an enthusiastic fan — I have purchased products from them and used the free resources they offer to help improve my own financial knowledge.
What strikes me most is that this is a group of professionals that isn’t afraid to wear their passion on their sleeve, maybe to a fault! PHP really is trying to do more than sell insurance. These guys fall over themselves trying to teach «old-​fashioned financial values», which they believe is a precursor to financial success and bettering your future. I subscribe to a few of their blogs that talk about money, life, decision-​making, you name it. I’ve bought and read the founder’s book «25 Laws for Doing the Impossible» which had some really good advice. I took a «spending habit» quiz they have on a companion website called GoAskNewton that answers questions on money matters (and doesn’t try to sell you anything). These guys are serious about this financial education stuff.
I read some of the negative comments put here and I just don’t get it. Sales and «crusades“are not for everyone — and certainly there are bad salespersons in every organization — but if you have a chance to consider PHP for its products or sales opportunities, you should hear for yourself what they have to offer.

PHP is what they call «Multi-​Level Marketing», in other words a «Pyramid Scheme». It’s not «HELPING», it’s «CONNING». PEOPLE CONNING PEOPLE should be its name.
Associates are not upfront with anyone, like a pyramid of associates feeding off the lower newbies. They make these new inductees think there’s a pot o’ gold waiting so greed sets in after a few testimonials from experienced directors and they hype you up constantly with these promises at every meeting while they bulkk you of every extra dollar, fleece you dry! Huge scam… waste of time & money!
They offer to employ you yet PHP Associates AKA «Recruiters» ask you for:
— $ 100 for membership and access to their website.
— Life Agent License fee $ 250 which comes later,
— $ 150 fee for Steve Wozniak Vegas ticket & $ 69 Vegas blocked hotel room by PHP.
— $ 54. per mo for membershipaccess/​website maintenance.
