There is no way I could possibly give enough credit to, or sing the praises of TRI, and the good people that work there, the true measured value and meaning of life that they have given back to me. I’m sure this must sound very dramatic, but after having my business, financial livelihood, and trust in people ripped away in 2005 by two greedy, unscrupulous men, one being my ex husband and the other my best friend and business partner, it felt like my life was over. I was broke, sick, bankrupt, my house foreclosed on, and on top of it, the State Board of Equalization was running after me for $ 118,000! Although I had nothing to do with the cooked books, stolen merchandize and money those 2 had gotten away with, I had been the partner who signed whatever my husband had told me to as far as taxes etc went, trusting him entirely. By the time the store closed in 2006, they had basically waltzed away and I was in court constantly, in Sacramento at appeals, and getting ripped off for hundreds of thousands of dollars by snakelike, unethical attorneys who took my money, did nothing, and in some cases would not even return my calls. I lost all hope and by January 2014 was even contemplating suicide. In desperation I got on Unilocal and read the great reviews about TRI. I thought to give it one last attempt at getting justice, believing there was none left in this state. I spoke to an angel of a man, Uriel Herrera when I called. I was told they would not take any money from me unless they were sure they could help me get this debaucle under control. With the interest, penalties and liens looming and growing every month that went by, i was terrified! They accessed my situation, made an Offer in Compromise in the amount of $ 1,760, assured me SBOE would take it (although I thought it was too good to be true) and to sit tight and wait to hear back. After living in fear for so long, afraid to go to the mailbox, sleepless nights, and no hope of ever having a real life again without looking over my shoulder, I was still pessimistic. Uriel was always there for me whenever I called for reassurance or needed guidance about how to proceed with my life in general while waiting. He was amazing. Well the end of my gory story finally came last week in the form of a letter from SBOE saying they accepted my OIC and my 8 year ordeal was finally over. I can now breath and have a normal life like other people, thanks to this amazing and professional group of concerned people!

I called the tax resolution institute after I was so frustrated with getting straight answers about some back taxes owed. Within half an hour, I got all the answers I needed from Peter, where I was in the dark for six months. He helped me solve all the issues I had with my returns and for less than what I thought. If you have an issue with the IRS, and I hope you don’t, I would call TRI. Highly recommended.

Not true (in reply to comment from Peter S. of Tax Resolution Institute 4÷24÷2012). I have a friend who was named specifically with regard to an IRS problem in their advertising or press releases. When his name IS Googled, a press release would cite his problem with his name and talk about how it could be avoided had he used Tax Resolution Institute. If not for this, I would probably not even be aware of this company.
Note also this person refers to «privacy of our clients.» I guess you’re safe from their advertising if you are a client.

I called about some general questions on my recent tax returns, and although I did not use their service since I didn’t really need their assistance, Peter Stephan was VERY nice and knowledgeable about tax law and gave me some GREAT advice! He told me how to proceed with my taxes. He spent a good 10 – 15 minutes giving me some really good info.
