Warner Center Chevron Food Mart

Customer service here is amazing. We went here having some issues with Western Union. Sanjay Balyan (I think he’s the store manager) stepped up and took his time to help us. He didn’t have to but he went above and beyond. He was really professional and deserves a 5 star rating on customer service. This guy deserves a pay raise from his boss. He values his work and is really good at it. Kudos to you my friend! Thank you for all that you do.

This place is probably the cleanest, friendly, and well organized gas station and store in the area. I lost my wallet with all my IDs, And credit cards in it and Jason called me the next morning to notify me to pick it up after someone found it in the parking lot. I go to this store at least 3 – 4 times a day. It has a cleaners next door and Starbucks next door to it. The employees are nice, helpful and respectful.

Jason’s customer service is phenomenal. He went out of his way to return my cell phone that I lost on the road. He displays a high degree of morality and superior customer service while providing a friendly smile. He is a great asset to the company. I’m glad he works there! :)

The reason I give this place 5 Stars is for the following:
Clean = Yes
Large area to move around to get in and out = Yes
Friendly Staff = Yes
Starbucks next door = Yes
Free Air and Water = Yes
Variety of goodies = Yes
Gas Price = The same as every other Chevron nearby
You can not compare their gas price to the gas station across the street that’s like comparing a Yugo to a BMW. I have been to the gas station across the street you get the better price if you pay in cash, the bathrooms are nasty, and the staff who is behind glass makes me worried about how many times they have been robbed. Then I paid for gas and now want air and he said I had to pay for it. Hummmm…
The Chevron across the street gives me free water and air no matter if I get gas or not.

So for me they get 5 Stars and 2 Thumbs up!

I was coming to this gas station pretty regularly, because I’m in this area fairly often. However after my last visit, I doubt I’ll be back… Besides the overpriced gas (compared to nearby competitors) there are shady drifters that loiter here daily. When I’m wearing a nice suit, it doesn’t feel very comfortable to be approached by a guy with neck tattoo’s asking me for money. How about a security guard?
The straw that broke the camels back is an elderly Asian man working here. While some of the other clerks have been really nice, this guy was ridiculously rude for no reason at all and literally snapped on me when I was double checking my purchase total. The same cashier has also disputed an advertised sale before with me as well. For these reasons, I will probably not come back. Perhaps he’s just an employee, so he doesn’t care, but I refuse to give an establishment my hard earned money if they don’t appreciate my business!

So many goodies in here!
My job moved next too this gas station/​mini market and I love it.
It is always fully stocked. They have ice cream, drinks, chips, soups, burritos, fruit, salads, candy, gum, frozen food, etc.
The staff is also very friendly and well mannered. Thank goodness this place is within walking distance.
Right next to the store is a Starbucks, sandwich shop, and a dry cleaners.

Cool, safe, gas station to stop in if you’re hungry.

The gas prices are not the most competitive but you can definitely stop in to grab a few snacks before you hit the 101 freeway!

Eduardo and Jose/​Juan (don’t know his name exactly) are the only two nice guys working there, the rest are all joke.
Sunny and morning manager are both rude and so are the other employees. Spend more time talking to girls than concentrating on customers in line.
I used to buy sandwiches inside but, because of the nasty attitude of the lady in the hand made sandwich section I, stopped going there to buy sandwiches. I told my family and relatives, we all stopped going there.
I was told that the manager’s brother works upstairs so, he can do and treat customers the way he wants as, they are all Indians so, there job is secure.
I was told that the managers brother is a Vice president of that branch somehow. Morning manager is very disrespectful so as the evening guy Sunny. Both of em should go if, Chevron care about their customers.

