The Grooming Salon

Let me start off by saying that Elizabeth is amazing. We had a circumstantial incident (by no means anyone’s fault) with our senior Persian cat’s grooming. She walked over to the hospital with us. Sat with us and made sure everything was ok, and everything was indeed ok. A paper cut like scratch and 30 min later, the precautionary hospital visit and entire grooming fees were covered by the salon and we were given advice on how to maintain our kitty’s heavily matted fur. Highly highly recommend this salon. Never seen customer service quite like this.

I am dog sitting my friends 14yr old Pug. Seems like the grooming always falls on me. Haven’t had a good experience with the groomers that his owner used. SO GLAD I stopped in today. The Grooming Salon was so accommodating and knew how to handle a senior dog. He has been playing around the house like he’s a 2 yr old since getting home. We’ve finally found our new home and his owner has been given the address and phone number. YAY!!!

My bully loves this place! They do a great job cutting/​filing his nails and he gets excited to come here because they are all so friendly!
On top of that he smells like a blueberry when I pick him up lol
How can I not love this place?

I took my 17 year old dog here for the first time and will be a repeat customer. My old girl has a hard time with grooming and Elizabeth accomodated our needs to perfection. She is wonderful and caring and this shines through in her work. My girl came out looking divine and didn’t have the stress she usually has when groomed. The Grooming Salon is the place to go in the West Valley!

We have been coming here for almost three years now! Romeo is such a happy boy each time he comes home and smells so good! The people that work here take the time to get to know you and know your name as well as your pup! I live in Simi Valley and take the drive just because you we love coming here !

I was so excited to bring my baby here after reading all the great Unilocal reviews. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience and it seemed as if all the dogs there were miserable as well.
When I called to find out some more information, I was told that they are professionals with cats as well as dogs. This made me very excited because it seemed like everywhere I called in the valley, did not work with cats. So I immediately set up an appointment.
Upon arrival, it was already not too good of an experience. It was so loud, dogs were barking uncontrollably in these little kennels. They took my scared cat and said it would be 3 hours. For only a haircut? I said ok and left. When I came back my cat was shaking uncontrollably and the woman charged me 65 $ for just a small cats hair shave, she then told me it will be much more next find because my cat was too skittish. At that point, I wanted to just get out of there.
As I brought my kitty into my car there was literally more hair coming off of her than I have ever seen. I mean I was baffled by the amount of hair was coming out of my cat after a service. Her haircut itself was not so good as well, there was no fading and you can see where they pulled the skin. She came home and hid for hours pulling at her nails, because they were cut way too short and licking the areas that were unevenly cut too short. I felt so terrible as if I brought my cat to a place that doesn’t even care about cats. I will not be bringing my cat, nor my dog here for that matter.
It is unfortunate that they say they are experts with cats, when in reality they are not.

I just wanted to say what a wonderful experience it was to take my little Westie Sc-​Ruffles to the Grooming Salon … Elizabeth is such a loving person and the best groomer … when they brought Sc-​ruffles out she looked like a show dog … Drop Dead Gorgeous … I thank you a thousand times Elizabeth.

I love this place. Of been taking my two Pomeranians here for the past couple of months and I love it. They actually look clean and they give them great haircuts. It’s kind of hard to make an appointment with them because they are very busy but it’s so worth to wait and take your dog to them

I have a very fearful rescue who hates to have his nails clipped, he’s a major biter. The girls at The Grooming Salon were so kind and understanding and so gentle with him! I will def be going back with all of my dogs, I can’t say enough good things about this place!

Had a great experience today! They were super nice my dog looked great and everything I asked to be done was done well. He looked amazing and I could not be happier. This is our new groomers close to home and super nice. Teddy thanks you guys!

Yep, it’s true! This place is great. I have been suffering with my groomer for years. I have strayed once or twice but I always found my way back to her dungeon. My Dog would often come home like she was drugged. You could never speak to the groomer yourself, she didn’t take phone calls and she didn’t like to come out of the back room.
But no more! I brought in our Chiweenie who is perfect and our Mini Pin Rescue who is not so perfect. their place is clean and the staff is professional and super friendly. Upon pick up, we were consulted by the groomer. I felt like I was at a doctor’s office.
This is one of those places from the first communication, you know you’re going to have a good experience and more importantly, so will your pets. Their prices are reasonable (but I would have paid double) and I was happy to leave a tip.