This convenience store location features a Starbucks, sandwich stand and drycleaning center on the same lot. The store offers a couple of money transfer services, an ATM and a varierty of snacks. Buying gas could be a challenge depending on the time of the day. The entrances and exits are usually crowded and disorganized making parking and pump access rather impossible.
Pay attention to the advertised gas prices. There is a different price for credit and another for cash or debit. The explanation provided for the discrepancy is just as ridiculous as my statement. Anyway, the higher price is usually offered at the pump. I usually go across the street when I don’t need the other services offered, as their prices could be between 20 – 30 cents cheaper per gallon. I also find it odd that the advertised prices are not properly displayed to patrons. You really have to look for it.
And it helps that they sell lottery tickets, which the gas station across the street doesn’t.

Don’t ever get a sandwich at Rubens. One of the girls is very unpleasing never going back!!!

One of my favorite gas stations. The sandwiches at the little deli thing are amazing. So good.

Do NOT buy lotto tickets from this place. The guys at the counter hold on to old tickets and try to sell them off to unsuspecting customers. I asked for a $ 10 mega and noticed something was off when the guy didn’t punch it in the machine, and then handed it off to me… Nice try a-​hole! I gave it back to him and let him know it was from last week. He appologized and gave me a new one, from the machine.
Who knows how many times they’ve done that to other customers… Not coming back here for lotto tix, or their over-​priced gas.

I walk here before or during work to grab snacks and drinks. The attendants are nice. It’s a clean mart. Items and gas are kinda pricey but what do you expect, we’re in Warner Center… It’s convenient so it suits me.

This gas station kinda sucks because I went and tried to get gas, but couldn’t fit into one of the pump stations because some car in front of me was pumping gas. We were literally bumper to bumper. Or maybe that car could’ve moved up a bit. Long story short: the pump couldn’t even reach my tank, and I have a mid-​size car. I couldn’t wait for the person to move so I went to the Chevron on Topanga Canyon… more spacious & less crowded!

I love the price of the gas here. However, I can’t count how many times I’ve pulled in to find out that all the pumps were full. But not because people were pumping gas but because they had parked their cars there to go either into the quick mart or the Starbucks. Very rude.
Also, a couple times I’ve gone there & their machines keep locking up when I try to pay with my card. After several tries I usually just move to a different pump (once again, if available) and try there.

While this is a newer gas station and it looks quite nice, I am not happy when I have to go here. I only go here when I am in a rush and need just a bit of gas to get myself to point B. This place is pricier than other places in the area — and I’m referring to their gas and the food mart.
Also, I had and incident where I was about to put some gas in my car and the nozzle malfunctioned and locked in the «on» position. So when I pulled it off of the pump to put it in my car, gasoline sprayed everywhere! Gasoline got on my pants, the pump, and the side of my car. I went inside the food mart to tell the attendant what happened and he gave me an insincere «sorry about that» and didn’t offer any help. Aside from that dude the attendants are always straight faced and unfriendly.
I make efforts to avoid this place because of the poor prices and cruddy customer service, but the convenient location can be hard to resist.

Beware! If entering on Canoga Ave. they have a big sign with the prices listed for gas… however, in the smallest print they state it’s for cash or debit. If you are paying by credit card, it is $ 0.10 more. It may not be a lot to you, but I just felt like they were intentionally being sneaky! I didn’t notice the different price until I started pumping. They are also one of the more expensive gas stations in the area.

The pumps were easily accessible and the exterior of the station was clean. Service attendant was friendly. We were here less than five minutes so it feels a little odd to write up a full review.

This is a really nice gas station. The employees are always upbeat, they have a sandwich deli which makes good sandwiches. The gas station is conveniently located next to a Starbucks and a dry cleaners. All is good. On busy/​lazy days, they have a premade tuna sandwich in a refrigerated area that is really good. Yea, their gas prices might be a bit high, but, I live in Santa Monica so it’s still 50 cents cheaper per gallon for me.

Normally I wouldn’t review a service station but I think these guys stand out. A little more expensive than some other places but they are closer and more convenient. The «kicker» is the service you get inside. Always friendly and professional. Very clean and comfortable inside. Overall it’s a place I gas up my truck with great customer service you can’t find anywhere else. The service station is probably somewhere most of us go pretty regularly (at least those of still driving gas guzzlers) and I like to see some good service like back in the day.