Elizabeth always does an outstanding job with my 10lb Pom/​Maltese. He even gets a super stylish Mohawk! Elizabeth is a sweetie pie and really cares about the quality of the work. I appreciate the location of this place as well as it being smaller and more intimate. More eyes on my pooch! The other girls who work there are also very nice!

Hmmmmm, lets see…, THEY ROCKED IT! Fonzi looks absolutely adorable! I will definitely be taking him back. I don’t know who groomed him, but THANKS!!!
I totally recommend this place. I would rather pay a little extra and have peace of mind knowing my lil guy is safe and well groomed.

Elizabeth, I have gone to you for long time and I will never will go back! You let your employee do a really bad poodle cut on Winston. The really sad thing is that you have a poor business since. You have lost a really good customer. For all you poodle lovers don’t go there you will get botched job, if she doesn’t hire more competent people.

I normally do not write reviews, but I have to for The Grooming Salon. They were fantastic. We took our teacup schnauzer puppy in for his first cut to Petsmart a few months back and they could not trim his face because he would not behave. Needless to say his face hair was very long. We decided to give the Grooming Salon a shot based on the incredible Unilocal reviews and proximity to our house. I don’t know the name of the lady who cut our puppy’s hair, but she did a fantastic job. We will definitely be coming back. What’s even better is he was done in a few hours rather than him being penned up all day at Petsmart, which I’m sure he hates. 5 stars for The Grooming Salon!!!

When I first walked in I was warmly welcomed by Becky. Pretty awesome considering it was a Sunday morning!
After some basic Q&A, Becky (who was very professional), passed my puppy to Kate, who took care of the rest.
2 hrs. later I went back to pick up my puppy (she’s actually 2 yrs old now), I was so HAPPY with the service!!!
Kimber (my puppy) looked so CLEAN & HAPPY~!
I just told Becky & Kate to give her the full spa package (we laughed at that).
I already scheduled my next appointment for Kimmi to return for some pampering.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND~!

I have found a grooming home for my pet for the many years to come…

After skipping around to different groomers, I’ve finally found the best spot! I took my 12 year old Lhasa Apso here and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. First off, I slept through Ginger’s appointment…(whoops) and they still fit us in. When I picked Ginger up she looked like she was ready for a doggie photo shoot. Best of all, it’s been 3 weeks and she’s still looking great!

We went on a search here on Unilocal to look for a new groomer. We’ve never been totally pleased with the groomers we have used in the past. We stopped into The Grooming Salon to check it out. We found parking to be easy with the parking lot off the street in the back, which was nice. The facility is clean and you can see into the grooming area which is comforting since often times the grooming areas in places dog grooming places aren’t easily visible. I like that you can always see into what’s going on during the grooming process. It’s also very clean back there. Jennifer met with us and we talked about what we were hoping for with our boy’s cut. She was great! Easy to talk to and knew what we were going for. Later that day, we booked an appointment.
We don’t like standard Schnauzer cuts and Jennifer listened to our wants and the result was totally to our satisfaction. Our little guy not only looked great when we picked him up but he smelled awesome too! He didn’t smell totally perfumy like he so often does when he comes out of grooming. He looked great and happy too.
We also have another who doesn’t need grooming but was in need of gland expression. The Grooming Salon does that too. We were impressed with the way Jennifer handled our nervous little girl who isn’t terribly fond of strangers but took nicely to her handling.
We love The Grooming Salon and will be back.

Unfortunately years ago I had an awful or should I say my Shihtzu had an awful experience where she would urinate out of fear at her arrival to the groomer and we would cry leaving her because we knew something horrific had happened/​would happen with her experience. :-/​
No lie, my Brussels Griffon & lil boy Shihtzu were so happy today coming and going here. Just call or walk into this place and you will see why.
